Extreme Heating and Air Inc.

The pressure relief valve went faulty in our household in May 2022 and began leaking water throughout the garage. After contacting Extreme Heating and Air, a service tech. was sent out to our location to fix the valve. The total cost was $218.75

Shortly after the issue was "fixed," the water heater began to leak throughout the garage in June 2022. I contacted Extreme Heating, and Air talked to a representative and asked if a tech could come out and have the service covered under some warranty. She said, "that's not my call," and a manager would reach out to me.

I awaited the call for two weeks until I called again and said I would attend military training in June-September and that my availability was short. Once again, the service rep. noted that a manager would contact me. I stressed that it would have to be made within a couple of days due to my departure. I was told, "Almost impossible due to the short timeline." After awaiting a call, no service manager reached out.

Fast forward until October, when I finally had some time to be home for the repair, and I reached out again to get this issue fixed. Once again, no callback.

I contacted Extreme Heating and Air two days ago with my final attempt. This time I talked to the service rep. Manager. And told him about the issue. He said nothing could be done because the repair was not out of the warranty window (3 Months). I then asked if this could be escalated to find a justifiable conclusion. He stated, "I'm the manager, this is as far as it goes" In addition, I asked him if there was proof of my previous calls, and he said that no calls were logged and that the only one was from May.

I'm upset with how this situation was handled. Other businesses specialize in this sector that service the Anchorage and Eagle River area. Although this company has positive reviews, if you should find yourself in a situation where a project has to be redone, then you will be in for a beating. Highly advise resourcing services to another company.

Replace aging copper pipe with PEX. Arrived on time and did a great job replacing the old copper pipe. I have worked with Extreme Heat in the past, having my boiler serviced. and their parts counter. I have found the staff to be knowledgeable and helpful.

So I am updating my review and I hope you read it if you're looking for a Plumbing, Heating, HVAC business in Alaska.
I have been using Extreme for all my projects for 5 years. They have come out and responded to 5 water leaks and most recently, a complete overhaul and replacement of my boiler system to forced air.
During this remodel project, Shane, Nick, Aaron, and Cole were instrumental in producing a high quality product, given extreme (pun intended) circumstances and adversity.
I will NEVER call anyone else to work on my house, ever. I highly suggest you call these guys and experience what real workmanship, professionalism, and care looks like.
I have never been treated with anything less than the highest level of respect, dignity, and decency from this business.

Our furnace went totally out during our recent cold spell. After trying several Heating and air companies that would not tell us how soon they could respond, I started reading reviews and talking to neighbors and friends and called Extreme Heat and Air in Eagle River. The receptionist was cordial and stated that she would have the Manager call us and she stated she would put us on the "No Heat" list. To our surprise Cody, an Extreme Heat Tech called within the hour and said he was on the way. This young man was very well versed in his trade, trouble shot the problem and repaired our furnace in record time. Cody was extremely respectful, very accommodating, and a great representative for Extreme Heating and Air Inc. This will be our company of choice for our heating system from this point on and we would recommend them to anyone.

I was reading some positive comments on here before, I call them up.
My furnace gave up on me during the last couple of days of extremely cold winter days. I called them up on 4/8/21 to come to fix the furnace. The first day the technician, show up and check to see what is wrong. He told me that my ignitor is broken, he doesn't have that part in hand which is understandable. I gave him the okay to order the part. At this point, I have already been bill for the inspection. which I gladly pay for.

A couple of days later technician shows up with the ignitor and replace it, furnace still not working. Now I was told that the Mainboard is fry also, again I give the okay to order part too. Again a couple of days later, the technician show up and swap the mainboard and it still not working. The new board also makes the same noise and light indicate as the old board. At this point, the technician said they don't usually work on this kind of furnace.

I asked how much I owe them now and he shows me the bill, around 500 plus at this point. But nothing is being fixed. So the technician, point out that my exhaust fan is also broken and needs a new part also. He take out the exhaust fan part and looked at it. I give him the okay to order a new part too, but the technician never returns again. Now is 4/26/21 my furnace still not put together, parts laying everywhere. No call follow-up or anything.

This technician can not pinpoint the problem at all but taking a wild guess making you paid for all the parts until is fixed. Very poor job on this company. What I learn in all of this is to never have high expectations of Extreme Heating and Air Inc. just because of some positive reviews.

I will not suggest this company to anyone base on my experience.

We used Extreme in our remodel and they were great to work with. They fixed others work and gave great recommendations for ideas. They were on time and always responsive. When things got stressful for us, they kept us on track. I highly recommend!!

Extreme Heating recently installed a Modine 100KBTU forced air heater in our workshop as a replacement for an older, unserviceable unit. Our experience with EH was excellent. The communication with the front office was professional and friendly, the service technicians were on time and knowledgeable, and the price was very reasonable. I would highly recommend Extreme Heating.

We had James come out for a plumbing issue and Ryan for a boiler issue. Both were very friendly and knowledgeable. They solved our issues and even answered questions we had about the unfamiliar systems. They were able to come out for same-day service and had reasonable prices. Both worked quickly and cleaned up the area after they were finished. Highly recommend!
