Our heat went out and we called this company. They came out to check it and 20 minutes later came up stairs and said you need an entire new furnace. I have brand new white plush carpet in my living room and the tech walked through it with his boots on. I was so upset as i tried to have him walk around the other way but he clearly ignored me. So they tell us a crew would be here between 4 & 5 to start the job and it would take 4-6 hours to complete it. Crew shows up at 4... at 7pm they come up and say can we come back in the morning- we ran into an issue. I was a little taken back but umm i guess so. (No worries. I’ll go another night with no heat in my house) he said he would be back by 8am to complete the job. Ok perfect. 8 comes and goes. 8:30 passes by- 9am swiftly passes by- 9:35 the tech shows up. No apology no nothing. His “grunt worker” was waiting in his truck out front of my house on time. I’ll get back to why i said grunt worker. Shortly after they arrived 3 other guys came here and they were all in my basement talking really loud swearing and laughing. Meanwhile 30 minutes passes by- let’s waste more time.
At 11am shawn said we need a part we’re gonna run over to Home Depot. Sure. An hour and 45 minutes later they get back with a small bag from HD in hand. Now I told them i had somewhere i needed to be at noon today- i mentioned this when they got here at 9:45. The main guy (Shawn) said we can leave and come back tomorrow if we’re not done. Nah that’s ok. I need heat. Since they were gone for almost 2 hours i surely could’ve run out and did what i needed to if i knew they would be gone that long. We purchased a new thermostat and were told it could be put in by the first guy that came to the call and told us we needed the furnace- but Shawn didn’t feel like doing it so it didn’t get done. Said it wasn’t compatible but the funny thing is- it’s the EXACT same one that’s hanging on the wall now. Exactly the same one. Guess Bc I’m a female he figured i wouldn’t know that. As they are finishing up they ask me for a filter. I said no i don’t have one it’s a new furnace how was I to know what size. And Shawn looks at me all wide eyed and arrogant condescending attitude and says “ain’t no company gonna supply a filter” WHAT! You took mine out replaced my entire system were paid 3500 bucks for it and couldn’t stick in a 4$ filter! What a joke! While i love supporting smaller local businesses, this is the draw back of them! They’re not properly staffed- they don’t have ANY extra perks- nothing! I would suggest going somewhere else for a major project. They may be good for a quick fix- getting your AC cold again- clearly not changing out a thermostat so don’t call here for that. I don’t recommend this company-
Not even in the slightest. Now why i said grunt worker. While Shawn sat in the basement he never once helped his helper carry up any of the old parts. Not a single one. There is a lot of stairs to the basement and a curve mid way down. Shawn would also send his helper to go get his tools while he sat down there. It upset me so much to see the one guy slugging everything up the stairs by himself. As Shawn sat on his butt the entire time. Luckily a 3rd guy helped him bring the new furnace down. I can’t imagine Shawn would’ve even attempted to help. I also saw them coming yesterday and i moved my car out of the drive so the helper could back the truck into the drive way with the trailer that was attached. Guess what! Shawn went ahead and slid into the driveway telling his helper to park on the street. Guess where all the parts needed to be carried to? Yep! The helpers truck! EDIT-let me clarify- i didn’t make the call for repair the landlord did. 2 techs showed up today1/18/20 to fix the humidifier with no call ahead. I had no clue and they asked me to take the review down. Very upset when i said no. Also they told our Landlady about the review lol and mentioned legal action. Can’t take the truth about a bad job done.
