Gentry Air Conditioning

We had Gentry AC replace our entire HVAC system, including ducts and all, and they did a great job. The new Trane system cools our home, even in the record breaking heat we have been having. While they were working, they did not disrupt our routine at all. They were neat and cleaned up after themselves very well. When the city inspector looked in the attic at the new ductwork, he said, "Wow, they did a good job." You normally don't expect to hear that from an inspector. These guys are great.

Gentry A/C came to my rescue with total knowledge in assessing my A/C problem. I had two other companies look at my A/C unit and one of which told me I needed a whole new system at the tune of thousands! I have used Gentry for years because they have excellent customer service and their technicians are professional, reliable and are very good about explaining the problems I am having with my a/c along with informing me of my possible solutions.

I don't ever write reviews, but based upon my experience, I wanted to share. Gentry fixed my AC yesterday and I can't say enough good things about them. AC was blowing hot last Thursday evening when I got home and I called A#1 Air due to their taking calls after hours. They came next morning quoted me $3k to replace a coil and other $600 to replace some copper and then started talking to me about a new unit for $10-14k. Current unit is 5 years old. Felt like I was getting hustled so called around and was fortunate enough that John Gentry called me back. He thought the part might be under warranty and worked for three days with Trane about the warranty. And every step along the way John called to update me. Coil was about $1,200 and their labor was about $1,600, so less than prior quote. Once they arrived yesterday and pulled the coil out, it ended up being a small part inside or next to the coil. They went and got that part and part and labor was $550 total. Part of the $550 included having them check my other unit while they were there.

And upon their inspection, they determined my copper tubing was the right size and didn't need replacing. They could have easily stuck the coil in, replaced the copper, and made more money and I never would have known the difference. I will never doubt anything they tell me in the future, and they'll be the only ones I'll ever call. And the AC is now frigid cold. :)

Tech arrived right on time. Very professional and kind. He listened to my explanation (even though it is obvious I am not a HVAC tech). He informed me of what was needed and explained everything clearly to me. Having no AC is a stressful situation and Jacob made me feel so much better and cooled my house off quickly!
