Aaron and Chris were the technicians who came to my house on August 4, 2022. I had a really bad experience with the AC people who installed both my units! So I wasn't going to use them again. They installed one of my units without a way to filter the dust causing my unit to fail! If that wasn't enough, they were going to charge me for a new one! Crooks! I did not pay them and told my CC company to tell them so. I never heard from them again! I told you this so you would understand how much honesty means to me. I'm 74 and live alone. I'm unable to climb attic stairs to check on the work. I feel I was taken advantage of!
I found Aaron and Chris to be honest, knowledgeable and thorough. I was so pleased with their work. They checked things that I didn't even think about. I feel well taken care of. They serviced my system and gave me an honest report. All is well with my AC. I feel so much better knowing that!! I will be calling them again. Don't let Aaron's scuffy appearance fool you, LoL 😂😂😂 He knows his business!!

UPDATE (28DEC22; about a year later): I continue to have issues with my systems. Technicians have been to my house 5 times in the last two weeks to diagnose problems. Each time, I'm told "there's nothing wrong with the system".

My system is failing to reach the temperature set at the thermostat and has turned into a block of ice twice in two weeks. I'm no expert, but that's not right. While I'm no expert, apparently neither are the people employed at this organization.

All I want is to have working systems in the both the Summer and Winter. For the amount of money I paid for these, it shouldn't be that much of an issue. My first review (below), was based on payment problems for the same issues. My systems are two years old and one is continually worked on.

Fix my stuff, install a new system, or give me a refund!

While the technicians are all very nice people, four different techs have been to my house in less than a year to fix problems with the system they installed. Each time, the tech says, “This system wasn’t installed correctly.”

Now I keep getting harassed by their billing department. They expect me to pay service fees for a tech coming out to fix a problem they caused.

I was disappointed in the suggestion made to resolve my AC problem during some of the hottest day of the summer. I am senior with budgeted income. I wanted to find the most affordable solution. I believe they might have thought this was an opportunity to take advantage of me as they offered me the absolutely most expensive option available which was around $19,000 total cost for a brand new unit since they claimed mine was practically no good. I had someone else resolve my problem with a 3 month guarantee for $400. Buyers beware of sales pitches. Thank goodness I found another great and honest company to help me!

Update to a new service call:
During September I had a issue with my HVAC unit, had techs come out as emergency on a Saturday they said it was Freon leak, and they couldn't see the leak and would have to come back Monday after it the pipe had thawed out. Monday morning I spoke to Kelly she said it would take all day to find the leak and she was looking into scheduling me. Promising to call me Tuesday, never called and so I waited all week, finally getting upset and distressed I called again spoke to someone else, they had Aaron come out on Wednesday, found the leak and fixed it. Aaron turned a bad experience into a great experience I'm just still upset that it took a whole week and a half for someone to come out to my house because I have health issues as well as my elderly mother in law and we have pets!

Came next day to fix my AC unit. They said they didn't have the necessary electrical wires. Yes, you read that correctly- the necessary electrical wires to fix the issue. Said they would return next day from 2-4 pm. Did not receive a phone call so I called at 4 pm next day. They said they were delayed and apologized for not calling at all that day. I got a phone call at 5:30 pm saying they were no longer going to be able to make it because of weather. It is August in Savannah- there is a chance of rain every afternoon. It did not rain at all day. Thanks for being terrible and risking my pets lives by not fulfilling your business obligations.

When our AC stopped working in July, I thought we’d take a couple of days to get replacement quotes from two companies before proceeding. My mistake was choosing Coastal for one of those quotes. First, they charged $195 to run diagnostics that we didn’t need given that I had already decided to replace an AC unit that clearly had outlived it’s life/efficiency. Secondly, they said we had to replace the entire unit even though the heating portion was fine and has been rarely used in Savannah. Then, they said we needed to make a choice in units costing between $19-25k! They also tried to push a maintenance plan costing several hundred dollars per month! We ended up getting a new AC unit installed by Arctic Air for $8k a few days later and we are very satisfied. Unless you are made of money or just like wasting your hard-earned dollars, I’d highly recommend avoiding this company.

My system was disabled in a power surge during TS Ian. This team diagnosed the issues, ordered only those parts that needed replacing and got my system running good as new. They have been servicing the system for three years, and I don't anticipate that I will ever need to hire anyone else to maintain and service my system.
