I was able to get a same day appt. Technician was on time and after examining our heater he gave a diagnosis. We opted to pay the diagnostic fee only and replace the circuit board on our own for $100 instead of the $800 they would charge. After replacing the board we were still having issues. I called back and asked for a technician to call or come back out. I was assured I'd at least be called back. No one called. After some trial and error, we discovered that the technician had turned off the gas line and we got it working on our own.
Crew showed up as scheduled at 7am. 13 hours later my home has new a/c heater. Financing available. Mike, the owner is very professional and knowledgeable. (Quite the salesman as well) The crew was very professional and friendly. If you are upgrading your systems I Highly Recommend Econo Air!
I have been a Econo Air since 1998. Purchased one air conditioner unit and 2 furnaces. Over the years I have them servicing my air conditioner and furnace every six months but found out they are just nickel and dining me examples: When I purchase the furnace I came with special filter at that point was told needed to changed it every 5 years. Every year after they ask me to change the filter at every year cost of replacing $200 when you can buy the filter for $55. Another example you need to change your fuses cost $80 you can buy them for $4 Every time they find something like they are trying to cross sell me for everything. In the past tech did like they were doing something last time he just connected his equipment for 10 minutes told me everything was ok and left. He also showed me the filter on place since December 2017 perfectly clean did not have to changed it.
Impressed (not now 8 months later) right from the start, having chosen Econo to replace my system. As a preferred installer of Lennox "signature" line of HVAC packages, I guess half of the chore of choosing a good installer was already done. And also Costco's installer. As for the installation, a competent team, each who knew their task well, besides be courteous, respectful, and careful of my home and furnishings. Nothing soiling, nothing damaged. In fact, I paid them in full even before all the inspections have been completed. What does that tell you?
The above was my review after completion 1-1-19, but little did I know that these guys decided not to permit the solar panels that came with my hybrid air conditioning system and didn't tell me about it. I only realized this after about two months and receiving bills that didn't reflect any savings from the solar panels. So, having informed them, caught this, they now, for about six months, have led me thru their "round-a-bout" remedies of contacting the city with inadequate plans that so far, two different plan submissions, didn't pass. I am not told a different set of issues as to why the third attemt is not working and taking time. Yes, patient but thought I would not have to do this with a Costco contractor.
We couldn't be more pleased with the installation of our new HVAC system. They were referred to us by Costco. We got a fair price and a Costco gift card. Our tenants got a quite, efficient furnace and air conditioner. It was not cheap but you get what you pay for.
20+ years and treated like garbage over a refund. This all started July 2017 when a 7 year old compressor failed and we put in a new one July 2017. Worked fine until April 2018 heat wave. Called and got them out May 2018 and they found no freon was problem and charged it with new freon and leak detector dye for $800 and tightened a few fittings. We were told at that time if leak fault of install we'd me refunded the $800. Came out June and no leak could be found. Flash forward to September for semi-annual system check and filter change...huge leak found at the compressor and a week later repaired and system recharged. 9/24 called and asked about refund. Told I could have refund or service visits. Told them I'd take a check as we plan on moving before we'd use up all the service visits. I was told check would be in the mail monday. Waited 10 days and no check. Called and told they would resend a new check. It never arrived. Called again and finally 4 weeks into the process learned accounting never sent a check and no one can get them to answer when and why. Really a crappy way to treat a customer. If I could give zero stars I would. Time to find an honest and reliable HVAC vendor. UPDATE 10/22 - after numerous calls over 4 weeks refund was processed and posted to credit card.
I recently had Econo Air to my home. The technician was very pleasant and went through my system thoroughly. He gave me some recommendations to lower my energy bill and also showed me some green products. my heater works great and now I have a new product I cant wait to try out in the summer months.
I called Econo air for the maintenance service of an existing air conditioning unit via COSTCO offer of $69.99. The low maintenance offer is merely a form of bait to sell you additional services such as a new compressor, a new fan motor or even a new air conditioning system. The quotes received for various services are quite high in order of 3 to 5 times compared with other air conditioning companies.
I am disappointed with COSTCO partnering with such businesses.
Econo Air representative came out, checked my furnace, charged me $99 only to tell me that my heating system was failing. It’s working just fine! Tried to sell me on a new furnace. If and when I purchase a new furnace, it wont be with Econo Air. I’ve been a customer for almost 20 years and I feel I’ve been ripped off!!!! 😤😤
Not a good experience. I was advised that a repair on furnace (igniter motor) was going to cost approx $1100.00. Reportedly the motor was going bad because it had to much "play" in the shaft. While on site, the rep and I reviewed replacement part on line. Cost to purchase replacement motor was $68.00. Further discussion with management lowered the price to $900.00. So, I order the part and installed it myself in 30 minutes. Replacement involved seven sheet mental screws and some gasket material. (Note: Based on observation, the replacement motor seemed to have the same "play" as the old motor). During the same visit, I was also advised that my air conditioner needed work. I obtained a 2nd opinion and service on my air conditioning and they reported the system was operating fine.
