We had been looking for an attic fan for some time. The problem was that the attic fans my wife and I grew up with were huge (48 inches square) and sounded like a freight train in the hallway. When we saw this technology update at a home show we knew that this was the way to go. It’s smaller so the panel fits between joists and the fan is up away from the ceiling which makes it way quieter.

Their guy at the home show helped us size the unit so it turns the air over in the house quickly without causing other problems. Now when we come home in the evening we can draw the cool air in and make the house livable in surprisingly short order. Blasting the hot air out of the attic can drop the master bedroom temperature up to twenty degrees and allows our window air conditioner to keep up. The nice thing is that we don’t need the AC as much.

For years we had a box fan in the guest bedroom window and it worked “all right”. This moves more air. It’s quieter. I’m not always adjusting windows to account for wind and I’m not being baked from all of the heat buildup in my attic.

Did I mention that it’s quiet. I don’t hear it unless I specifically listen for it. We let it run for several hours past bedtime and it is so much quieter than the Window AC. We love it.

Eco Air was professional, on time and completed the work in a timely manner. The installation of the grate in the ceiling is well done and looks like it belongs there.
