Would not allow me to return a defective air compressor 5 hours after purchase. Manager was combative from the start. Return policy states you can return for any reason up to 60 days after purchase.

From the moment I walked in the store I was extremely pleased with the service. I received assistance from an employee named Juan, who seemed to be very knowledgeable with the equipment that I purchased. He checked other stores to check availability for the equipment I needed. He found the exact model I needed and promptly coordinated shipment to the store at no additional charge. At checkout, he helped me receive additional discounts. I will definitely be using this store for future purchases and would highly recommend to anyone looking for quality customer service.

I went to buy a tool box and the guy from the register was not helpful at all extremely lazy he put a lot of excuses just to not carry the tool box from the back of the store

Return policy of this store is by far the worst.
Store policy is that if you return without receipt, you'll get store credit.
So the way they do this is by going through their system to ensure you purchased from them using credit card and store you purchased it from, so they literally have the purchase proof in their hand, but won't give you return to your credit card, and will o ly give you store credit because i dont have the receipt MYSELF. All while any other store will give you credit back to your card bc they can look it up same way and see the proof of purchase.
They collect info on you through phone # which I presume they sell off to third party.
So while they might of got my $200, I will never buy anything from them again because of how difficult they made this whole transaction, compare to any other store.
Win the small battles NTE, not the war.

Not to mention when I was trying to buy stuff, I couldn't find a soul to help me, or even know what they were talking about, so there's the other reason never to purchase from this company again

Walked in and was asked if I needed help right away. After I told the associate what I was looking for, she took me to the correct aisle and helped me by explaining the differences in the tools. Service was outstanding, and cashier was also very friendly and quick. Haven’t shopped at the store very often, but will definitely be back more often.

I took one of my units in to be repaired, and after my experience I would recommend Northern Tool to anyone and everyone. Josh and Lucino were super helpful, as they both provided excellent customer service and answered all of my questions and concerns. The turnaround time was extremely fast, and all of the warranty policies were approved quickly. Great job guys! I will definitely be back
