I was impressed with the company’s professionalism and thoughtfulness in explaining the problem, how to fix it, and the cost breakdown. I highly recommend this company and will be keeping them in my contacts on speed dial to recommend to my family/friends. Galatic was the third company we called when our air condition wasn’t working. We have had some poor interactions with other HVAC companies in the area previously but were relieved that Rob was able to fit us into his already busy schedule. He listened to all of my concerns and was able to diagnose the problem quickly and efficiently getting our air conditioning back up and running. He also did a bit of preventative maintenance to fix our slightly bent air handing unit’s drain to prevent the same issue from happening again in the future. Rob explained all of the costs associated in the repair and felt we paid a very fair price especially since he fit us in same day going into the holiday weekend. We appreciated his professionalism, thoroughness, and never mailed us feel awkward.

1. Our air conditioner was not working when we arrived home from our weekend trip on July 3rd. On July 4th, I called a large local company. The answering service told me that someone would contact me the next day. They did not. I had to call them, only to be informed that they were swamped and would contact me on July 6th. Nobody wants to deal with unclear communication and questionable responsiveness when their AC system is broken and it is 90° outside in July. I decided to find a better alternative.
2. I just did a Google search for air conditioner repair, and FORTUNATELY CAME ACROSS GALACTICA. When I called, my call was answered by the technician himself. He indicated that he was on a job and would be able to come out in about 3 hours. I was very pleased about this answer, as I was not expecting same day service. Within the next 30 minutes or so, the technician called back to say that he was actually able to be at my house within 20 minutes if I was available. He apologized for the lack of professionality in not being able to send the obligatory, I'm on my way, text because he had not had time to even put me into the system as a customer. I TOTALLY DID NOT CARE ABOUT THAT.
3. When Rob arrived, exactly when he said he would, he was able to diagnose the issue in record time. He had to go retrieve the part, but came back quickly, and had my system up and running within the hour.

THINGS I REALLY LIKED
1. The technician himself answered the phone, so I could explain my situation in enough detail to where he knew what to expect.
2. He told me the diagnostic fee right up front without me having to ask.
3. He was very courteous, professional, and clearly knowledgeable. He encouraged me to clean certain spaces for better efficiency in a totally non-judgmental way.
4. He told me the complete cost for repair, and let me decide if I was willing to pay that price. He explained in layman's terms.
5. The price was exactly what he said it would be. He sent me an invoice via text message for the fee. At no time did I feel uncomfortable, awkward, or pressured about payment or additional services.

My one con is that he did everything so quickly, he wrote the wrong last name on my invoice. The payment system is very easy, but it doesn't actually give you a confirmation number. It just says that your balance is $0. There doesn't appear to be anyway of making multiple partial payments.
THE MOST POSITIVE
I saw that many people were writing good value in their reviews. When I was told the total, it sounded fair to me. However, I am not an air conditioning technician, so how would I know? I decided to seek feedback. I reached out to another AC repair technician of a very trusted friend. This technician was just too busy to see me. I stated what Galactica did without giving the price. I asked him what he would expect to pay for this service. Galactica charged me an amount that was in the bottom 10% of the range given by the other technician. Thus, I have a benchmark to truly say that Galactica gave me good value. I will definitely contact them again for any future service needs. Hopefully, not anytime soon though.
