Muchow & South Central Heating & Cooling

My neighbor recommended Muchow and South Central Heating and Cooling for HVAC installation in our home on Lake Redstone. We previously used baseboard electric heat in winter and a window unit AC for summer. John (the owner) came to the house and discussed the installation with us. He spent time explaining everything we needed to know as well as soliciting our input. We had both central air and heat installed. Everyone we dealt with from this company (the owner, the office personnel and the installing technicians) were courteous and very professional. John took care of coordinating propane setup and electrical work from other businesses for us. It was a smooth, turn key operation. The work they performed was excellent. Any time I called, the response was very quick. The new central air and heat is so much nicer. It is evenly distributed and much more efficient. Our heating bill dropped from $250/month to $50/month. I highly recommend this company for any HVAC needs.

Our furnace stopped working yesterday morning (1/7/20) we called and within 30 minutes one of there guys was calling us. Within an hour he was here and diagnosing our furnace. Figured out the motor had gone out. He ran to Reedsburg to get the parts and came right back. From the time I called until the time he was done was less then 3 hours. Thank you for your great service! I should add the lady who answers the phone was super polite as well as the guy who came to our house.

South Central installed my furnace and A/C in 2006. Jon has been servicing both since, and helped me through a very difficult issue with my furnace. They came back for 2 days (even on a night and weekend) until the problem was solved. They also did not gouge me for the night and weekend call. This is a part time home and we can't afford a failure while we are gone. This company cares!... at a time when it's difficult to get good customer service after sale. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Purchased our Luxaire furnace from Muchow in 2007. The furnace became intermittent so we called it in at 10:30 AM on a weekday. The receptionist was friendly and told me that there would be someone at our residence within 20 minutes which they were.
Matt, our service man took only 1-1/4 hours to clean and inspect our furnace and change the four burners. He was courteous and and answered any questions. We will continue to rely on Muchow & South Central for our HVAC needs.

Muchow and South Central HVAC just installed a Mitsubishi mini-split system in our home. It's May and the weather can change - last weekend it was 81 degrees so we ran the AC just to see how it worked and it was wonderful. On the following Wednesday, it was a bit chillier, so we used it for heat and, again, it was wonderful. Everyone we worked with - TJ, Paul, Stevie, Matt, and Travis - were very professional. On day 2 of the installation we asked them to make a major change and they worked so well with us. I texted TJ at 1:30 AM and asked him if they might be able to make the change. TJ replied at 5:30 AM and said he would look to see what they could do. When Paul and Stevie arrived that morning they were ready to work with us and they made it happen. Later that day, TJ texted to make sure everything was okay. Matt and Travis then followed up with the fine tuning of the system and taught us how to run it. We are very impressed with their services - they know what they are doing, and we will continue to have them maintain our HVAC.

Had a couple other places attempt to repair my furnace. Should've started with Muchow's. It was a cheap and easy fix that they took care of immediately. Highly recommend!

I have used South Central/Muchow for years on my home and rental properties. This winter a 17+ year old furnace went out on a Saturday night at one of my rentals and Jon was over there within an hour to look at it and he had a crew there shortly after and they had a new furnace installed and blowing heat in a few hours and I honestly don't know what I would have done without them. I saw a previous review where someone was not happy about being charged for a weekend rate.........If I make an emergency call and service techs have to leave their homes and families on a weekend I would expect the hourly rate to flucuate (which is standard for after hours service). South Central/Muchow has serviced 20+ properties already this year for my clients and myself and everytime they get the job done and take care of business. Thanks again guys !

TJ from Muchow HVAC is fantastic to work with. Gives you answers, bids, and solutions to problems straight-up with no gimmicks. They were able to remove all the old ductwork in my house, move the furnace, attach the furnace, and install new ductwork in 3 days. They do a fantastic job.
