I was a little confused about my budget contract and was upset over my bill because I thought it was more than it should have been. I then spoke with Brenda in the customer loyalty department. She immediately de-escalated a bad situation and handled herself in a calm and professional manner. I was ready to cancel my accounts with Mercury, but after a few minutes speaking with her I was satisfied with her responses and with the solution she proposed. I have been a good customer for many years and it's nice to know there are still people out there that care about customer service. Thank you Brenda.
I worked with Chris this morning. She was helpful and knowledgeable and quickly resolved my issue. I felt that Chris was my advocate finding the best options for me and my heating needs.
Raquel was courteous and professional. She quickly determined my need and scheduled a technician to come to my home as soon as possible. She then went over my account billing at my request and helped me to understand the process. Raquel is a knowledgeable and pleasant person to work with. I phoned late this afternoon to make a payment for oil delivered last week; I was pleased to be able to take advantage of their 2% discount for prompt payment. What made this process especially pleasant was dealing with Jessica who was not only friendly and efficient, but also funny and so very nice. For me, dealing with an excellent Customer Service representative who makes you feel that your business is appreciated is absolutely essential; Jessica is a real gem and a true credit to HOP Energy.
The person who answered the phone was pleasant and courteous. Moreover, Raquel was able to gain immediate repair service to my home. The work will be completed today. Raquel was very concerned about the problem, and she was extremely helpful.
This company will stop coming even though you’re setup for automatic delivery, when you run out of oil (because they just stopped coming) and ask them to come make an emergency fill up they told us they couldn’t come out for two days. Then when you remind them that you have no oil and it’s supposed to be in the low teens the next few days they then say “well I guess we can come out tomorrow”. Then they charge you an astronomical fee and won’t work with you on a payment plan.
Worst oil company. Horrible customer service. Just stay away.

Specifically, today Richard Johnson Jr took a great deal of time to help us with some billing and delivery plan questions. He also was very knowledgeable, kind, courteous, and professional. Mr. Johnson is another reason for us to continue with Mercury Fuel.

We used them for approx. 6 years and set up special payments due to the fact that we have both forced hot air and oil. I now get calls monthly and pushing to set up an auto fill and payment plan which does not work for us. If your looking for that hometown mom and pop feel your no longer getting it here.
