Our early experience wasn't so good, but we subscribe to their service plan which includes a pretty thorough annual inspection and service. This year (2023) our Serviceman, Ken Sullivan, reset the bar for quality service. He was very knowledgeable about our system, took his time to be sure everything was running at optimum efficiency, suggested and installed a couple of options to enhance our air quality, and adjusted our settings to make maximum use of them. He is definitely the best! Thanks Ken.

Miller’s installed a new heat pump and thermostat at my house last summer replacing a ~15 year old system. Everything started fine, until I discovered they scratched my car all the way through the primer after insisting it didn’t need to be moved. They DID offer to pay to have it repaired IF I provided multiple quotes to do so. Then, come January we discovered our thermostat had been programmed incorrectly causing our heating bill - from a brand new, energy efficient heat pump - to TRIPLE. Fortunately, I noticed the energy usage before racking up several months worth of those bills. They came back out and reprogrammed it after I insisted there was a problem and it wasn’t just “seasonal change”. I’m glad so many people have had wonderful experiences, it just wasn’t ours.

I hired Miller's Heating and Air to replace my ancient natural gas furnace with an electric heat pump, and it was an excellent experience. Brian R did a wonderful job explaining what the project would look like, presented me with a couple of options, and kept me updated on the availability of the unit i selected until install day. Install day was a blitz of install and electrical work, and the heat pump was up and running at the end of it. In full disclosure, i had a quote from another contractor for quite a bit less (albeit with a different heat pump model, possibly lower quality than the Mitsubishi I ended up going with), but ultimately went with Miller's because of how thoroughly the project was explained and details provided. Note: We're a COVID-conscious household and staff happily wore the K/N95 masks I provided for working inside the home, which was a *huge* relief and much appreciated.

Disclaimer: My four-star is not a comment on the team, but on the management that didn't support the field team by getting them additional help when circumstances changed. Support your workers properly! Chad and his young apprentice did a truly fantastic job under some deeply rough circumstances. What originally showed up as a crew of four shrunk to a crew of two a few hours in, as one had to leave due to a prior injury. Not sure what happened to the other one. That'd normally make me a little skeptical, but Chad and his apprentice worked over 11 hours straight to get my full HVAC system replaced in a single day. They arrived a little after 8AM, and left at 7:30pm, exhausted but having done amazing work. Throughout the quote process, James was really good about explaining things and working with me to understand what I was purchasing, and I ended up with a very satisfactory conclusion to the deeply unwelcome problem of needing to replace the whole HVAC right at the beginning of summer. Great job onsite team, but to restate: management should support their crews better when field issues happen. Have some slack in the schedule so that others can help out, rather than asking the crew to violate regulations by overworking.
