We vetted a total of four contractors and ACS provided the most comprehensive and informative bid. Their staff was incredibly efficient and completely transparent about the project. I would happily recommend this company to anyone who asks.
We had used them in the past and had been relatively happy; however, we have a rental that the tenant complained that the furnace was "laboring". They charged us $89 to do a diagnostic, told me "it was ugly" and proceeded to send me a cost estimate that ranged from $1800-2100; said I need blower motor, inducer motor and blower wheel, plus another $130 for tuneup/maintenance. Spoke with two other companies that indicated doubtful I needed an inducer assembly; a $570 part. Finally got it fixed by another company; blower motor, blower wheel and tuneup for less than $900. Asked for my $89 back from ACS since they had diagnosed things I did not need, and they told me it was non-refundable. So basically they tried to sell me big ticket items I did not need, inflated the prices of what I did need to the tune of 50% more than what I ultimately paid for OEM parts. Certainly cannot recommend them to anyone with a clear conscience
We had an air conditioner installed by ACS and have had smelly mold problems since installation. They have not been able to resolve the issue and try and upsell new UV equipment. Apparently they vented the unit through the scupper in a way that it backed up with rain water the first monsoon season and have never been able to fix due to the specifics of the install. Venting thru the scupper is common just not how they did it where it backups after the first hard rain. The unit is still under warranty so we have them out each year that we turn in the AC but never a permanent remedy. Summer is back and so is the smell. We are so disappointed after an investment that we thought would be lasting. Instead nothing but frustration.
We had a new AC installed 2.5 yrs ago and it stopped running last week. We'd purchased a protection plan. However, it didn't cover the fuse that needed replacing, at a cost of $133
Manny did a thorough job of explaining the maintenance and also future maintenance of our unit. Very professional, courteous, and knowledgeable about the air conditioning services.
Semi-annual service today with technician Jake. As promised, prompt arrival at 8:00 AM. During service Jake took the time to show us pictures of the inside workings of our system and that all was in working order. The service contract we've had over these 2 years has been excellent and will continue to use ACS in the future.
Don't do it. I have a newer AC unit (2006) that started having trouble in 2012. I used ACS for 4 repairs since then (apparently didn't learn my lesson). First repair: replaced failed compressor for $1,930. Second repair: replaced reversing valve for $1,033. Third repair: replaced TXV and start capacitor & relay for $489. And now the fourth repair in TWO YEARS they are charging me over $750 to replace a condenser fan motor= $4200 could have pretty much given us a new unit had we known. Don't go down this road w/ ACS, there are too many other options that I wish I had called.
BE CAREFUL TRUSTING THIS COMPANY! I had a scary encounter with one of the drivers from this company. It was my turn to go on the Valencia i10 ramp and one of their Cars was beside me, about 3 cars from that side had already gone before me so i decided to pick up my speed so I wouldn't miss my turn again and when I did the ACS delivery decided he didn't want to let me go so he steps on his gas and literally almost touches my bumper and makes it seem like he was going to hit me. He also slams his horn the entire time. I look at my rear view mirror and this guy then decide to flip me off with a nasty face. Flowing that he tries to drive next to me while giving a ghetto death stare. It's like he forgot he was in his work car. I called the company to report him and the"manager" girl seems just as unprofessional. Her whole tone was that of "so what?" Choose wisely, this says alot about this company.
I found everyone that I dealt with from office staff to field workers to be professional and answered my questions. The men who installed unit did a very good job with installation and clean up. again all the employees are polite and professional.
