Phillip with American Mechanical did a great job for me today. He solved problems with toilets, hot water heaters, and outdoor faucets. I am extremely pleased!
Great service as always. Explained my options and didn’t push for a costly repair without seeing if the easy fix will rectify the situation. Always happy with the service and professionalism.
Dennis came out on time for a semi- annual HVAC system check and maintenance. He is very nice, professional and engaging. During his checks of one of the systems he found a coolant leak and has ordered a replacement part, which is still under warranty. I appreciate Dennis' thoroughness and professionalism.

Outstanding! Ray came to take care of a leak in one the bathrooms. We discussed options regarding the issues with my old toilets in the other bathrooms and I felt comfortable with the solution. Ray has worked on previous plumbing issues I’ve had and he is always helpful, knowledgeable, super nice, and does great work!!
Save yourself time, money, and the headache! Just call them first! Paul came out and did not quit until he fixed the issue. Paid almost the same the day before with NO results. Paul was absolutely amazing! Very knowledgeable, strategic, and friendly. Can’t recommend him more!
AC system went down. Called American Mechanical, Drew came and checked system. Noticed drain line was clogged. Semi annual service less than 4 weeks ago, serviceman never checked drain lines. Simple fix that should have never happened. Proper training would have helped.
Dan Steele and Josh and Matt from American Mechanical were truly professional, knowledgeable, and thorough. They explained everything and ensure eveey question was answered. I highly recommend this team for your generator needs.
Brian did a great job of explaining all the aspects of the generator install. Accepted the deal and the unit will be installed in the next few weeks.

Lucius Woods called prior to arriving within a 15 minute time frame. He researched and diagnosed the issue with the Trane thermostat being off line. After conducting several tests, all systems were back functioning normally. Very pleasant experience. Thanks
Jason did a fantastic job diagnosing the problem and replacing my hot water heater. He and his helper were courteous and professional, the price was not outrageous and the cleanup was very good. The majority of American Mechanical's service techs who have come to my house have been professional, courteous, pleasant, and willing to share their knowledge with me to understand what needs fixing, and how, and why. I hold Ed Stonich, Plumbing Specialist, and Tim Hatfield, HVAC Specialist in highest regard for their expertise and people skills. They,,-and most others from American Mechanical, have made me feel secure in recent years, and currently, about the plumbing and HVAC systems in my 42 year old home in VA Beach. The office staff and department managers are outstanding in their customer service and people skills, further enhancing American Mechanical's reputation for excellence.
As always, American Mechanical took care of our routine maintenance professionally and Preston was thorough and explained everything going on - very glad we have him doing our routine maintenance on our generator, we are confident it will be at the ready when needed.
The tech was great, however the dispatchers sent him to 3 other jobs before mine and so he arrived a few minutes before 5 when my appt window was from noon to 2. He quickly realized he needed to talk to tech support but by then it was after hours and so tech support and the scheduling center were closed. Had to pay 85 dollars for what I already knew and then nearly 500 dollars just to have another tech come out (at an unknown time) and call tech support back. Hopefully I can update this review if things go smoother.
Dennis was very friendly and helpful! He explained everything and offered more than 1 option! He was also VERY punctual and great with having my kids around!
Drew is a highly professional tech who was willing to explain everything he was doing and what he was seeing while working on our AC problem. No pushy sales, and clearly explained his recommendations and why he was recommending them. American Mechanical will be on the top of my list to call for issues in the future
Paul provided estimate on some plumbing work. He was very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. Brandon replaced our thermostat. He also provided great service and was very friendly. Highly satisfied with American Mechanical.
