Aloha.
I contacted Ivan with the intention of having a whole house fan system installed .
I thought that I had done my due diligence with research on the product and was ready to go ahead and order the system for delivery.
Ivan asked me some questions about my house and actually looked it up online and was able to remotely do measurements of the attic and interior gables. The specs showed him that my intended system wouldn’t work and he explained what would work.
I went with a QuietCool AFG SMT ES-3.0
Smart Attic Gable Fan and some accompanying interior gable registers.
The fan arrived next day and I had it installed and synced with phone the following day.
There was a very noticeable difference with just this one fan.
Ivan really helped me with avoiding a big mistake with my time and money.

Island Cooling installed whole house fans in my six bedroom home. It has been amazing how much cooler that house is when I turn on the fans. Living in Kaneohe, it is not usually very hot. But on days where there is no breeze, the fans help circulate the air and keeps us cool.

I am sorry for our home this just wasn't something that worked out very well. Our townhouse gets a good breeze from the east, but the side that faces the parking lot (Southwest) would get really hot so we had the vent installed to try to remedy that. The PROBLEM was that where the vented hot air would go OUT in the roof area was right above my bedroom window and so the hot air that went out would get sucked right back into the house. I also don't like "repeated noise" so for me this was just too noisy. We would use it at "full speed" for about an hour when we came home from work to try to get a lot of the hot air out, but honestly it just didn't make enough of a difference for us. I tried using it on low for 2 to 4 hours to see if that helped but the thermostat didn't change, it was still hot in that area of the house which is upstairs. I think if it was a single-family dwelling where you could vent out differently, it might work much better.

I had Purchase two large ventilation fans to move hot air out of a space above a drop ceiling. Product works very well and been in service for almost 2 years 24/7. I highly recommend Island Cooling and there Products

He made sure I had everything I needed and the whole home fan was ready to install when it arrive here on Maui. So nice to be able to move air thru my home when the trades stop. Good source to get a whole house fan. Bear in mind what they do - they are meant to draw in cool air in the morning and at night - the outside air then keeps your house cooler for a while in the day.

It might not replace the need for AC, but you will use AC less. A WHF is much more efficient than regular AC.

The rep had very good customer service. He was knowledgeable and friendly. The fan works well. If I did it again I would have upsized my units a bit but overall I am very happy with my house fan units.

Ivan was great. Helped me to get the contractor that installed my units to come back to my house to brace up one of the vents in my ceiling. It was a big relief for me not having to contact, and deal with the contractor. Thanks Ivan!

Island Cooling is the BEST!! We absolutely love our whole house fan system, it saves us money when used in conjunction with our A/C . We had it installed in 2014 and it runs like a charm, I just had to change out the on/off switch recently. Al is so professional, he answers all my questions and gives me tips on making my unit work more efficiently. If I have a problem or a questions, Al always answers the phone, I never have to wait to get an answer. This is an awesome company and they stand by their products 100%.
