Our a/c unit failed a couple of weeks after moving in to our new townhome and was blowing only warm air on Friday evening. Douglas Mech was extremely responsive and out at our place to repair the unit the very next morning. The tech (Eric) was extremely helpful and professional, and had our unit pumping out cold air in under 30min. Great service and 10/10 would recommend these guys to anyone else

I requested service through my home warranty, as others have stated, and was assigned Douglas Mechanical. I was told someone would be here between 8am and 2pm. I called around 12:30pm when I hadn't heard from anyone and was informed I was next on the techs list. At 3pm I still hadn't heard from anyone so I called again. Again, I was told I was next up. I asked it they could reach out to the technician for an ETA and was told my information would be passed along and the tech may or may not reach out. At 6:19PM the tech called me to inform me that he would be here in an hour and 15 min! I spent my entire day at home waiting for the technician to come. A simple text or phone call with an ETA would have sufficed and I could have gotten other things done that needed to be done. I understand jobs running long but that's where communication comes into play. Why give a time frame at all if the time slot is not going to be adhered to?
Douglas Mechanical A/C & Heating is a great company to work with. They installed a new unit for us last year and are always prompt and responsive to our needs.

114 degree heat in the beautiful city of Houston and this company had a technician out within a day, Eric, my new hero. Methodically and quickly checked everything, detected and wow, resolved the problem. His explanations were thorough and honest, like talking with a family member. Maybe better. Great experience, highly recommend.
The tech Kyle was very professional and knowledgeable regarding our AC issue. The dispatcher was honest, courteous and advised me of how long it may take for the tech to arrive since they had so many calls. But it wasn’t much longer for Kyle to arrive and he fixed the issue got it working properly and also gave us information and tips on what we need to do next .
This company was chosen by my home warranty (1st American). It's took them 3 visits to determine the problem. Once they did, they ask me to make a payment upfront to continue with the repairs, which I did. After that, I did not hear from them for 14 days. I called their office several times, and they keep telling me they will have a manager call me with updates, THEY NEVER CALLED. Not even a 30-second follow call. Zero Communication after I paid. Meanwhile, I called another AC repair company for a second opinion. They found the real issue and fixed it for 300 dollars the same day. Douglas mechanic misdiagnosed the problem and tried to charge me 1200 dollars. Unacceptable!! Before all that, they did their best to sell me a new unit. So i'm not sure if that's how they treat all their customers or only customers that come through the warranty. I even attempted to go to their physical location to get my refund, and it was not accessible. After a few more calls, they ended up refunding me my money. A simple follow-up call or a call back to acknowledge a customer and let them know we did not forget about you go's a long way.
So very thorough and professional. The technicians were clean and curteous. Couldnt ask for better service from beginning to end.

Had our annual a/c tune-up, Dennis was the tech that worked on our system. He was knowledgeable, friendly and gave helpful advise a great experience.
I had another company come out and "fix" our ac. Well they only made it worse. We got Douglas Mechanical out and they had us back up in a few hours when we had been told we need a new unit.
This was sent out to fix my A/C units by my warranty company and they too care of the problem and got my units back working very fact in February 2023. My units went out again and I called my warranty company requesting they send Douglas Mechanical out again since the were the last ones out. The wouldn’t not send them, instead the sent another company and they didn’t do anything and a week later I had to call the warranty company again and insisted again and the sent a 2nd call option request so this company can fix my units. I will give you all the warranty company information after I get my A/C back working. I told them I would cancel them after my systems are fix.
