We have utilized Air Specialist since we bought our home in 2006. We recommend the biannual tune up that they offer. Recently, our AC started faltering. It was one thing after another in a short period and of course the temps have been above 100 degrees. Each time we were able to get appointments within 24 hours. Unfortunately we had to replace our systems. They always offer financing options. Install was performed within 24 hours. We had some issues (contractor not Air Specialist) and this was also addressed quickly and to our satisfaction.
I am extremely satisfied with the service provided by Air Specialists. Their salesman, Kyle Cude, is an amazing guy who always worked with me throughout the entire installation process. Whenever I reach out to him, he promptly answers my calls and addresses any concerns I have. Once the AC and heating systems are installed, they consistently honor the warranty and provide exceptional support. I am especially impressed with Mr. Matt, the supervisor, as he is always available whenever I need anything or encounter any issues. Air Specialists truly go above and beyond in standing behind their work. I am incredibly grateful that I chose them for my 5 ton AC/Heat unit; they are undoubtedly the best in town and their commitment to the warranty and customer satisfaction is remarkable. I previously had challenges with a component on a new install failing early (less than 9 months). Initially it didn't appear that Air Specialist were going to provide support. However, after posting, Air Specialist reached out and admitted a computer system error caused some confusion. They quickly got the issue resolved. The Techs were very knowledgeable and they rushed to order the part. In less than a week after reaching out we were up and running again. Mistakes happen, but not every company owns up to them and then goes out of the way to make it right. I have updated my review and appreciate Air Specialist work here.

We contacted air specialist when looking to replace the HVAC and ducts in our newly purchased home. We had many questions along the way, but Jeff and his team were able to answer any and all questions with thoughtfulness and honesty. It’s hard to find contractors that you truly trust and we lucked out with them and Jeff. I would recommend them over and over again. Thanks a ton!
I setup an appointment for a tune up maintenance check and was told 1 hour before the technician was too arrive that I was being canceled because it wasn't a priority because air conditioning outages were more important. I wasted a day from work. Very unprofessional
UPDATE: After all of the below, three total burned out compressors later, and weeks without A/C the company sent out a different manager to evaluate the situation. He indicated the problem was not the return air but rather the copper line installed was the wrong diameter for this unit. This was the first we had heard of this. He proceeded to change out the copper line and replace the entire outside unit free of charge. Everything has worked great since. I am leaving a three star review, because in the end the company did the right thing, which honestly most companies don't. That said, the route to get there was brutal and appears to have stemmed from an improper initial installation. _________________________________________________ We hired Air Specialist to replace our 15 year old, working but ageing, A/C system in August 2020. The experience at the time was fine. Unfortunately, less than a year later the compressor went out. The technician who diagnosed the issue indicated the unit was installed improperly and there was not sufficient return air for the new unit. He made some suggestions to add a new return air, but indicated he really needed a manager to take a look to decide where it should go. He indicated it would be several days to receive the compressor and they would contact me when it arrives. I was not offered a portable A/C unit by the technician, but I did call and ask for one and appreciate that it was provided as I was without A/C for 4 days. After he left, I received an emailed quote for $1200 to install an additional return air. I called their office and asked for a manager to come out to make sure this is what was needed to be done. I was assured someone would call me back shortly. After 2 days of not hearing anything, I called back and spoke to a manager at the office, who assured my they would be coming tomorrow to replace my compressor and a manager would come check the return air situation. The manager did come but the air wasn't working, so
I guess since the project was less than a thousand dollars they completely ignored me, the guy said he was going to transfer me to scheduling and nobody answered, I left a message with my number, and they never called me back. Unprofessional.
I paid to have two units get a checkup and they tell me when they get here they only check the air conditioning and that they won't check the freon levels because the outside temps were below 75 degrees celsius. It's a little shady to come on a day you can't do the servicing.
Free estimate sounds good until the price to perform the repair exceeds the going rate by 3 times the amount. $686 for a main valve replacement. Location is very easily accessible from a standing position - should be no more than 1 hour labor plus the part (spoiler alert it is between $20-$40 at U-Plumb It on Montrose). Call Anna there and she will give you several honest plumbers who will properly price the job.
I was in need of a major air conditioning repair to my home. Although I didn't have the financial resources to pay the total amount after the air conditioning repair was completed. The company was nice enough to allow me to pay the amount due in two monthly installments in the process.
The technician, Ramon, did an excellent job figuring out what was happening with the dampers in our 2-zoned AC system. He was very thorough, careful, and did a great job explaining what had happened and what to watch for in the future. He adjusted the dampers and made sure each zone was working properly. He did a very thorough job!
I had Joe helped me with my AC unit clean up. This is the bi-annually AC maintenance service to make sure the unit is running smoothly and the drainage system is clean. He answered all of my questions which help me keep up with the regular maintenance. I found him very knowledgeable and professional. I would recommend this company to my friends and family. Thanks!
