AMERICAN HEATING AND AIR CONDITIONING, Inc. is a awesomely customer focused company. They know their stuff. As many of you know, having a repair person come to your home often is filled with invisible costs and the bill that you think will be $200 turns out to be $500. This is my second time using American Heating and Air Conditioning Inc. and they are very much my "GO TO HVAC repair company". Other companies you have to be on their plan or pay for a subscription or something totally annoying and they do their job but when the costs add up...it is horribly expensive. It is getting hot now in May in Roanoke, so I call on a Saturday at 9 am because the AC won't turn on and he says he can get here at 10:30 and he is here on time and does a great job and price was better than I thought. I am a very happy customer.

AC went out on a Saturday night, during A multi day heat wave. After some research, I called American Heating & Air early on Sunday Morning. Dave returned my call immediately, and was here within just a couple of hours. Very professional, explained what the problem was, and had it fixed in no time. Honest, no trying to up-sale things I didn’t need. I felt the price was reasonable, especially on a Sunday morning. Thanks Dave !

i did not think service and attention to detail like this existed anymore before utilizing this company for my air conditioning issues. i had been told by 2 other companies that i needed a new system and that was the only option. american technician Alex was able to fix my problem without my needing to spend thousands for a new system. my ac blows ice cold and works better than it ever did since i have lived in this house.

We were out of town and came home to no AC. The house was quite hot and stuffy. We called American Heating and Air Conditioning immediately which was about 3:30 p.m. and they were able to get to us by 5:30 p.m. that same day. It was so nice to have an easy fix, ac tech informing us everything he did, replaced two parts, and we had a nice nite's sleep, cool and pleasant! Thank you for your continued excellent service.

we have lived in the roanoke valley pretty much most of our life and have used quite a few different heating and AC maintenance companies. (An there are a few i will never use again) i came upon American Heating & Air through the internet due to an AC problem this past summer. James came right out and examined the unit, an explained exactly what was wrong. he has been back a couple more times to repair and or replace aging units in our home. they are fair on their price and customer service is #1 . we dont typically write reviews but this one was easy and well deserving. American heating & AC is #1 in the roanoke alley

SERVICE & product are Great, as usual. Been using American Heating & Air Conditioning for close to 15 years now and have never been happier. It's close to a 95 degrees outside, but I'M sitting cool in my living room reading the newspaper...!
Their most recent visit was a scheduled 2 year preventive maintenance checkup on the unit that was installed 10 years ago. The technicians are always top notch professionals that are, without a doubt the most knowledgable and patient team in the business. They are efficient, courteous, and patient. In our case, we were shown the parts needed with a thorough explanation of what was needed and why. I was told the cost for parts and labor.
All prices were fair and accurate... They even installed a newer wall thermostat that I was interested in because my eyesight was beginning to have trouble reading the old numbers. Of course, we were charged for the extra, requested item. But, no extra labor charge. All done within the hour! Very, very satisfied.
We are feeling pretty good about ourselves, too. Because we started and stayed with the best!
It's NOW close to a 100 degrees outside, but I'M listening to music...and dancing in a cool breeze - lovin' it!

Would never recommend this company to anyone! Wanted to quote me $4600 for a whole new unit when mine was only 3 years old. Never once said anything about a warranty on my original unit. Just wanted to sell Bryant. Ended up charging me $500 on “so called repair and leak detection saying it was leaking all over and needed a whole complete unit.”. Had another reputable company come out and actually found the leak in about 4 min and repaired it in 30 min and working like a champ! This company is a joke! You say you are a Vet? Vets don’t rip other Vets off!!

To your response:
First off get your "facts" straight, I sought your company out due to your so called rating. It wasn't cause I was not able to get another company out here because if you read, another company came out the same day called and repaired it. If I were outside your range you could have said so and saved us both time and money. Don't do me a favor by taking my money. I knew I had a leak, the reason for contacting your company. One thing I didn't mention in my original post was all the slamming of your fellow Heating and Air companies in the area. Bent Mt is a little farther out but none the less.
Second, yes my father was there during your return visit as you said and saw the so-called leaks your company noticed. Funny that when the other company came out he was there as well and even told them were you found leaks..... There was 1 small leak under the fan on the unit, you would have seen that if you removed it as it was clear as day to me when they pointed it out. They didn't use "your leak detection" it could be heard from the human ear and felt.
Third, I never asked you to warranty anyones work, what I did say you never even mentioned that I should contact the Lenox company to see about a warranty repair if all the leaks you detected were in-fact true. You just wanted to sell me a whole new unit. I don't have a problem with things going wrong, its only nature but what I do have a problem with you slamming other companies and saying I had leaks were I obviously didn't.
Fourth, like you mentioned I was not there the 2nd time you came out, but we DID speak on the phone if you recall. Please remember your core values as a Vet. I am done with you and your company and wish to not be contacted by you or anyone in your company.

James is VERY thorough and knowledgeable and always takes care of our heating/cooling issues without any hiccups whatsoever. There's no one else I would want to look after this for us and I wish I could rate American Heating & Air higher than five stars if I could.

Called with an AC issue and was seen by a technician within 2 hours of calling. James fixed the problem, was honest and objective on how to proceed if it persisted. Will certainly use in the future and would highly recommend.
