I give Econo Air 4 stars because my wife and I are very happy with the installation of our new water heater. Ryan, who actually came out to do an inspection of our HVAC unit when we discovered a leak at the base of the water heater. He has been great and a pleasure to work with as we've had him out before. Sal came out and gave us a fair price for the work, and the work was scheduled.
The work was done, and things were brought up to code. It looks beautiful inside the cabinet housing both units.
What prevented us from giving them a 5-star? We found some residue, from cleaning their tools, in the tub we give our infant son a bath in. We feel that could've been disposed of elsewhere and the care in which the installation was done should extend to the clean-up.

Ryan, The technician showed up a little early. Discussed what the process was to do a service on our air conditioning and checked our heating system. Ryan was professional and efficient. He brought us out to show us a part was deteriorating and should be replaced. We were happy that he showed us and gave us good information to make a good choice. We will use his services again.

Great service. Very professional and Mike knows what he's talking about. They are very punctual and installed new furnace, AC, ducting and solar panels within two days. Overall saved us a lot of headache.

The best! Always easily available when scheduling the appointment. Always on time and swift at doing the job. I am not forced to do work if I cannot currently pay for it; I don't like credit cards. We have been customers for at least 25 years.

We appreciate Israel's work for us. Because of what appears to be a complex issue, Israel will now be returning to replace a major part. Before he comes out again we do have some questions for him. I have called and asked that your office please have Israel get in touch with us before he proceeds. We believe that he may not have all of the pertinent information he might need to take the next steps. Would you please have him call us so that we can provide him with that additional information?
Thank you, Jim and Fran

Econo Air responded quickly. They sent one of the nicest repairman by the name of Andrew and he had my A/C up and running in a couple of hours on one of the hottest days. I am a senior and deeply appreciate how I was treated by Andrew and Econo Air.

We worked with them through Costco. They were very helpful in explaining the options to us and helping us retrofit our home with zoning. Rooms that were previously cold/hot now get heat & AC. Everyone is happy with their ability to control their room. It worked out great for my 83 year old mother when she visits and wants it warmer than the rest of us. Plus, the solar benefits and ability to get federal and city tax credits made this practically a no brainer. When we have had minor issues they have been quick to come out and correct.

I did appreciate the next-day service on getting my AC working.
I am not happy paying almost $500.00 for a $50.00 capacitor. That's around an 800% markup. I've never heard of that amount of markup for a part. Ebay lists the AmRad Turbo 200X capacitor for between $30.00 and $59.00. The exact same part that I was charged $488.00 for. And you billed me TWICE (credit card AND 2 days later, debit account).
I understand making a profit, but this seems a bit extreme. I was informed that the service charge was included, but I paid a "Diagnostic" fee above that.
Mike, if you see this, you may remember some of the problems we have had since April 1995.
We still have dust bypassing the Honeywell HEPA filtration system your company put in after the previous system collapsed under the heater.
A 3" exhaust vent prevented us being able to use the heater for almost 10 years (fumes, exhaust smells, Gas Co. tagged it). Then you guys changed it to a 4" when you had to exchange my Comfortmaker heat exchanger (under warranty) for a 'new' Carrier unit that was "just sitting in the warehouse" (gave me the manual for a Lennox). You said you could not get parts for the Comfortmaker, so I had to spend $840.00 for the Carrier unit.
There are other issues I won't mention here, but I now have been given a "Preferred Customer Maintenance Program" (Daniel), no charge, that I'm sure will be a "sell-up" if you come back.
Really not happy about the condenser price markup, but I guess the free Maintenance Program (valued at $149.00 for a year) is a form of compensation.

Top quality organization. I have dealt with sales personnel, maintenance, installers and various support team members and I found two things. 1st this is the company you want doing your job - they take the time and effort to really evaluate your requirements - I have used them 3 times on my original HVAC w/solar replacement, my solar upgrade and to replace the HVAC on my rental house. While I might have been able to get the jobs done cheaper knowing the jobs were done right was well worth the peace of mind.
2nd Everyone I dealt with is happy about their job and their workmanship shows.

Outstanding results.
