My furnace stopped working. I called McFarland Heating at 8am and spoke to Andy. He had Joe and Zack come out when they were finished with they're other job. They called me at 10 and told me that they were on they're way. They arrived at our house at 10:45 and were finished by noon. I'm very pleased with the service we received. I will definitely be calling them for future hvac services, and will refer them to anyone that needs services. They are very responsive, honest, and reasonably priced.

These guys rock! They installed my furnace and then came back to install a heat pump a couple years later. Also had them out to do some service. Every time the communication is easy. They show up and get done exactly what they say. They do a great job. I highly recommend and will keep using them. Great dudes.

Very nice people to work with. They drove all the way out to Gold Bar for a service call that shouldn’t have even been their problem and probably wasn’t worth their valuable time. Will definitely be using them for future, larger projects. Be sure to give them a call if you want efficient, quality service.

Not more than 3 mins after seeing my furnace reset, they already had a good idea on what was wrong. By min 5, things were confirmed, and min 6, all fixed. I can't say good enough things about how responsive, and effective they were at fixing my issue (during the ice storm!). You can't replace the depth of experience and dedication these folks have. It reminds me of the adage of paying for someone because they know where to tap the hammer. These folks know where to "tap the hammer"; and they're incredibly good value for money as well.

These guys may be the last honest buisiness out there. Had a couple other HVAC companies to the house and they all told me I needed a new furnace and duct work totaling 13 grand and a $250 service call. Joe and his Nephew refuted all that and did a little maintenance and didn’t charge me a dime! Said I could use a furnace but ducts were just fine. $5,100 to replace furnace with them. $8,500 with the other companies. Just call this excellent family company.

We wanted to replace our 26 year old furnace before the cold season, called 3-4 different places and decided on McFarland Heating and Air. They answer the phone right away, were able to provide accurate prices over the phone, they came out and looked at the existing furnace and put us on the schedule for that same week. They replaced our furnace with a new one at a very reasonable price, with a 20 year warranty. They were polite and professional, they cleaned up the work mess after themselves before they left.

I was not happy to discover my furnace was not working during our first very cold few nights. I called a few different HVAC companies, many were not available, and some were downright rude. McFarland was truly wonderful to work with from my initial call to their final invoice. They were prompt, courteous, knowledgeable, reasonable, and very communicative. I will only use them for HVAC needs, including maintenance, in the future.

I've received outstanding service from Howard and his brother. Howard has been to my house to fix issues with my old system and then to support my new system that his brother installed (the new issue was unrelated to the HVAC). The new installation was professionally done and competitively priced.

I called McFarland because my furnace was short cycling. They were able to come the next day and run a few tests to pin point the issue. My Nest thermostat was the cause. I researched the issue and found this is a very common problem for Nest thermostats when there isn't a common wire, which is the case in my house. There were many false and expensive rabbit trails the diagnostics could have gone down. The experience and honesty of McFarland was extremely helpful. Thank you!!

Do you prefer to support a local family-owned business which is cost-effective and reliable? I chose McFarland for replacing my 29 year old furnace because they had repaired it a year earlier and I knew I could rely on them putting in just the right new one!

We had Andy our to our home today for a maintenance check of our AC and heat pump, he was on time, friendly, and reasonably priced. I liked that Andy answered his phone instantly when I dialed the phone number on google maps, also that he was able to put me on the schedule just two days later. Andy personally showed me how to clean the outside unit (he cleaned it out) and informed why it was important, which the company we used last year failed to show me or do! I will definitely call Andy again next year for servicing or any other heating/cooling issues in the future.

My furnace suddenly stopped working, the temperature outside was dropping, and I have a 1 year old kid. Being without heat wasn't an option. I called another company first - the company who installed the furnace when my house was built - since their stickers were all over my furnace. The next available time they had to service my furnace was 5 days away. Which was a Saturday. Which not only meant 5 days with no heat, but also meant inflated Saturday call-out prices. 5 days with no heat and a 1 year old couldn't happen. I found McFarland Heating and Air from a Google search. When I saw on their website that all three McFarlands have their cell phone numbers listed on their contacts page, I thought, "That's accountability right there." If you're willing to give your cell phone number to your customers, then you must really stand behind your work, and you must be honest. Anyways, I called them and they said that they could be out at 10am the next morning (it was 3pm when I called so I didn't realistically expect to get same day service for a non emergency). Andy and Joe showed up the next morning at 9:55. They diagnosed the problem and, long story short and put simply, they gave me 3 options. 1. Quick cheap fix but another part may break at any time. 2.Cheap fix plus replace that other part making this a more expensive option but will hopefully get a few more years out of the furnace. 3. Replace the furnace - obviously the most expensive option. I felt that Andy was honest when discussing the pros and cons of the options. He was also straightforward and he was not at all pressuring me into the most expensive option. I ended up going with option 2. My furnace is pushing 15 years old. So I know it's only a matter of time before the thing needs to be replaced. And when that time comes I'll definitely be calling McFarland to do it.
