Great work, exceptional value. Eric was able to overcome every obstacle that replacing my 1997 busted unit threw at him. Not to mention the death defying stunts required to accomplish as much for a very old apartment that was not designed for repairmen to access the roof.

Horrible customer service. My home warranty company sent them out to fix my AC. They told us there was an electrical issue and and we needed that fixed before they could come out and diagnose and repair the problem (tech turns of the breaker) Electrical was fixed, and a tech from the AC comes back out flips on the breaker and says ‘your AC is fixed’ we tried explaining to him that our problem still needs to be diagnosed and fixed and could he do that. He was very rude and said ‘that’s not my job, I’m not here to diagnose anything, I turned the breaker on and AC is powered up so I’m done’ Basically we are back to square 1, the initial problem has still not been fixed. I called the home warranty company to complain, and they set up another service call. I called stacks heating and air to set up the appointment and the lady who answered the phone got upset when I mentioned that the work hadn’t been done and we need someone to come out again. Overall a very bad experience. They seem to like taking short cuts and don’t care if customer is happy or not. Seems like home warranty companies use them so they are getting customers regardless of their behavior and service. I’m still waiting for someone from their office to contact me and set up a third service call. I will write an update to this review once they’ve been back.

Very nice people on the phone and in person but I would not recommend them to anyone. Warranty company gave me their info so I set the appointment. Tech came out to address the breaker tripping and he never pulled out a volt meter. He recommended I clean my coil in the attic which might address the tripping issue. Tech left and I called back to schedule the cleaning and no one ever came. I was told by a woman that the tech would come out on 3 different occasions and no one ever showed, no call back, nothing. I got a second opinion and the new company diagnosed the bad compressor in under 5 minutes which was obvious by this point do to the grinding sound coming from the unit. Stacks poor service missed out on some business as I went ahead and had my outside unit replaced.

Summary: our Home Warranty Company approved the replacement of our failed mini-split a/c-heat unit. Our first contact with Stacks Heating & Air Conditioning to schedule an appointment to replace our failed mini-split unit was on Monday, 10/15/18. Replacement unit was finally operational on Monday, 11/26/18, six weeks later. Stacks Technician condemned unit on 9/20/18. Home Warranty Company approved replacement on 9/28/18 while we were out of town. Spoke with Eric Stacks on Monday, 10/15/18, to initiate installation. Eric said replacement unit had been delivered and installation would be on 10/17/18. No one showed up that day and no one would answer phone calls for two days to discuss status. Home Warranty Company had to contact Stacks and ask them to return my calls. Technician now scheduled for 10/22/18. Technician did not have all of the parts he needed. Returned 10/24/18. As soon as technician turned power on, unit went “poof” and smoke came out. Stacks was trying to install a 115v unit instead of 230v like the original. When 230v was connected to 115v, big problem! Home Warranty Company said they would provide a 230v unit if Stacks requested one – latter never did. Replacement saga went on and on always with great difficulty having Stacks return my calls. The limited review space here won’t let me give day by day details that finally led to a 115v unit (instead of a 230v like original) being installed on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving deadline for company arriving. Unit wouldn’t work. Eric Stacks came out the Monday after Thanksgiving and got unit running – six weeks after first contact. One of the biggest issues was getting Stacks to communicate with us and tell us status. They simply would not answer their phones. Very disappointing.

It's hard to give a rating when they never showed up. I filed a claim on Wednesday with my home warranty company for an A/C issue and it was assigned to Stack's, who I called on Thursday when they didn't call me to set up a time. I was told Eric would arrive between 3-5 pm on Friday. At 4:30 i checked in with their office and was told it would be closer to 6:15. At 8:00 pm there was no answer at the office but the greeting left an additional phone to call. I called it and that turned out to be Eric's cell number. He said he didn't know I was on his call list for that day. He promised to be there the next morning (Saturday) between 9-10 am. At 10 am I left him a voicemail and text message. I didn't hear back from him by noon, so I called Home Warranty and got my claim switched to another HVAC company, which by the way, called me on Monday morning and showed up the SAME DAY. Stack's needs to find a way to stick to a schedule and live up to their commitments. And when something happens to cause a delay, inform the client!

Brian came out to check our unit through AHS. Was one of the most professional contractors AHS has sent. He ran behind on a previous job and someone actually called and let us know before their scheduled time to come. After he arrived he was very thorough with the unit and exhausted all possible efforts to get it going but nothing he could do about the bad compressor of a 20yo unit. Would use them and recommend Brian and Stacks AC even after or without a home warranty.

I had issues up my air conditioning and called Stacks. Brian came out and found the issue and explained everything to me. He also showed me in the attic if anyone has ever looked at the evaporator coil. Brian was very considerate and very professional.. I would definitely use Stacks again and I highly recommend them.

Horrible customer service. Eric and his staff's lack of willingness to help and always trying to sell on other items other than what is actually needed is really disturbing! We had to call another company out to clean up Stack's mess and they fixed it in the first try! We sued Stack's Heating and Air and won the case. Now, they are refusing to answer any calls, texts, or emails. If I could give a negative star, I would! Other reviews on Yelp help tell the story of how this company really is.

Can't say enough about the level of service provided by Eric and Paige at Stacks Air Conditioning. When we purchased our home, the original AC system from 1993 was intact (and not doing so well). We've called Eric on three occasions, ranging from a new capacitor to a new compressor. Paige has always found time for us in the schedule and Eric does great work. Highly recommend giving them a call for you heating and A/C needs.

I have been using Stacks since 2013, when Eric the owner took my call late on a Friday and promised he would be out to my house no matter what time it was. Eric showed up at 9:00 PM on a,weekday and fixed my A/C and got it cooling again and then came back after the diagnosis and replaced the parts that were the culprit. Since then Eric and Paige have replaced my furnace, a condensor, replaced all my duct work and done it all on time and beat everyone's price. I trust Stacks, in my home and have recommended to other neighbors who have also appreciated the service and honesty Stacks brings to the table when you need your Heating and or A/C looked at. I rarely have used anyone else in 4 years, once a while they get really busy and I have called another contractor, but Stacks is my preferred HVAC company when I want good quality and excellent service at a competitive price.
