Leanne and Jim are amazing! We have a 3 month old and our heat went out over night. We woke up to the house being 60-degrees. Leanne and Jim have helped us out in the past, so I gave Leanne a call at 7am thinking they would be getting back to me later in the morning. Not only did Leanne answer but she remembered that we had a young child at the house and made this a top priority. Jim was at our house fixing our furnace before 8am. I cannot say this enough, but I highly recommend them for all of your HVAC needs.

Jim and his team were excellent to work with. I'm an Architect and have worked with many contractors, and these guys were downright excellent. Everyone was polite, prompt, and the pricing was very good. We'll use them again in the future, without hesitation.
Leading Edge is the best HVAC service in the Madison area. Their quote to change out our 1978 furnace, add AC, and do extensive ductwork into 3 rooms was very reasonable. The service was professional, friendly, reliable, and on time. They worked well with our general contractor as extensive renovations were in progress. They also stood by their work and came back to make requested modifications. We highly recommend them to friends, neighbors and family. Jeff R.

This is Chuck McGinnis, President of Yahara Place Condominiums. One of our residents had a real problem on their hands. I have personally known Jim Nichols-Owner of Leading Edge for over 22 years. I encouraged Jay and Sue Pendleton to call Jim. Here is their review "At the peak of Summer heat, our 20 year old central air-conditioning system failed. We contacted our always reliable HVAC repair company. Their technician identified the problem and assured me he would return that afternoon to install the necessary replacement parts. Instead, the company notified me that the parts were no longer available and it would require 5 weeks to acquire and modify a suitable replacement piece. Leading Edge HVAC was then contacted. Their technician verified the previously diagnosed problem. Within hours Leading Edge identified an out of state supplier and had arranged for express shipping of an original replacement component. Upon the arrival of the parts, the technician returned and quickly and successfully installed them after having to physically break the malfunctioning components from the aging thru-wall system. Amazing response turning potentially five weeks without AC to only 72 hours! The invoice was a surprise. It was almost exactly half what the first HVAC company had quoted. We called Jim when our new AC unit was blowing but not cooling, about a month into our first season of use. He came right out the next morning, arriving exactly at the time he said he would. He had the problem diagnosed and fixed within 20 minutes. He taught us about the problem with the unit, showing and explaining exactly what happened with earwigs and a frog getting into the capacitor. He took great care of us. I enthusiastically recommend his services.
Jim and his guy's were awesome. 2 weeks ago I had the yellow truck guys out and all they could say is you need a new system. Never heard anything more. Jim from Leading Edge came out last week and got me through the heat last weekend and then today replaced my AC system for a fraction of the others. I will call Leading Edge for all my HVAC work from now on and you should too. ONTIME, PROFESSIONAL, GREAT PRICES WITH QUALITY WORK.
I just had a central air system installed in my older home and I am so happy that I found Leading Edge to do the work. Jim is professional, knowledgeable and easy to work with. Jim assessed the needs of our home before suggesting an AC of a lower tonnage than what we had, since we didn't need a 2.5 ton air conditioner. He also recommended a couple of other changes to the HVAC system of our aging home. He patiently explained the technical details in answer to my many questions, drawing on years of teaching experience. The installation went smoothly, and the installers even removed the old air conditioner from under the deck. We would heartily recommend the services of Leading Edge to others.
An overall great experience. I called a few different places for replacing the heater, and Leading Edge was one of the less expensive options and had great reviews. Jim was very communicative and sympathetic throughout the process. The install was smooth and I've had no issues since.
I just had my furnace and air conditioner replaced by Leading Edge last week. I did a great deal of research, and got 3 other estimates prior to meeting Jim (the owner). He and his staff are prompt, professional, and knowledgeable. Jim took the time to answer all of my questions, and the installation went smoothly. The cost was also significantly less than the other estimates we got for the same type of equipment, etc. I strongly recommend Leading Edge for any type of HVAC services you need!

Yesterday I had General Heating and Cooling tell me that I needed to replace my AC unit. Called Leading Edge and Jim, the owner, stopped the next day. Not only did he tell me I did not need to replace the unit, he fixed in on the spot for a very reasonable price. He has my business and hopefully you will give him your business too!
I've been meaning to write a review since last season when Jim (the owner of Leading Edge HVAC) helped me out. Not only was he the fastest to respond, his quote for a new air-conditioner was among the most reasonable. He was helpful, professional, knowledgeable and proficient...a real pleasure to work with. Jim with Leading Edge was incredibly easy to work with. He came to provide us with a quote which we received timely after his initial visit. He was willing to work with us in regards to financing that met our needs. He is great at communication, many times responding to emails the same day or within 24 hours. Leading Edge saved us! Last summer, our old air conditioner finally bit the dust - and Jim came right away during a heat wave and put in an outstanding new air conditioner, in the tightest of spaces. It was not an easy task, but he got the job done - and then he saw that we needed a new furnace, which he also replaced. He saved us twice - during extreme summer heat and then during an extremely bitter cold winter during the Polar Vortex that we had last winter. There was a minor problem after the installation of the air conditioner, but Jim came right away to fix it and it has been working very well ever since. Jim is a hero and his services are outstanding.
My AC unit was not keeping the house cool. Called Jim and he came on the same day and even a few minutes earlier than he said he would. He quickly determined and fixed the problem.
