Ron is a wonderful guy. he came out to my home and did a get job. good people are hard to find. So when you do find them, you keep them. I will call no one else for my AC repairs. Great service/reasonable prices.
Texas Star is EXACTLY like all the positive reviews say on here. The fan blade on our outside unit stopped working and therefore no cold air could blow inside. Our house got up to 85 degrees and we were miserable. Ron came out within an hour after calling him (after regular hours) and recognized the problem immediately. He replaced the capacitor in minutes and the problem was solved! He is super-friendly and helpful beyond what his normal duties would dictate. I would recommend Texas Star for any and all HVAC needs.
I am a small business owner offering paint classes throughout the week including Friday and Saturday evenings. Our AC went out at about 3PM on a Saturday afternoon. We had over 50+ guests expected to our studio that evening. I googled AC Repair Cypress, TX and located Texas Star Heating & Cooling. Ron (owner) answered at 6PM that evening (after I attempted to repair myself). He was very professional and extremely knowledgable and AVAILABLE! He went to our studio, fixed the problem, discussed the problem and fix. He returned on following Monday to continue repair and left a box of the correct filters for our commercial AC unit. I cannot express how blessed I was to 1) have the owner answer the phone on the weekend, 2) agree to visit and repair our unit on no notice/weekend 3) have the problem resolved within hours! I absolutely would recommend Ron and Texas Star & Cooling to anyone. Thank you!

Most of all I appreciated Ron's willingness to explain what he found along with my current and future options in a way that a non AC professional can understand.
First of all our heater went out on early Sunday morning 3/3/13 around 2 am. I looked online and read excellent reviews about Texas Star Heating and Cooling and gave him a call. He came to my house quickly after we had called and we were thankful since it was a Sunday morning. Ron was very polite and extremely professional. He had shoe covers on his feet to prevent any dirt from coming in. He went in the attic and starting looking at our heater. He was able to find the problem quickly. Our gas ignitor had went bad and our blowers were filthy. He said he could have the ignitor first thing in the morning. He came bright and early with his helper Jose and they immediately laid our sheets from the front door to my sons room where the attic stairs are and started bring everything in. He switched out the ignitor, brought down the blower and clean it. He sanitized my evaporator as well. He also changed out our vent that houses our filters. He also fixed the air duct in our sons room. Either his room would get too hot or too cold. When he was finished with everything he vacuum the rug from my sons room to the front door. He provided the best customer service I had ever seen. I was so impressed and I will definitely recommend him to all my friends and family. I liked his company on facebook as well so all my friends can see. So if you want the best and quick air service you will choose Texas Star! Thanks Ron for all your help! You are a good honest person and your company reflects that!!!
I had my a.c. quit during record breaking heat. Ron and Jose were working on a big project many miles from me. They came out within 2 hours. Fixed problem and explained why. They showed me where and how to prevent recurrence. I was not maintaining unit as needed, my fault but LESSON LEARNED. THE MOST HONEST AND DEPENDABLE company I have ever worked with. Yes, worked with as they want to repair but also teach me how to make my unit last. I am 71 years old, so I know what a rarity their VALUES are.
Ron was extremely knowledgeable, professional and friendly during his visit. He immediately identified the problem, explained the repair to be made, and the cost of the repair. During the repair, he explained the general function of the system and how to maintain the system properly to reduce future costs. After replacing the capacitor, he identified that the motor had overheated. Rather than stick us with the cost of a new motor, he cooled the motor then tested it for proper function. By doing this, he demonstrated that his care for his customers exceeds his concern for his bottom line. His card is going on our fridge for any future issues we may have.
This is the only company I will call for my AC/heater. Ron is very professional and will go beyond normal customer service to help you. He replaced my coil and i could not be happier with the professionalism and knowledge this man has. If you want the job done right and at a fair price, this is the only place to go.
I called Air Pro and they came out and gave me an estimate of 3640 to fix my system and had a list of problems from bad expansions to leaks. They also charged me 80 bucks for this wrong diagnostic. The 2nd company I called out was Texas Star. Ron came out and found out the real problem . He will show you and explain to you the problem and the solution to fix it. He found a valve that wasn't installed properly. He fixed it quick and his total was for from the 3600 from the other company. H fixed everything and had me back up and going for 650 . He has earned a life long costumer. I have his number saved in my phone now . He also installed a sight glass to monitor the refrigerant.
