Island Cooling

We purchased three whole house fans from Ivan and self installed them. Ivan was very helpful for this process and had recommendations for installers if we changed our minds. We love our fans, they make the stuffy rooms cool as if they had an island breeze.

Island Cooling supplied whole house fans for customer install. Fans were delivered as committed with adequate instruction for a DIYer with basic carpentry, drywall and electrical skills.
Our busy street noise precludes us from opening doors and widows on the front side of the home, the fans make up for that loss of ventilation and more, keeping us cool, comfortable and no stuffy air!!

Our home had always been hot and some rooms were unbearable in the early afternoon. Some nights I couldn't sleep even with the window open. When I was working at home during the pandemic, it was terrible.

It's nearly a year since we interviewed Ivan Whitworth about possible whole house fan installation at our townhouse. Ivan answered all our technical questions and gave us confidence in the Island Cooling products. Because I live in townhouse community, approval from the Board of Directors was needed; Ivan walked us through that process so we were not surprised and we were able to complete the necessary forms to obtain BoD approval. Additional attic vents needed to be installed to facilitate movement of the warm air out of our townhouse; those additional vents were provided by Island Cooling. Installation occurred on the date discussed. We use the fan connected to our master bedroom every night. We sleep comfortably. Island Cooling products were about 1/3 the price of a quote we received for a split AC in our townhouse. Mahalo to Ivan, and the electricians and vent installers that he recommended.

I used Island Cooling to vent our whole house. Three fans were installed and now we hardly use our split air system. The installers were professional and courteous. I'm really happy with their work.

Ivan is cares about his work and customers. There was a little hiccup installing the whole house fans because of my small attic, but Ivan fixed the issue and stayed within budget. The whole house fans have been working great for the past several years.

Ivan made the job easy. He was prompt with a quality roofer. If you need to kill the heat, especially in the evenings, when the trads slack off you should really look at getting a whole house fan. installation was quick and easy and we use it often to cool the house when the trades drop, its a game changer.

One of my 4 fan control units was not working. I called to request that it be looked at. My call was taken promptly and work was scheduled conveniently. The repair work was done efficiently.
