Derek is total professional and knows the systems. Very responsive and keeps you up to date on when he will arrive. I have never had another service company as good as Local Guy. I highly recommend them and will only use them to work on my units. Hope this helps anyone looking for very professional and honest service.

If you go anywhere else its your own fault. I shopped around having 4 companies come to the house. (Actually kicked one out of my house) Had quotes and ideas from them all. So, I don't write reviews, but these guys are the real deal. You know when you always ask yourself . Why can't I find an honest, hard working ( will out work any other service) person. Well if my dad was still alive today he would love these guys and I would let them work on his house. Good people find good people.
Just call them and have them guide you in the right directions.

Quick response to emergency calls. Our AC went out late Christmas afternoon and our air was fixed by 9:00 am the next morning. Always on time and usually shows up a little early for appointments. Just as quick to respond for regular maintenance needs. We have an older unit so when we have AC issues they respond within a few hours!!! Honest....this guy will tell you like it is.... wont replace anything if it doesn't need it! AFFORDABLE ....PROMPT.... DEPENDABLE... TRUST WORTHY....HONEST.... KNOWLEDGEABLE. ... WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT FROM YOUR LOCAL AC GUY!!!

I can’t say enough about how happy I am with this business. I emailed them last night when my AC quit at 10 pm, I got a return message at 4 am and a phone call before 8. Have used them 4 times and service is always outstanding. Nice people who really know their business and charge reasonable prices. Would never use anyone else!

We had another company install our AC system about a year ago and have had continuous problems. When the original installer was not able to come out to fix their mistakes we called Local Guy AC and they were out almost immediately. We eventually had Local Guy AC do a complete reinstall of our system and could not be happier with the result. We would highly recommend them to anyone in our community.

Great experience had to replace both units and they got out there super quick and knocked out the job. A very good price and a great staff. Derek has my business for a very long time. Thank you local guy you saved the day!!!!!!!!!!

I'm a former employee of Derek and I worked for him for 2 years. Now not only was Derek an excellent boss, he became a great friend, and is a phenomenal person. I have never seen him lie to a customer and he's never lied to me. Derek always worked with people and never let us take the easy way out. If we could fix it and save you money then that's exactly what we would do no matter how tough it was. I left Local Guy to move across the country and Derek and I still talk almost every day. Without Derek I wouldn't be where I am in life today, and I am grateful for that. So if you're looking for an honest and hard working AC man then Derek is the one.

When “call us 24/7 for emergency service” is only a slogan

We had a new unit installed by Local Guy AC at our daughters house on a Friday. My daughter was satisfied with the install. Three days later at approx 8:30pm on Monday, they noticed the temperature was rising to 79 and the new unit stopped running. My son in law called and spoke with Derek, the owner. Derek said they would not come out that evening and would be there first thing in the morning. On Tuesday Derek and another tech arrived at the house and by this time the temp inside the house was 82. My wife said to Derek, “we called last night.” Derek abruptly said, “We don't come out at 8:30pm.” I showed Derek the attached screen shot from their website that states,

“Air conditioning not running? Blowing warm air instead of cold?.... Not running at all? Have a leak? Call us, 24/7 for emergency service and repairs….”

I asked Derek, why didn't you come out last night? My daughter has 4 kids under 10 years old and needed it fixed. Derek started to get testy and said, “the temperature was 79 and I wasn't going to leave my family.” Unfortunately when you own a small business and advertise 24/7 emergency service, you almost have to give up a normal home life. When Derek said “the temperature was 79 and I wasn't going to leave my family.” I then realized that Derek determines when it's an “emergency” and the words in his ad was merely a slogan. Derek continued to be very aggravated by my question as we walked outside to continue the discussion. About 20 or 30 minutes later Derek called me over and apologized for his behavior and for not coming out the night before.

Bought a brand new AC unit. Installation was good. A few days later my unit stopped working completely. We called at 8pm since they say they serve 24/7. The owner said he would call and come out the next morning. My AC was at 79 degrees and getting much warmer. I have 4 small children where this was just unacceptable. By morning it was 82 in my home. I would have chose another service if I knew they didn’t honor their own word. When questioning why they didn’t come out the night prior, Derek was very rude. Will be looking elsewhere in the future.
