West Coast Heating, Air Conditioning and Solar

I used West Coast to install central air conditioning, replace the nearly 40 year old furnace, replace the duct work, install new vents and a new thermostat. I couldn't be happier!! I had three companies come out to do estimates and decided on West Coast. My sales rep was professional, patient, and knowledge. He laid out all options but I didn't feel pressured. They got the project done in one day as promised and the work crew was outstanding and minimally disruptive to my day. The lead guy went over everything before, during, and after. They were respectful of my home and cleaned everything up when done. Everyone has contractor stories that are nightmares and this was nothing even close to that. It cost what they said it would, were on time, professional, and responsive. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them or use them again. You won't regret contracting with West Coast!!

Our AirCon died during a 90 degree heat wave. West Coast sent out a rep to quote us within 2 days of calling. Alik was very professional and gave is all the info we asked for to compare units, with no hard sell at all. We did some further research and then called back same day to book service. They were able to start work 4 days later. The team that showed up were prompt, very respectful of our home and space (they thoroughly cleaned up after their work), very communicative during the process and worked very efficiently. They were completely done in two days. This was a dual Aircon/ furnace and total duct replacement job. We could not be happier with the work and everyone we interacted with from West coast. Nicholas was the job foreman and he was great. Highly recommend them.

He provided us the initial quote with a few options so I could explore different packages. He provided us a full HVAC education and we are very grateful for that! The entire team at West coast have made this experience super painless. They are friendly, knowledgeable, and experienced. I was able to get an appointment for a quote on same day, and begin the work in the same week.

We had our first maintenance service today, and everything from the scheduling to communication upon arrival all the way through the actual service was thorough and extremely professional. Excited to have found a reputable HVAC company in San Diego that we can trust and actually cares about their customers. Professional is the best way to describe West Coast. Everyone - Sales (Rocky!), and team (Alex with crew!) went beyond expectations. My AC system (2 mini splits) is fantastic; a dream come true. I had a couple of other estimates and am glad that I did since I can see how superior West Coast is. Thank you to everyone at West Coast! (one of your many) truly satisfied customers.

I received several estimates for a replacement of a 12 year old 24 BTU heat pump that ranged from $5500 to $8100. Then Alex came from West Coast, took 45 minutes to thoughtfully give us a quote for $6100 minus a $3000 energy credit (total price to me $3100). It seems all the other installers were going to keep the $3000 credit for themselves! So I give 5 stars to West Coast for honesty and value. Then the installation was done very professionally and on time. All in all, the best experience I could have imagined!

In 2019 after much research we contracted West Coast to replace our existing HVAC system, which included moving furnace system into my attic from a second floor closet and installing solar system consisting of 22 panels. We were very happy with the entire process and the value. The workers were always on time, and very respectful of our property. Happy to the point that we referred them to several friends and family. Fast forward to 2022, system still working flawlessly and we are very happy we went with West Coast. A situation has arisen now, not related to our system which I needed help with. Our doorbell has stopped working due to a failing transformer. Now the hunt is on for the transformer location somewhere in my two story house. I have searched hi and low to no avail. In a last ditch effort I contacted West Coast to see if it was possible they had moved it also into the attic. Though they responded that this is not something they would do they provided photos from before the install that showed the transformer in that closet. We are now assuming that the transformer may have been closed into the wall by workers that followed up after West Coast was finished. The fact that West Coast did the research and found this old photo for me, just shows how they go above and beyond on their customer service. I will continue to recommend them to my friends.

I rarely ever leave reviews but the team led by foreman D. (Initial for his privacy) was incredibly professional, clean, knowledgeable and efficient. They went above and beyond in installing our new ducts, AC and heat pump. The office staff isn’t the most friendly but they’re efficient and communicative and the team that installed more than made up for it. I can’t recommend this company enough.

Wonderful experience and out of 3 quotes they were the lowest and included more in the package.

Rocky, who came to give my quote was great...He was professional, friendly. He communicated with me whenever I had any questions and would answer me within the same day.

I made an appointment with West Coast Heating to fix my heater which wasn’t working. After scheduling me two weeks out due to no availability, and confirming the appointment the previous business day, they call me the morning of to reschedule due to a “mishap” with no further explanation or care for my inconvenience.

Technician showed up on time to the new appointment later that day and was very nice (which is the only reason for two stars instead of one), he changed the filter, cleaned some sensor, and ran the test function on the furnace which seemed to work okay.

Furnace still doesn’t respond to a drop in temperature or heat my home properly. So far this service was a waste of $130 and and the better part of a day of my time. I’m trying to get them to come back out and help fix the issue in a timely fashion.
