Urso Air Systems

I've used Urso twice, both times in the middle of record heat waves. Not only did they resolve my problem, their customer service was fantastic, polite, friendly, and informative. I highly recommend Urso for your A/C and heating issues.

8/27/2022. We live in the Gardens. Our air conditioner started leaking water inside the cabinet a few days ago. About a cup of water my husband got using his shop vac. I started searching here on nextdoor because I remembered reading several posts where people where looking for a good..honestly air conditioning company to come out and give us an estimate...I decided to call URSO AIR. So many 5 star reviews for this local company right off Gaffey. I don't remember the young ladies name that I spoke to but she was so helpful. I explained what was happening. She totally understood what the problem probably was because it is a common issue with air conditioners here in the gardens. I've seen their truck several times throughout the Gardens too. She offered a better deal suggesting us to buy a preventive maintenance package for $139.95. It covers them blowing out the line inside, checking our outside air conditioner...freon..took cover off and cleaned the coils and debris...he brought in this huge canister, hooked it up to the line that takes the condensation from the inside unit to the outside pipe. When he hooked it up it blew all kinds of stuff out. He did it several time until nothing but air was coming out. The technicians name was Sergio.
I asked a lot of questions and he was very clear with his answers. He is a skilled tradesman in his profession. We are thinking of replacing our whole heating and air conditioner unit later on down the line. It's working perfectly now...I just would like to replace it with a quiet one..it's so noisy compared to newer models. So if I could give URSO AIR 10 star review I would. Very impressed.

I posted a recommendation of an Air Condition company a few day's ago named URSO located on Gaffey st in San Pedro. It was a long post. However I just felt I needed to share an additional information for this local neighborhood business who is honest, employee's skilled craftsmen.
After they fixed our air conditioner our dear elderly neighbor's air conditioner stopped working yesterday. She has a caregiver 24 hours and visits from hospice care nurses. The caregiver was miserable with the heat upstairs. She didn't complain but after visiting and saw how much physical work it takes to care for all of our neighbors needs. The caregiver called us asking for the name of the company that fixed ours. My husband went down to check the filter but it didn't need replacing...the air conditioner just stopped.
I called URSO this morning and spoke with Barbara told her to be expecting if she has already from a lady who is overseeing her financial needs. Barbara said it just broke her heart to here someone in that stage of life suffering and on top dealing with this heat which is going to be much worse in the days to come. She said she was going to contact her guy who was in Norwalk to get back here ASAP and that she was going to rearrange some appointments to get this looked at today. She did get an authorization from the estate lady earlier that morning...she had the repair man there a little over an hour later. Same technician that fixed our, SERGIO. I went down to her townhouse and waited because the caregiver has almost constant care for her. SERGIO checked everything and found the issue was a coil ...a transistor...compresser...I don't remember what the part was called but he called someone and was able to go get it and was back within 15 minutes...bam!! Fixed it. Freon level was fine. Now...I don't know about you but it is such a rare occurrence for a company to go out of their way to give a customer this kind of attention to the special needs of my neighbor. They demonstrated that they are the real deal. Not a business that is looking to make a profit by taking advantage of desperate customers. Integrity, honest, caring, skilled...they are a company leading by example!

I've dealt with quite a few vendors in the past year and none of them were as thorough and responsive as Urso Air. Very happy with our AC installation. Would strongly recommend using these guys.

Urso showed up exactly as promised. 8:30 am. They were neat, clean and the installation looks great. All four of the crew were professional and friendly. I felt like I made a great choice. They also gave the best bid on the Mitsubishi split air conditioner for two rooms.

Our AC system went out and we first called another company that charged us a lot of money and did not fix it. A friend recommended Urso Air, so we gave them a call. They came out, checked our system and repaired it correctly. They were very professional and I highly recommend this company. It is so hard to find an honest company these days that takes pride in their work.

I would like to thank URSO Air Systems for the great job they did taking care of my A/C service, Barbara took my call she was very nice and helpful. Micheal did a preventative maintenance and changed a thermostat on my A/C, he did a great job. I'm a retired Pedro Firefighter and it was nice knowing I was using a local family owned business. I would Recommend them to my family & friends.

Good comments: They were the lowest of three bids and had friendly installers. Bad comments: After an AC installation the system did not operate right. It put out 72* air when it was only 85* outside, dropping only 10* across the coils. Initially, they would not answer my calls so I had to physically walk into their shop. They came out two times in an attempt to isolate the problem but could not fix it. Then they lied and said they warned me that my requested setup would not work. Well, none of the three bidding contractors claimed my setup would not work, nor have other contractors since. My recommendation: If the job is simple, Urso Air might save you some money. However, if the job requires skilled troubleshooters, go elsewhere.

We recently had URSO install a Mitsubishi ductless air conditioning system for our 2nd floor master bedroom. Sam came out first, inspected our property, discussed options, laid out the installation plan, did a great job of routing electrical and water connections so as to minimize external visible elements. He gave us a fair and reasonable bid. We said yes, he scheduled the installation appointment for within 4 days. Brian and Gus showed up on time, got to work and completed everything to our complete satisfaction the same day. Now we're just waiting for the kind of hot summer we had last year so we can use it. In the meantime, we are just very impressed with URSO's courtesy, professionalism, and the quality of their installation. We'd recommend them in a heartbeat.
