George came to look at my A/C that was not working. Upon his arrival I gave him what was going on with my A/C he listened very intently and proceeded to see what the issue was. Geotags was very through in his investigation of the problem. After about an hour of his time he informed my system had a leak and he knew that but his equipment could not find it. He said honestly I don’t have a fix but you have a leak which I knew after serval others just put Freon in and it would freeze again he took the time to (try) to find it! He gave me quote on a new system which would solve the issue and it has after a month and a half with no air. Today it very comfortable. Geotags was extremely through and kept in contact on time and gave me excellent service. Would I recommend YES. Thank you for all your efforts.
Very impressed with Harlan. We had a company come out to do a yearly inspection, they not only told us we needed to change our furnace out but when they left, our furnace that had been running fine before didn't work. Harlan came, troubleshot the issue with it not working and then fixed our furnace instead of replacing it. Thankfully he was able to get out quickly and get it taken care of for us before the winter storm.
George is condescending, rude, and patronizing. He ignored me the whole time I was in his presence, made it very clear he did not want to be on this job, and he only came back inside the house to have me sign the paperwork, and made me feel that because I’m a woman, I don’t need to know or deserve an explanation on what’s wrong with our AC. I had to actually ask him what his diagnosis was. He then proceed to berate me in an accusatory manner that we were trying to get him electrocuted because of the “shotty wire work” on an AC unit that we’ve never had looked at prior because we’ve only been in the house for a month. He had called my fiancé prior to let him know his “discoveries” and tried to blame it on him as well and then lectured me again when he had me sign the paperwork, already knowing we had no idea and we’re brand new homeowners. Sorry that my fiancé and I are not knowledgeable in HVAC or electrical work, and to assume your customers would, is asinine. It’s why you’re there in the first place! He then proceed to tell us this is work for “an electrician”. We had two people out since to review and inspect the AC unit, one of them being an electrician and both said that Harlan was being lazy and looking for any excuse to not do the job and that the working conditions were completely safe. The electrification was flabbergasted that he was sent out to inspect something that AC tradesmen are completely capable of and expected to do. We weren’t surprised to hear this, as we were left feeling that all components of an AC unit should be within the job description of what a heating and cooling company should be able to fix. I would absolutely never recommend George or anyone from Harlan Heating and Cooling based off of this experience and we let our home warranty company know as well that he should not be a recommended vendor to work with.
We had a great experience with Harlan Heating and Cooling when we had to replace our furnace. Everything was done in a professional, timely, and honest manner. George was very accommodating and took the time to answer all of our questions and concerns in detail. Everything is finished and the furnace is working great. We will definitely call Harlan next time we have any heating or cooling issues.
He supposedly reconnected our thermostat wire. He didn’t clean the connections or press the plastic down for a tight connection on the copper line. Charged my wife 50 dollars to clean it when it wasn’t even cleaned good. The wire came apart not even 2 weeks of using our condenser. He tried to say he would charge me $150 to fix the wire I fixed in 10 minutes. He took advantage of my wife because she doesn’t know much about hvac. He blamed my dog for everything even before he saw the wire and got to my house.

He located the obvious leak but searching farther he identified a second leak internally on the evap coil and also identified a mismatch between the size of the evap coil and the size / volume of the condenser. George replaced the internal evap coil and rechecked thoroughly for any unidentified leaks, recharged the unit and verified the repair. I was very impressed that he called me later to confirm that the unit was operating properly. It was the most satisfactory service experience I’ve had in years. Thanks George for being a true professional and caring about your customers!!
George came out due to a furnace not firing up. He checked a few things and it started working every time. He admitted he was stumped but he kept at it. Finally found a loose main connector on the control board. Problem solved. Took quite a while to find the problem, but still only charged me for a service call. I had never used his services before, but now I will never use anyone else. Excellent guy and excellent work!👍👍👍👍👍
George was very knowledgeable and helpful, and gave us tips about the heater’s filter system. He took the time to explain what he was inspecting with the heater and what he found. He was also on time, professional and friendly.
The most honest and professional person that has ever done work in our home. He is very matter of fact but knowledgeable. He has come to our home many times and for this last repair he came out a few times to try and repair with no luck and it turned out we needed a new furnace. Because of his due diligence it was discovered that the pipes on the inside were rusted and had holes which meant carbon monoxide was leaking into our home. He took the time to talk to me about getting a CO detector and what to look for in a way that made sense. If I ever need repairs on anything heating or cooling this is the only business I will reach out to.
