We suddenly had no AC just as the heat wave hit SLC. The reviews for Scott Hale were good so we went with them. The news was just about as bad as it could’ve been. We elected to have the old AC replaced, instead of worked on. I felt like Tyler was honest and professional, and have good answers to our questions. Installation is tomorrow, more to follow. So after a crazy day, Jesse and Adrian of Scott Hale Air Conditioning were so awesome. Super patient, answered a ton of my questions, and very easy to work with. They did a great quality job, were super neat as they did their work, and were very professional. I would highly recommend them and the company. AC is rocking now. Take that, summer.

Avoid this company at all costs and DO NOT BUY THE SERVICE PLAN! If you call them know that their first priority is to sell you something, not to fix the issue. I have worked in sales for decades and can immediately detect a slimy salesperson when I see one. I had Andrew, my HVAC tech out to my house to perform an AC and Furnace tuneup. The technician found a leak and recommended a repair. I agreed and he made the repair. Andrew then stated that if I purchased the service plan, he could save me 10% on my bill. I am extremely careful with my finances and asked him how long after I could cancel the plan, he responded “1 month”. I confirmed him with this again as I was surprised and he confirmed I could cancel after 1 month. I agreed, paid my bill and he left. This was in early June. I called this morning a month later to cancel the service plan subscription. A representative named “Tiffany” told me that I had to wait at least 6 months to cancel. I told her that the service technician said I could cancel after 1 month and she said she would look into it. I received an email back saying that the manager asked my sales technician Andrew and Andrew told him that “he provided a copy of this service agreement to everyone”. No refund offered and nothing that can be done. I have to now cancel my credit card and get a new number so that they can’t pull money from my account. I never received or signed this “contract” that was “provided” to me. I am 100% sure if this. Simply put, Andrew was trying to close a sale of a service contract and lied about the terms and conditions in order for me to agree. Working in the banking world, this would results in lawsuits, fines, and sales malpractice laws being broken. Scott Hale Plumbing is not an honest company, I would stay away from them with a 10 foot pole if you know what’s good for you. Just for reference on how they try to sell/inflate prices. I was quoted $4,200 for a water heater… that is ridiculous! I got it done for $1,100 wit

We had Justin and another associate from Scott Hale come out to replace our AC and furnace. They did excellent work and worked quickly in the almost 100 degree heat, which we were grateful for. My only disappointment was that they scratched up my wall and floor when they removed the old system, which I now have to fix. They also got rust from the old unit on my carpet, which hopefully I can remove. I didn't notice this until after they had left. In the future, I wish they would be more careful and not cause damage to my house.

Repair professionals were polite. However communication with dispatch was consistently poor. It took three attempts to get someone out to look at my AC system, a service included in the their membership plan- which I was enrolled in at the time. One of these attempts was a no-show no-call. Last summer, Scott Hale inspected my AC unit and charged me to refill the refrigerant tank and give the system a tune up. This summer I discovered my AC not working properly (due to, yet again, an empty refrigerant tank). I called in an HVAC person from a different company and they quickly diagnosed and fixed a crack in my refrigerant tank, which was somehow missed by Scott Hale.

Garret was our hero. Came out after hours to help get our AC working before the brutal heat got too bad. He was knowledgeable, prompt, prepared and got us the fix needed. He also set us up for a follow up before he left. Can’t recommend him and Scott Hale enough. We will never use anyone else.

Great experience with Scott Hale. Jesse B. was so friendly and easy to communicate with. He kindly explained why our disposal was leaking and why the water heater expansion tank should be replaced.
