We have an annual maintenance contract with Econo-Air to maintain our Heater and Air Conditioner. They can schedule our service appointments around out schedules, and the technicians are always professional. They explain what they are doing, in terms I can understand, and have maintained our units, so we have perfect climate control in our house all year long! Important for comfort, and controlling my allergies! I would, and have, recommended Econo-Air to friends and neighbors.
Thank you for your excellent service and professionalism. We are so grateful for everything. You and your staff were such a blessing to our family. We cannot thank you enough.
Ever since Econo Air installed a new A/C unit on my house last year in October, I received numerous letter from city for an inspection early this year. So I called Econo Air and talked to Matt, operation manager. I guessed they did not perform HERS test after installation. A guy from Econo Air came out and conducted the HERS test and I was informed that Econo Air will take care of the inspection in prompt manner.
About six months later, I got a letter from city, stating that the inspection is not complete. I personally took time off from my work and scheduled an inspection from city. When the inspector came out to my house, the inspection can not be completed because I do not have the HERS test report which was never given to me from Econo Air. I contacted the Econo Air again and spoke to Matt again. Matt ensured me that he will personally submit the paperwork to city on the same day and give me a confirmation call. A week passed and I called the city to confirm if the inspection is finally completed. Nothing has not been done so far.
I strongly urge the consumer to avoid Econo Air if possible!!
I was a happy with the gentleman that serviced my AC however. When he told me I needed a new filter, I said OK. thinking it was the most $100. When he tried charging me $345 I was beside myself. I immediately looked the exact identical filter on AMAZON . I showed him that a pack of 2 where for $200 and I declined that filter. I am saddened that a company would charge their customers 3 times the price of a filter. I am scared to have my AC or heater service due to over charging.
I called Econo Air because my furnace was intermittently blowing cold air while on heat. The service tech disassembled parts wires but never used a multimeter to check anything at all. He then left for over an hour to purchase parts at the local hardware store. After returning he stated that a new gas valve would be no less than $1,000 and there might be other problems with the unit. He said that it would be unwise to invest my money into my furnace what I really needed was to buy a new unit. Over three hours later the tech's "manager" showed up. He then showed me pictures of four units they carry. I felt that this company I had been loyal to for over thirteen years wouldn’t rip me off. I was then persuaded to purchase a new furnace for $6,350 believing my old furnace wasn’t worth repairing. After they left I opened the furnace cover to discover that some of the components were still took apart and none of the wires were connected. How convenient, I wasn’t even able to check if the heat would turn on. Two days later I had another company come out to give me second opinion. The second company hooked the wires back up, screwed components back in, turned it on, and voilà it worked. The second service man told me I didn’t need a new furnace and I was getting taken advantage of. I should get ten or more years out of the one I already have. I looked Online and Econo Air was selling me a unit for 3X the normal asking price installed. I was sent an invoice that has nothing filled out, no model, or serial number. If any of the normal maintenance checks were done why weren’t any of the boxes checked off? There is nothing on the service order telling me why I supposedly needed a new furnace in the first place. My gas valve was tested and is in normal working conditions and a new one only costs around $120 Online. Econo Air you should be ashamed for taking advantage of this disabled senior citizen on a fixed income. I’m wondering if legal action should be brought against this company? Luckily my family and I didn’t get sick from the cold weather. I will never do business with them ever again.
Recently the logic board from the HVAC system that Econo Air installed was a problem and I called them to get a price quote on the part. I received a scripted answering service and they refused to give me a quote over the phone. They said they needed to send out their repair person to diagnose the problem even though I already had the problem diagnosed. I went round and round with the scripted service "sales" person and attempted to escalate it to a manager. The manager refused to take the call and the scripted service attendant said they would return the call within 24 hours. The call was not returned. I will not do future business with this company and I suggest you take our business elsewhere. Their "policy" is not competitive and is all about lining their pockets of unsuspecting customers. Buyer beware. There are many competitors who would be willing to give great customer service. Five star reviews from other reviewers is suspect. This company has demonstrated nothing near five star service.
I needed some batteries changed in my thermostats of which I have four. The company refused to tell me how to do it myself. I had to pay $99 to have a technician come out and change for AA batteries in the thermostats. It turned out I could’ve easily done this myself with proper instruction.

Jerard repaired the a.c. fuse box, cleaned the unit and gave recommendations for maintenance service. 5 stars for speed, quality and professionalism.
