    My AC wasn't cooling my house as it should, I found E.L. Sawyer's on Angie's list with a few others. Out of all the places that called me back E.L. Sawyer's had the best customer service and I am not disappointed in the choice I made. Joe is a phenomenal person, who is not only great at what he does but you can tell he loves what he does and he takes pride in his business. Customer service was excellent and I felt confident and comfortable that he knew what he was doing and talking about when it came to my HVAC system. Just a wonderful experience all around, so if you are looking for someone to take care of your heating and conditioner problem, this is the business to call ❤

    Damon was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. Our A/C was not working at full capacity and he took the time to troubleshoot and eventually clean it and replace Freon. He also explained things to my husband about how the units are supposed to work and overall he was able to share some of his experience and knowledge with my husband. We have absolutely no complaints and would recommend this company to family/ friends in the local area.

    Sawyer’s Heating & Air conditioning did a superb job replacing my old a/c with a brand new unit! Mr. Joe Lawson, the manager, spearheaded the work. Now me and my family are enjoying the quiet and very cold air in our home. I highly recommend them to everyone who needs a new unit. The price is very cheap and affordable. The team is very professional!!! I’m not one who writes reviews but they deserve the appreciation and recognition! I sure will tell all my friends, family, and acquaintances!     Joe was amazing. Another company had projected a repair bill of several thousand dolly. Joe did an inspection and found the system was likely tampered with and fixed it in 20 minutes for just the cause of a service call.

    My mom had a problem with her furnace and needed it repaired. Mr. Joe Lawson came out and looked at it right away and needed a part to fix it. He found it the same day and got everything fixed and up and running before the cold weather came the following day. Everyone from this company was so very kind and knowledgeable. They took time to explain everything and even called after the repair was completed to check and make sure that everything was working and the house was getting heat. They have excellent customer service and their pricing was more than fair. I would highly recommend this company to anyone who needs heating or cooling services. Working with them was one of the best experiences we have had with any home repair company that we have ever used and we will definitely continue to use them in the future.

    I installed a Nest thermostat last night and wasn’t aware that two wires had touched. The heat didn’t turn on for the first floor the entire night and it was below 60 degrees in the morning. I called before 8 am and left a message and Joe called me back within 15 minutes. He asked me what was going on and I gave him the analysis of what I found on the gas furnace. He immediately knew that I blew the fuse and that replacements can be found at a car parts store or Home Depot. He saved me a lot of stress and a lot of money. Thank you Joe, I am extremely grateful for your responsiveness and tremendous help!

    Just recently I bought a new gas stove, got it connected but still had a gas leak. This was a day two days before Thanksgiving, and I had to call Sawyers. Joe's son came with a smile on his face to get me my range ready for Thanksgiving cooking. I'm truly amazed by this father/son relationship. I've seen "another father/son HVAC team on TV commercials" but with Sawyer's Heating & Air Conditioning you get the father or son or both showing up at your house with a smile and fixing the problem at a very very affordable rate. I don't know if you can say that about that "other" company. The truth is, Sawyer's don't have time making commercials because they are busy serving the needs of families in Virginia and North Carolina. They are BBB accredited too!! Call them for all your HVAC needs.

    Came home on the 10th around 4PM to a 78 degree house and rising. Called around to about 8 HVAC businesses and to American Mechanical's credit, they were the only ones that rogered up to send someone to my house same day as the call which I did appreciate. $150 flat fee just to look at my unit. The technician (Dennis), came to the house, opened the panel, flipped the breaker, installed a capacitor and shook his head stating the motor was bad, the compressor was shot and the entire unit needed to be replaced and 'Home Office' would be in touch to schedule a full replacement. He took my money and rushed out the door. Did some more shopping and contracted Sawyer Heating and Jo. Jo came in today at 11:24 and after his expertise magic touch, had the AC unit up and running by 11:33. Either American Mechanical didn't know how to look at a wire panel or they took advantage of me being desperate due to the heat and just penned me in for a 'new unit' without actually fixing the unit. Whether it was incompetence or shady business practices, I will not be using them again. 5 Stars to Sawyer Heating, you are now my GO TO HVAC repair folks.

    Do not go with company. My bad feeling about the Service Tech that repaired my AC turned to be right. The first thing he said was he never worked on a Lennox Unit before but they are all the same. After cleaning the coils, service Tech stated that the Freon Level was low without reading the pressure guidance provided by the manufacture on the back of the panel. He added 5 lb of Freon and over charged the system. He did not take his time reading the pressure. As a result, the high pressure switch would trip every few days. After spending 300 plus dollars, I had to call another company. They stated the system was overcharged because the inlet/outlet temperature reading was way off as well as the pressure when compared to the manufacture guidance. They discharged some of the Freon back to Manufacturer’s recommendation, right away, the compressor sounded better. The system is now operating with no problem for a week now.

    Update: Manager Mr. Lawson has reached out to me in a very professional and prompt manner and has agreed to refund the Freon charges. He has offered a seasonal maintenance for free by himself to gain the confidence back. Most important, He stated that his company will stand by their work. I would give them another try in the future.

    Called him on a Sunday morning because our heat went out. He was quick to respond and came out less than 2 hours later. Turns out there were two switches for our furnace and the one I checked wasn't active anymore. He walked in and found the other switch for the furnace, turned it on and it works.. He was quick, friendly and I would absolutely call him again if needed.
