We’ve been customers of Mercury Energy for many years. Even with company changes, we are always satisfied with their call center personal, oil delivery and services of our furnace.

Very unhappy with Mercury Fuel since it's recent purchase by a larger company. They no longer have the friendly, helpful atmosphere, or experienced staff. I understand the desire of their new owner to save money and hire out of office call center staff but - it is going to loose them business.

Customer service is - customer service and what is currently in place is substandard and explains their recent errors, end of year when I fulfilled my contract.

I called today to speak with the same friendly person I have spoken to for years (and also hoped to discuss recent year end events of Mercury) and was told "she is probably working but probably on the phone" (that indicated she is not working at the same location but a call center - which she confirmed). She was pushy, rude and asked far too many questions - when I was the one calling with a question that had nothing to do with my phone number, home address - or marital status.

I have remained loyal to Mercury Fuel Service for 20 years, they were there to help one Christmas many years ago when my furnace went out and I was just home from the hospital. I stayed with them despite seeing lower prices elsewhere due to their exceptional customer service. No longer.

I was worried what would happen to customer service when they became HOP. No reason to be, they still treat me well. Everyone is always nice. I've spoken with Marie twice now, and she's a pleasure to work with. I might even start trying to ask for her specifically

Mercury Energy 43 Lafayette ST Waterbury USED TO BE a great company, cared about customers. Now bought out by Hopp Energy they are aholes. The new company is not customer friendly and only has one goal, to make as much money as possible, threatening their customers telling them they need to make repairs that are not needed. I'm a 15 year customer of this company and I'm done. There are a million other oil companies out there that will gladly take my money and treat me better. So long losers.

What happened to this company? I'm told by some new tech I've never seen before, and I've been a customer almost 20 years, that the new company is very strict and now I need to replace an oil tank and lines? Billing is all screwed up. They keep calling to ask if I'm going to pay my bill? I'm on auto pay for years now they just take it out of my checking account and I've told them TWICE now. The old customer service I was used to is now GONE! Time to look for a new oil company. I don't need this BS.
