Just bought a home and moved in to a duff 3rd floor cooling unit. Commonwealth came out and promptly diagnosed and repaired the unit and got us up and running. Service was fairly priced and the tech I was awesome. Highly recommended
2nd visit another a/c unit stopped working and the rep came out on Saturday fixed the wiring, cooled the overheated motor - got it working in no time. The tech went right to the problem. Again highly recommended
The company was professional and friendly. They answered my call immediately and were able to come to my home the very next day. The technician (Mark) was very friendly and took the time to explain to me what he did and why. He was honest about the condition of my equipment and he was clean, professional, and polite. Definitely recommend.
I have used Commonwealth for more than eight years and have always had a fabulous experience. Brian and his team have gone above and beyond to exceed my service expectations. They are very professional, knowledgeable, and courteous. They have always been on time and done quality work. I would definitely recommend Commonwealth and will continue to use them as needed in the future.
We have used Commonwealth for years to do our routine maintenance. Their technicians are knowledgeable and always do a great job. Recently, our upstairs air conditioning unit needed to be replaced. They replaced it quickly and at a great price. Whether it's a small or large job, Commonwealth always has wonderful service. I would definitely recommend this company!
Extremely professional and was on time. He explained exactly the issue and what needed to be fixed and/or replaced. I highly recommend them and I will be using them in the future.
These guys are the best! I called them on a Sunday morning and they were out here right away. In order to fix my A/C they needed a part, and Brian went beyond the call of duty and tracked it down for me and came back and got it installed on the same day. I have used them before and I have always had a great experience. I highly recommend them.
I noticed water beneath the hot water heater in our utility room. I called Commonwealth to report the problem after business hours on May 15. Before I received a call back (the next day), I examined the source of the leak and determined that the water was coming from the drain tube from our A/C unit that we had used that day for the first time this season. I explained the situation to the representative of the company who called and said the leaking was contained and it was not an emergency, but I wanted it looked at as soon as their schedule would permit. He scheduled an appointment for early May 18. I was told my annual service contract needed to be renewed and that the repairman would have me sign and pay for the next year when he came. As always, the service person was very competent and professional and saw that a coupler along the plastic pipe needed replacing. The repairman proceeded to perform a spring check up of my A/C while he was here. He completed both putting a new fitting on the drain tube and performing the spring check-up all well within an hour. The bill for this visit was $413.95 of which $273.95 related to replacing a small plastic coupler and "clearing" the condensation tube. This involved "diagnosis" of a problem I had identified and pointed out and using a $.50 piece of tubing and two small metal clamps. I am a long time customer of Commonwealth who purchased this A/C unit from the company when we first moved into this house and I have purchased a "service contract" yearly since the original installation. Under the circumstances, I believe that the charges for this small job were not reasonable.
It was 6:30pm approximately 3-weeks ago... The case occurred during and after our first five-inch snow and freezing rainfall in sub-freezing temperatures. The temps were diving, the heat pump (HP) was freezing-up and looking like a block of ice. It was throttled and throwing off loud sounds like I was on the runway at Dulles Airport. I stood clear of the window to be sure I wouldn’t get wacked by a loose HP fan flying from the unit. HP was on its last leg and that action was needed ASAP.
Layered-up with wool and contemplating options, I knew immediately I needed to contact Commonwealth Cooling & Heating.
Commonwealth Cooling & Heating previously serviced our townhouse with profession experience and great results, and they did it again. That evening I communicated the declining issues with Commonwealth C & H and that next day I had solution options to choose from and to proceed with. The install was scheduled even though more snow and rain were in the forecasted.
Overall, within 24-hours a two-man crew arrived 8:30 am and immediately mobilized to assess the existing conditions and proceeded with the new install. In addition to having all the correct equipment and experience, they had all the correct accessory equipment to protect the house and home folks – floor throw covers, shoe covers and yes, the mask covers needed during these times. The men hit it out of the park and answered all concerning questions. They took the time needed to assure all setting and loads were correct and outlined that should there be any issues experienced they’d be back. None were needed and three weeks removed and all is working without a hitch.
Without hesitation, I would say that should you have an experience like I did, or other issues during the dog-days of summer, the tech cooling & heating contractor you need to call is Commonwealth Cooling & Heating.
