Five Star HVAC installed a central air system in my 1920's high rise unit. There was no cavity to run the ductwork so it had to be installed within the rooms. They did a great job preventing excessive soffits having to be created. The work was extremely well done and efficient. The system is running perfectly. I will be using them for my annual service of the system.

Own a 2-flat on far NW side of Chicago. Had 5 Star do a CENTRAL AC tuneup very end of May for $160.00, which I thought was a fair price.
This past weekend my upstairs tenants complained they had NO AC for past 3 days @ 6:45PM on Monday after 5 Star closed.
Called them @ 9:15 AM on Tuesday and able to book a SAME day late afternoon Appt.
The office texted me that Sergio was enroute exactly during the 2 hr window that was scheduled. He did a full diagnostic assessment. Problem was an overly dirty filter! Because June-July were especially hot, filter should’ve been changed every 3 weeks instead of 4!
Sergio was Uber courteous, knowledgeable.
Only negative I felt was the charge of $195.00, $35.00 higher than end of May to check BOTH units of my 2-flat.

This is the third time we used Mark and Five Star. Mark is incredibly knowledgable and helped us convert to a fully electric heating and cooling system that is solor compatible. The price was the same as gas replacement and thousands cheaper than our other bids. Having Mark's expertise is invaluable, especially considering he also crushes everyone else on price.

Five Star is a great company! They promptly responded to my request for an appointment to repair my AC unit; arrived much earlier than scheduled; quickly evaluated and repaired the unit; and provided information regarding my purchase of related parts. The service technician was very professional, knowledgeable, efficient and effective.

furnace wouldn't start -- turned out there was rubble in the chimney from recent brick work. they said that's not our problem, and left. Seems to me their job was to get my furnace working.

I'm a first time home owner and inherited an ancient HVAC system that needed to be replaced (furnace & AC). I had a million questions and everyone I interacted with at Five Star was so nice and helpful. They were recommended to me by a friend, and I will be passing along the recommendation to anyone I know who needs HVAC help. Also, the humidity in my house is consistently lower with my new system and I'm so thankful for that since we're getting more swampy summers here in Chicago.