This company came to my home and serviced my AC Unit. I was informed everything was fine and repaired that we should not have anymore problems with the unit leaking water. I was super excited! I left my home and ran errands. I came home to the unit leaking worse than what it was leaking. I reached out to Air Specialist and the lady I spoke with ensured me someone would contact me right away. Two hours went by and my husband called. She said to him the exact same thing that someone will be contacting us asap that she made it a high priority. By this time my wood floors in my bedroom are damaged water is everywhere and we never received a call from anyone. The crazy part we were told that in a couple years we would need a new unit. We asked for a quote. They gave us a quote and we were going to go with Air Specialist to install a new system. But now, how can we trust this company that doesn't stand by their work, they don't return calls etc. This isn't fake, this is real on 11/5/2022 @4am a disappointed customer.
I’ve been using Air Specialist for a few years now and have had great customer service with them, from the office calls to the technicians!! All has been super great!!
They always offer their opinion and don’t have any pressure on recommendations to your systems. I have used them for years and they installed a new AC coil and a new furnace on two separate occasions. They don’t overcharge for small items like capacitors on the ac and are honest with their labor. Joe Wills is a great tech too.
Charolette Jones my mother paid $1,584 for ac repair. Advised leak and was repaired by Steve yesterday 10/31/22. Air conditioner worked for approximattely five hours at most. At 9 pm ac showed 77 degrees fan turned on but did not cool 74 degrees. A/C ran fan all night. Outdoor temp was in low 60's, so no hot weather stress. She phoned air specialist, Steve repairman came out stated must have sprung another leak and that's that. She's retired on fixed income cannot afford to give away $1,584, Company repairman should have verified checked if further repairs needed which he took less than 2 hours to repair/check unit. She would have taken a loan to purchase new air conditioner instead of paying $1,584 for nothing. This company takes no responsibility for wasted repair $$$$. She phoned company advised manager would call her back at 1: 30 pm back no response. She even advised Steve yesterday she would have purchased a new A/C yesterday if advised repair was a waste of her hard earned money. Please think twice before using this company. ****** Air Specialist manager (Cindy) contacted me shortly after posting the above review and setup quality review appointment for today 11/02/22 at 10 am. Two technicians promptly arrived without questions and repaired my a/c. I am extremely satisfied with the professionalism used to resolve the issue. BEWARE of this company and ensure that the technicians they send to service your HVAC are registered and licensed. In July they sent an inexperienced technician to my new home to do a maintenance visit on my HVAC. My home and the HVAC is brand new, lived here less than a year. Never had any problem with my HVAC. The technician they sent to my home broke my HVAC. I watched him as he was checking my HVAC. While he was doing so the the UEi test instrument he was using was not working according to him. He told me the calibration on the instrument is not working properly, but it’s okay he does not need to use it anyway. He began pulling wires out and in. He then charged me +$400 to ‘clean’ the HVAC. After his service, my HVAC system no longer was working. It was July and my house was scorching hot and my pets were inside I called the company and told them what happened. They then informed me that they would send someone out the next day to check the HVAC. They sent another technician who told me a major part was broken and they were going to have to charge me nearly $2k to repair it. I was told the initial guy they sent had little experience but they never had any problems with him. They told me it could take weeks to get the part and they would call me when the part came in. In the middle of July in scorching heat. I told them I would be staying in a hotel because my house was so hot and my pets were in distress and I would send them the bill if they did not fix it right away. All of a sudden the part that was going to take weeks to arrive, showed up with a different and more experienced technician within 2 hours. They sent the experienced technician with the guy that broke my brand new HVAC. The inexperienced tech became belligerent when i called him out on breaking my HVAC, he even refused to leave my house when I asked him to. He kept making excuses for his poor work, saying ‘these things happen…’ on a brand new HVAC system, that was working perfectly fine before
I have been very disappointed with the service from Air Specialist. The initial consultation and install in April of 2021 were great, the technicians which visited in July and yesterday were less than professional at best in their presentation with what I would consider a rude or condescending tone. Couple that with the fact that I was told in July that there was no service charge when speaking with the lady on the phone and yet get charged a service charge because the technician could not identify the problem only speculate that it was a capacitor on the outside unit as once he shut it off and restarted it, it worked fine. Yesterday was a similar issue, he thought it might be the capacitor in the blower motor but wasn't sure. Then there's the issue with every time I speak with anyone in your organization it seems that they are more interested in selling me a service plan than anything else. Although I appreciate that there might be potential benefits with this plan the last thing I need when having AC issues is to be bombarded with a sales pitch. I can say with absolute certainty that after spending approximately $160 on two fruitless service calls that I will not be calling Air Specialist in the future.
Heat was not coming on....had not used it since last winter. Yall checked everything including thermostat...actually system had begun working last night...heard it come on... everything was found to be working well. Reason for delay of coming on...system had a little debris which seem to correct itself and now be working correctly. The checkup was covered by our maintenance agreement.
