Our usual HVAC service provider said we needed a new furnace and A/C. When we got HVAC Express to give it another look, they said it was working just fine--and the furnace might work for another decade! Highly recommended! Thanks Dominic!!

We have used HVAC Express for some time now for general maintenance on our heating and cooling system. Our compressor went out suddenly the same day guests were arriving from out of town. They went to San Antonio to pick up the unit (the local unit apparently was purchased by someone else in the 5 min it took to verify pricing with me). The unit was installed and house cooling that evening. In the day in age of so many people not showing up to do their job, HVAC Express went above and beyond. A breath of fresh air and very much appreciated.
We had a unexpected failure of our cooling system during record breaking heat. They were able to send someone to check our system by the end of the day. During the day Al was nice enough to respond personally to my concern that we would be able to get service. That personal response is so reassuring! Antoine was a great service guy and clearly knew what to do. Big relief to have him come in and solve the issue quickly!
HVAC Express is the original company that installed our units 3 years ago. Unfortunately changes in their service practices are everyone’s nightmare. Not showing up on time or even the day they are scheduled, communications that are not accurate are the least of the issues a customer will encounter with HVAC Express. A unit that they picked up over a month ago for a warranty repair is still at large. They continue to ask & come over for pictures of the room it was installed in. Al said he dropped the ball on this & said the company the unit is from is giving them a hard time. Meantime I have a room with no AC. This week I called for repairs on our house unit, I explained the unit had a high-pitched screeching sound & is not cooling the house.The first tech came out said it was a Freon issue. I explained the screeching noise again and it seemed like there was a bigger issue. He said no it’s the Freon and he didn’t have Freon with him & didn’t think he could get the Freon before the store closed so he would come back at 8 the next morning. He said leave it running and just abuse it to keep the house cool. After 10 AM The next morning and I’m sure what will be a large electric bill I called Al & let him know the tech had not shown up. He said the tech was on his way. Three hours later no tech, I left Al a text stating that the tech still had not shown up. He text back “oh my God I thought he already took care of you, i’ll get someone out there right away. Hours later a different tech shows up says it’s a fan issue and the Freon connections were not tightened. He had to leave to go get the parts he would be right back. Hours later I text Al the tech has not come back. He says oh he’s on his way, just about to pull in. The tech shows up an hour later in his personal vehicle and does the repair. Of course the invoice charge for the repair is over priced.
The Onwers Are Very Cordial And Professional, Not To Say Their Installers Where Very Clean And Professional.
Their Team Installed All The Ductwork And Ventilation To My New Build House With 2 Variable Speed Communicating Systems American Standard Brand With 2 Zone Systems On Each Unit And 6 Thermostats.
I Could Not Be More Happier For The Work And Service They Provided Not Only The Installation Crew But Their Service And Maintenance Team.
Al was...relentless is the correct adjective...his first trip in figuring out what was wrong after a previous very competent maintenance individual had put in a new compressor and new A/C closet parts and the A/C still didn't work. He again was relentless the next day in figuring out why, after the cooling he'd achieved the first trip, the thermostat and indoor fan weren't doing A/C vent flow shutdown once the 79 target temperature had been achieved. Others might have been stumped. So ended 156 rather miserable hours of lost A/C during the streak of 100+ weather, Austin summer 2022, with indoor afternoon maximums reaching 86-92 and early morning minimums bottoming at 83-85 despite a portable A/C unit really only effective for a small work and sleep area. Thus yielding a very grateful resident.
I couldn't be happier with the service we continue to have with HVAC Express. They are our Go To people when we have any issue with our system. Quick, thorough, and reasonably priced. An excellent company to do business with.
