Very pleased with the service and attitude of the service men: professional, polite, clean. Wore a face mask and boots covering inside the house, explained the problem and the repair. Had the replacement part, replaced it and left within an hour with the system working. Great job, thank you.

Dan and his assistant arrived on time and went to work Immediately. They were very organized and completed a thorough service check on my furnace. I had questions about future changes I’m considering and Dan answered my questions and was able to suggest options and costs for me to consider. I am totally satisfied with their work and price, and I highly recommend Bryson Heating and Air Conditioning of Salem, VA.

Highly professional, solved the problem, came out quick and a pleasure to work with. I've had them out a few times to my house to service the unit. The best!

Very responsive. Since Bryson previously replaced both our our HVAC units, we continue to call on them whenever service is needed. Recently, the AC on the main level of our house stopped working. The very same day we called, they came out and diagnosed the issue; after 13 years a new blower motor was needed. They replaced it the next day. Dan is such a nice and dependable guy.

I highly recommend this great family owned business! From Richard and Betty to the professional service technicians, their friendly service was top notch and everything we could ask for! The installation of our beautiful gas log insert was a pleasant experience and we will contact them again if we have any other heating and air needs. Thanks Bryson family!!

Bryson did a complete replacement of our HVAC system and installed a new gas line. I'm really pleased with the result, and the process from start to finish was excellent. Dan is detail oriented, methodical, and provides great customer service. He returned my calls and e-mails when he said he would; he took the time to ensure that I understand how the system operates; and he was personable and friendly from start to finish. The level of service Bryson provided is hard to come by. The review by Stephen Hokanson mirrors my experience; I am analytical and ask tons of questions as well. Not once did they seem bothered by my questions and seemed to enjoy the opportunity to teach me about how things work. I highly recommend Bryson!

Bryson Heating & Air is a small family owned business. In June 2017, they removed my oil boiler and electric hot water heater and replaced it with a natural gas boiler (Carrier/Bryant) and a natural gas hot water heater (Bradford White). They did a very good job and I am 100% satisfied. Their prices were the lowest of 4 or 5 quotes I received. They are an honest business.

We moved into our home (built in 1982) back in 2012. In 2015 the original furnace and AC unit needed to be replaced. I'm an analytical person (a chemist); I research my options to best evaluate benefits versus cost and ask a lot of questions. Bryson made my decision amazingly easy. I had multiple HVAC companies come to my home over several weeks to size new equipment and run quotes on installation. I learned of Bryson on the Comfort Institute website (great source of information - google it!). I was surprised Bryson was the only company locally that is a member. When it came to correctly sizing the new equipment for my home (~4000 sq ft. of finished space) Bryson was the ONLY company out of five Trane dealers that did not rush through the home inspection because they did more than just a walk-thru: on the initial free estimate visit, with no commitment from me, Daniel and Richard from Bryson easily spent a couple hours at the house to adequately run tests to properly size the new equipment (measuring pressure differential between outside and indoors and used infrared light to detect any major air leaks), and even inspected and evaulated my current attic insulation. It was clear to me that they run a business that keeps the best interests and needs of the customer at mind; they will spend the time to do things right keeping costs as minimal as possible; they will not try to up-sell you. After running tests and using computerized software to calculate the load for the new system, they were actually the only company to recommend installing a smaller 3-ton unit versus the 4-ton units the other companies were trying to sell me (based on just walking through the house and not running any tests specific to my own home). I don't think the other companies spent more than a 1/2 hour at the house. Bryson will sit down with you at the table and discuss with you all your concerns and questions face to face; they are not in a rush and will not leave until you are satisfied. Going with Bryson ultimately saved me thousands of dollars on the job and was even half the cost of one of the other companies. Bryson however does not limit your options and will suggest and recommend solutions that will work for you. I found that their advice and recommendations were solid; I like a company that makes bold decisions based on your individual home's needs not what a similar home of your type may typically require. They are not just "eye-balling" what they think would work for your home - they truly care by making multiple trips to the home until they are certain they have a good working solution. Their pricing was far better than any of the other HVAC contractors. In fact, at first I had them temporially fix my old furnace blower so we could have heat (20 degree night and we have 2 kids under 3 years old). Daniel bent over backwards to come to the house after-hours late at night just so we could have heat for the night! He did not charge extra for this service call, and only charged for the part, no labor. The part ended up failing a couple days later and they offered a full refund on the part even though it came with no warranty and I knew it was a temp fix...I actually had to contact them to suggest I should at least pay for the service call. They aren't there to sell you a job, they want to gain your trust and business. There are several reasons I am so glad I went with Bryson: they only sell you what you need, my new system is more than sufficient in keeping my home comfortable, the new equipment has lowered my bills, they will meet with you in person multiple times if you want and they respond quickly, they answer all your questions honestly, and they truly provide exceptional customer service from sales to technical questions to installing the equipment - the installation was very well done; I am very pleased with the results and their continued customer service. You will find that they are attentive and listen, professional and knowledgable, dependable, and value their customer base. I highly recommend them to anyone for residential HVAC.

We are so pleased with Bryson Heating and Air Conditioning. A couple of years ago we had them put in a couple of mini-splits for us in an area of the house that another company said was impossible to cool. That worked out beautifully, so when we needed to replace our heat pump for the main part of our house we had them do that, too. Today the air conditioner stopped working and Dan came out to Floyd from Roanoke late on a Friday afternoon to see what was wrong. He discovered a big hornet had somehow crawled up into the water line and died there. Because a kill switch had been installed to prevent flooding if something ever blocked the line, the system shut down rather than flooding the attic. We are so pleased with Bryson's service, from the installations to fixing a crazy problem like this, that we want to recommend them to anyone who is looking for heating and air conditioning services.

Bryson Heating and Air is a family owned and in my experience with them a family oriented business. Undertaking a large purchase to replace a 30 year HVAC system and duct work could have been stressful. From the estimate to showing me the ins and outs of the newly installed system...this company can best be described as reliable, dependable, honest and quality work. In this day and age when companies make you work around their schedule...Bryson went out of its way to accommodate mine. If you want to minimize your stress and anxiety by having to do an HVAC replacement...I would strongly recommend Bryson. Thanks Richard, Betty, Daniel and Ryan!
