Having utilized Central Plumbing many times over my 6 years here in Anchorage, I must say that most of my experiences have been positive.
However, while working on a large project, my customer decided to make a few changes to his plans, which required 2 gas pipes to require curring & threading. This customer has spent thousands of dollars on materials at Central, nd the guy that recut & thread the pipe insisted on charging $8 for the service.
This project has 3 more bathrooms, and 2 kitchens yet to be done. The petty insistence on charging $8 for threading the gas pipe alterations has cost central plumbing any chance at supplying further materials on this job.

These guys are expensive, but are worth every penny if you need something done right. Also, if you want to do things yourself, but have questions, they know it all. Finally, there are two days a year that everything they sell is 20% off.

Central pluming do not take back the item purchased (refund) nor exchange even though you have proof of receipt. I would say that before you go in and buy your item from this store. Make sure you really wanna buy the item(s) or else it's a waste of time and your money. Expensive store. Not satisfied.

Awesome, friendly, knowledgeable staff. The parts department had me in and out in 5 minutes compared to "Home Despot" where the plumbing guy stood there with me for 1/2 an hour looking at the fittings because he didn't know 1/4 from 3/8ths.

Called them for a part , with part number. Was assured they had it . Drove in all the way from the valley only to be told they didn’t by the same salesman I talked to on the phone .

Will not do Buisness with them again.

These guys will have the answers you need. You'll save time on your plumbing project by just going there first rather than trying to figure it out on your own at a big box store. Also, the advice will be sound. And that is worth every penny.

Customer Service is TOP NOTCH. The staff up there, especially Britt, prides themselves in being problem solvers before salesman. They want to help people, and they do.

The Warm Guys at Central are awesome, and very friendly. They are experts at parts and service. As a person in the business of heating, when I need a hard to find part, I call Brit, Barry or Paul.

They sell parts that are way too expensive and you have to pick it up at another warehouse company. The guy at the warehouse was super RUDE!!

The gentleman who helped us was very knowledgeable and made sure we knew what to do with the part we were purchasing. Great customer service.
