We have lived in our home for 26 years. It is a 1929 craftsman (everything is custom). During this time we have contracted with Brooks Electric twice for HVAC replacement. They have given us the best price and honored all agreements. I consider them my goto company for any HVAC issue.

I have been using Brooks Electric for my HVAC and electrical needs for over 15 years. They have done work in my own residence and also in 2 rental properties. They do an excellent job and have always charged a fair price. I switched to them when another company tried to tell me I needed an entire new HVAC system. I called Brooks Electric and they explained I only needed a replacement part. They made the repairs and the HVAC system continued to function with no issues for many more years, saving me thousands of dollars.
I also had them replace an HVAC unit at a rental property. They installed the correct size unit in a reliable brand at a fair price. I trust them and recommend them highly.

had prior work done where the technicians could not determine root cause of issue and had to keep returning to fix the same problem. Lead technician told me that I would not be responsible for prior service calls since it was their fault in not finding the problem. Paid the amended bill and all was fine. Called to have them service unit again, office manager
called and said I was problem customer and had to pay cash because they had to write off other visits. Tried to explain the situation and told the lead technician knew the issue. Manager did not want to admit they made a billing mistake. Taking my business elsewhere since management is arrogant and clueless.

I don't want to give an entirely bad review for this company, but DO NOT HIRE THEM FOR HVAC WORK! We hired Brooks for a job to replace our AC unit and move the heating/cooling system from the downstairs utility closet to our attic. They said they would have the job done in one day. The first target they missed was that it took them 3 days to do the install, which was no big deal in my opinion. But after about a week the AC unit froze over and they had to come out to adjust the unit. I thought that was the end, but they had to come out a few days after that because the unit froze AGAIN. This was in July, so it was definitely an inconvenience. After they got that fixed, we didn't have any issues for a few months. However when it started getting cold outside, we tried to turn on the heat, only to discover that was not working. I went up to have a look at the unit and found that the unit was coming on, just no flame. I also found a large amount of debris (wires, pvc pipe, screws, nails, etc) that they had left behind when they did the initial installation. I called up Brooks, asked them to check out the heater and to clean up the all garbage they left behind. The tech came out the next day and told me that the circuit board on the heater had gone bad. He told me that he would call me back later that day and let me know how long it would take to get the part. I said that was fine and asked him if he had cleared out all the debris and he said he had. Brooks never called me back. I called another company to take a look at the situation. The guy from the other company took 20 minutes to find the problem - the ground wire had not been attached to the heater. The heat works fine now. I also saw that Brooks had not cleaned up their garbage, which I collected and put into a box for them to collect at their convenience. Brooks may be good at some things, but HVAC work is not one of them.
