These guys are the best! My good friend recommended MD to me and now I get to recommend them to you. Great customer service, extremely communicative, and they don’t try to sell you anything you don’t need.
MD Air is a wonderful company to work with. The service representatives are knowledgable, capable, thoughtful and polite. The ownership is honest and care about their customers. I have known the owners over 15 years and they have always demonstrated integrity in their business. I had a very old AC system that was beyond last breath, but they managed to keep it going for several years. When I did get a new AC/Heating system, they gave me a great price and their installation was painless for us.

We had to have our entire system replaced, including the air handler and ducts. Dan and his crew arrived on time, explained the process and set to work. At the end of the first day, they cleaned everything up, and left. The second day they finished on time and spent a great deal of time cleaning and making sure we were happy. The system works flawlessly! Thank you MD Air Conditioning and Heating!
Good service and very professional BUT... They CHARGED OVER $350 to replace a run capacitor. I understand that these types of pro services are expensive, but they shouldn't be excessive. I should have comparison shopped, but after the fact I talked to several local companies and I could have saved a ton had I checked earlier. Again, good service, but VERY disappointed at the ridiculously high prices. Save yourself some money and shop around.
After a Friday night A/C failure, we were so thankful the Martin from MD Air Conditioning was able to come out Saturday. He was friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Our air conditioning was up and running within an hour of his arrival!! We definitely know who to call for any future HVAC issues.
I had heard from a neighbor that they were excellent in taking out old duct work and replacing with new duct work. They also replaced all my vents. My wife and I were extremely happy with MD Air and their work ethic. All 3 workers were on time, cleaned up after themselves and just very cordial in our dealings. I would recommend them to anyone doing duct work, either replacing or fixing current. Good quality company. Fair pricing and excellent work. A fantastic technician by the name of Keith came out and diagnosed the problem which was a simple matter of air flow. He was extremely thorough and knowledgeable in his explanation and gave me a simple suggestion which I did myself with great result. He also offered a plan B is plan A didn’t work. The visit was $59 and will worth it. I will reach out to MD air for any further AC/heating needs. Trustworthy and honest business that didn’t try to stick it to me. Will-Fit-It once quoted me a price of $5000 to fix the same problem.
Finally writing a review about our consistently positive experiences with MD. We have appreciated every aspect of their service from scheduling to dispatching knowledgeable professionals. MD has resolved every issue with our AC/heating systems to our satisfaction. On this Sunday morning, I woke up to a warm bedroom and realized the condenser fan was not functioning. I called MD before 8 am, and even without leaving a message I received a return call just minutes later. The technician was at my house before 12 pm, and he quickly diagnosed the issue as a faulty capacitor that was installed just 4 months ago. I was only charged for labor and not for the higher-quality replacement capacitor. I was grateful for the prompt, professional Sunday morning service.
This company saved us having to replace a unit after being told by a different company our compressor was dead...turns out that the fan had been unplugged...MD fixed it and gave us a fair estimate on a replacement unit ( the original reason I called). I will be having them do our replacement soon, our unit is old and upgrading in efficiency will be worth it. His honesty and knowledge has made me a permanent customer!
Our AC system had been giving us trouble. After trying a part time AC guy twice, who did more damage then good, We asked around and MD Air Conditioning was recommended. They came out to the house, gave everything a good look and told me that our AC system had died a most violent death. ( my words not, theirs ) I asked for a quote for a replacement system and was received one on the spot. After the wife got home that evening we had more questions called them and everything was answered to our satisfaction plus. I asked when this could be done and they had an opening the next day. Arrived by 10 AM, and replaced outside unit, inside unit, all new copper lines, new thermostat, and we gone by 4 PM with the house cooling down nicely. Both Tech were courteous and professional at all times, answered all my questions even when they had to stop work to discuss. It's hard to find a quality company who will tell you the truth up front, make a quote and never any additions or hidden fees. They got it right the first time. Quick, dependable service and fair prices. We just purchased our forever home and the AC system went wonky a week later. Keith came out to check it making sure nothing was a fire hazard, and showed me what was wrong, giving us three different options for repair. After deciding on a plan the technicians were onsite the next morning at the promised time and left when everything was fully resolved, making sure I was aware of all work done and full explanation. this was our second time to use them and both times have been a standard other companies in San Antonio should follow. MD Air did a fantastic job on our duct work, new dampers, and new insulation. Daniel's team is very clean, they worked quickly, we weren't without AC or heat for an extended period of time, and they were very respectful of our home. We also got the new filtration system and have already noticed a difference less than one week later!
I called at 8:00am this morning and service man was at my door at 9:30 am! The problem was quickly identified, part was replaced and all service complete by 11:00. Service was great and the ac is blowing cold.
Had Dan and team replace our old AC system after a fair estimate was given. Team was on time and nice guys overall. A little mix-up of ordering the wrong unit during the install was corrected by Dan the same day, and the team got us a new unit installed and cooling by early evening. Less than 2 weeks later we had another unit go out...so Dan offered a deal for this 2nd install and the guys repeated their efforts with no issues. I'd certainly call MD Air Conditioning again without issue.
Thank you Joe for coming out same day and helping me and finding my new AIr Conditioners problem. After weeks of dealing with a new install unfortunately from another company, who wouldnt come out and help. MD Air conditioning figured out the problem. Joe was great, and was determined to help me. He showed me where the other company did shoddy work, let me know what my best options to correct it, and his troubleshooting skills were superior. He at one point said he would research it overnight if he had to. With their great rates, great communication, speedy response, and expert technical skills.... I wont use anyone else again. If you want excellent service , skilled technical support , and a HVAC company that you can always depend on , look no further than MD AC. I would give them 10 stars if the rating scale went that high !
What a great experience and that's not something I would usually say when I have someone coming to fix something in my house! ;) Joe is awesome and definitely knows what he is doing! He was patient and knowledgeable and took the time to make sure everything was good to go and to answer any questions I had ( and I had many lol). Great company that is lucky to have someone like Joe! :)
