We recently had a company come in to assess our AC unit, as we had just purchased a new home with a small unit upstairs for two bedrooms. The technician informed us that repairing the unit would cost a few thousand dollars and even then, there was a chance it could break again. To our surprise, he suggested replacing the unit altogether, estimating a staggering cost of over 8 thousand dollars. Furthermore, he claimed that the unit had a leak and was plagued with mold, emphasizing how terrible this was, especially for a new married couple looking to start a family. Thankfully, we decided to seek additional opinions before making any decisions. We were relieved to find that the other two experts we consulted disagreed with the initial assessment. They found no evidence of mold and offered to fix the unit at a cost that was less than half of the first technician's quote. This experience served as a valuable lesson for us, highlighting the importance of obtaining multiple opinions and not allowing others to take advantage of our situation. In conclusion, it is essential to exercise caution and obtain second and third opinions when dealing with such matters. Don't hesitate to be diligent in protecting yourself from potential exploitation
When spending over $20,000 on AC systems, there is an expectation that things are done right.
With our new A/Cs, during the first year we had 5-10 different service calls and ultimately the A/C is STILL not able to keep the house cool during the summer. On every hot day, the temp rises several degrees above the set point. They have not been a help to resolve the underlying issue and I do worry that the system that they installed is not a good match for our home.
On top of that, they seem to have chosen to not use a certified electrician to make changes to our main service box, which caused issues down the road. Zero accountability for them to come fix the issue for our A/C that was only installed 10 months ago (they delayed, delayed, argued, argued).
Extremely unprofessional. I really wish that I had seen this post prior to spend 20 grand and that I had gone with a better company.
I am sure they will argue in a response to this post, it definitely is their style.
P.S. Shirley on the phone is incredibly nice and absolutely the shining star within Air Care :)
I’ve had extremely poor luck with large a/c companies. My mothers a/c system had failed on a Saturday. My mother has life threatening medical conditions and two previous companies had told me that a new system was my only option which would cost thousands of dollars. In a Hail Mary attempt, I contacted Air Care of Central Florida and had a working system at my mothers home in less than 20 minutes. The office staff was very prompt and professional. Kip the technician was not only able to resolve the problem but truly cared about my mother and made sure she was safe without leaving her in extreme heat and potentially life threatening conditions. I know the system is over 12 years old and the systems condition requires replacement but I can assure you when I spend that money come tax season, I will only do business with Air Care for the simple fact my family was treated with more concern than another potential sale while truly caring for my inner circle in a desperate time of need. No amount of money can buy true compassion and genuine professionalism. God Bless.
With the cold streak we experienced here in central Florida over the last couple of months, I realized that we had no HEAT. Initially, I thought who needs heat in Florida, but some nights got really cold so I reached out to Air Care of Central Florida for an assessment and/or quote as the unit was original to the house we purchased two years ago. They were very responsive. Within a day, they came out, assessed my current unit and provided quotes on several systems. My unit was beyond repair. Their sales tech, was very knowledgeable and spent time reviewing all the options which were extremely reasonable especially considering the cost of everything now a days. He also provided education on each system so that I could make a good decision for my home and family. Once I made a decision to move forward, they booked the appointment and were here within a week for the installation. The installer was very professional. The unit and new digital thermostat were both installed same day. I can even control it via my cell phone which is very convenient. He answered all of my questions and made sure to gather up all of the packaging and the old unit for disposal away from my property. I spoke with a senior tech after the installation just to let him know how impressed I was with their service and quality of the equipment I received. I would highly recommend Air Care of Central Florida to anyone looking for HVAC service or equipment. Thanks guys for everything!!
I highly recommend this company. We have them do a bi-annual service on the system in our house. Hugh, found a capacitor that was just about to die and quickly replaced it. They always clean out the drain line, wash out the pan, wash out the outside unit and check all the pressures as well as electrical connections. Top notch service and very easy to deal with.
I've used Air Care for a few of my properties, from maintenance, to full system replacements. They are always on time, do quality work, and price the job out fairly. I've recommended them to several of my own customers, who have nothing but good things to say as well. As a business owner myself, I know that you can't please everyone, but Air Care certainly tries their best. I wouldn't hesitate to use their service in the future.. Thank you Frank, Hugh, Kip, and the rest of the crew.
Great company. Out of several quotes they were the quickest on turnaround for an install and had great customer service. Hugh came out within a few hours of initial call for a quote - was very professional - and had a crew promptly out here for an install for my upstairs unit. Love the quality of the crew and the new product. will absolutely call them back when it is time to replace my downstairs unit!! Thanks!
Very professional, respected my time and kept me updated on the shipping of a new compressor that was needed. From first contact with Shirley through diagnosis and then the eventual compressor replacement by Dario, this company was professional and went out of their way to help get the system repaired as soon as possible. Highly recommend.
Awesome...... hard to find these days....... The A/C in one of the rental units I manage went down, on a super hot, muggy evening of course. The tenants called me at 2:30 pm to let me know that it was hot in the unit and they didn't think the A/C was working. I started making calls. 2 different companies came out and related that the unit was old (12 years) and that it was just "shot" (first company) and the "compressor" had locked up (second company) $5900 and $6700 respectively for a new a/c system. We have to get 3 quotes so I called Air Care. The tech showed up at 7:45 pm, ran some tests and told me it was just the transformer that sent power to everything. $189.00 .....A/C back on, tenants cool and happy! I still have to get 3 quotes, but will use Air Care from now on......Honesty and Professionalism go a long way!!
Great service, great workers, and great prices. These guys have amazing customer service and get the job done correctly, quickly, and efficiently. They truly out the customer first. I have hired them for many AC jobs for many houses and they always exceed my expectations. Professionalism at its best!
