The lady I booked with on the phone was super knowledgeable and sweet. Joel and Trevor came out on time and did the job. They came back the next two days to finish and run diagnostics. Worked independently and around my schedule and fit me in due to my immediate needs.
Putting them in the “roladex”! Thanks for setting up members up for a cool summer.

Our heroes at Champion have saved the day again. Our AC stopped working at the worst time of the year, but Joel came out on a Saturday and fixed it. And, to top it off he went out of his way to make sure parts and labor were covered by the warranty. Champion is the best!

BEST of the BEST!!! I can't say enough about Joel and his crew at Champion! Fair price, no surprises and they tackled a difficult job and made it look easy. Joel fabricated ducting on my driveway that fit like a glove and his knowledge along with a great and talented crew put us at ease during the project knowing they were going to get the job done and make it look great! Doesn't hurt that the crew were all polite, professional and great guys! My go to on all things air and heating!!

Rated 2 stars due to the professionalism of the service tech that came out, as well as his responsiveness and diagnostic capabilities. As we did not use this contractor, I cannot comment on the quality of work.

Our furnace went out, and they came out the very next day to diagnose, and were very quick with the diagnosis. The problem was isolated to a furnace control board.

Regarding the initial quote, the numbers came in at over $2k to replace the board. Fortunately, the unit was under warranty, so it was reduced to a labor cost of $600.

My problem is not with the labor charge - as I understand that is a specialized field - but I was taken aback by the supposed cost of the part. At an online parts store, the control board itself retails for $130. As labor is fixed whether it is replaced under warranty or not, that leaves a part markup of over 1000%? Just to get a reference, I called competitor, and the price was $1k. Moral of the story here is make sure you get at least a few quotes to gain some perspective. I hope they can correct this in the future.

In early January of 2020 our heating system failed and we had to evaluate the purchase of a new unit. Our unit is installed in our attic area, after looking at it with the assistance of the Champion team (Thomas and Joel) we determined that a new unit could not be installed in the attic without cutting roof joists which would compromise the roof. We called in a structural engineer and he confirmed that we could not replace the unit in the attic area without a substantial cost of removing joists and then reinforcing the joists after the work was done. As a result, Thomas & team worked with us to relocate the new system into a space in the hallway just below the attic. This process took at least 10 trips to the house with drawings and discussions on how to properly build out a new area where there was an existing linen closet. This project took weeks, the team from Champion Air visited on a regular basis to make sure that the space we were modifying would fit the unit and work well with the existing ducting in the home. The project took patience and construction combining two closet areas to fit the unit. The result has been nothing short of outstanding, Thomas and Joel (the owner of the business) did an excellent job assisting in every step. The install of both the new heating system and AC Compressor took a full week, however this team could not have been more professional and customer centric in their approach. I am a Real Estate agent, I work with vendors everyday and Champion Air Conditioning & Heating are simply the best in the business. They were fair price wise and always exceeded our expectations with a tough long installation project. I recommend their their expert care not only in my home but also in all of the homes that I sell. Thank you Thomas and team! We could not be happier with the results!

I've been a customer of Champion for the past couple of years for mostly annual maintenance and to fix some minor problems. Recently I had my gas furnace on the blink and I called them up again. Shane did some troubleshooting and corrected the problem but noted that was likely to fain again. After he left and spoke to the owner they recommended I get a new one. I was very concerned about having to shell out thousands of dollars but Shane was able install a mid-level furnace at a very reasonable price (and were able to do it the following morning). The work Shane and his co-worker (Thomas) did was outstanding. I will not look any further for any future HVAC issues. Champion has a loyal customer. THANKS SO MUCH SHANE and CHAMPION!!!!

Shane and James were great! We had a leaky evaporator coil on our air conditioner, causing damage to the heater and fan underneath and the carpet. They gave us a great quote to replace the heating/fan/evaporator coil unit, and completed the job within a few hours. They were very friendly and courteous. I would definitely call them again.

This company rocks! A/C went out in my home and, not knowing who to contact, I just started contacting local companies in San Marcos. Joel at Champion fielded my call and was very responsive. He set an appointment for one of his technicians, Shane, to come out and diagnose the problem SAME DAY! Shane was right on time ( even called first) and had the problem diagnosed and fixed within half an hour! Shane has exemplary customer service skills and even took a few extra minutes to discuss how I could extend the life of my existing A/C unit, in addition to providing me with important information on how to select the proper type of new A/C unit once my old unit eventually bites the dust. Price of repair was more than fair and everything went like clockwork. What more could a customer want? Great over all experience...Thank you for making me cool again!

We always had some drips from AC drain. Lately, we noticed our AC has a lot more condensation than usual. It formed puddle on our backyard, which was not normal.

The quoting process was simple and punctual. They had some small fee to inspect the unit on-site which was deductible for the actual repair.

We were very impressed with Shane and his crews. They are very good with follow-up and punctual. In addition, they adhered to strict COVID restriction by wearing face masks. They also wore booties inside the house which was great for our light colored carpet.

They suspected the cause was from evaporator leaks. This caused drips, which is not normal if everything worked correctly. They also found molds in our drain pipe. We didn't get charged for inspection as we were agreed to replace the evaporator. They also replaced the moldy piping as well.

When the day came for performing the work, they found additional problem with our drain in bathroom sinks. This also compounded the problem. They fixed it without additional charge.

Overall, we are very happy. The cost is very reasonable and definitely impressed with awesome job by the crews!

I have been having Curtis come out every year to service my A/C. It's has been a great experience from calling on the phone for scheduling the appointment to getting service. If you have to leave a message, they will return your call. I have had other companies never call me back or forget that I called. Champion does not ignore you and treats me with respect. I appreciate it. Curtis is straightforward and explained everything to me about my system. He even showed me how to clean the outdoor unit to make it last longer. No frills or fancy sales pitches. It's a family run business. They get the job done and done right. Originally, I had used another local company but they made a small mistake and made me wait with no heating and cooling a few days as they were too busy to have anyone come out. I called champion and they came out the same day I called and reset the unit. I was thoroughly impressed. They are professionals. I highly recommend them.
