Called Long Electric & voice mail says they are retiring. The voice mail transferred me to a recommended business, Airpro Air Conditioning & Heating. I was told Ernesto is my scheduled tech, who used to work for Mr. Long.
Had AC put in 1994 worked great until now..They do great work .They did live on my street back then..Great people..
Edit: I also hired Long’s Electric to install an upgraded electrical panel. The install was so clean and Tommy installed the equipment I wanted. Very happy with the service! I would recommend Long Electric to my neighbors because they are professionals! I had a DI-Don’t fiasco on my hands and tried for days to get my ceiling fan replacement to work. Tommie came and fixed it within an hour! I explained what I was trying to accomplish and he made it happen. This company is local and established. I received text message confirmations, reminders, and notifications with Tommie’s visit so you know who is coming. Go with the safe, local and knowledgeable company! I am glad I called them!
Service call was very reasonable. Another local company tried to charge us $250 (3 times more) just to come out
Never received any quotes at all after jobsite visit. We have 3 different projects we're juggling the order of and all require electric work. The technician seemed like he did not want to be there at all, and had an audibly stressed and seemingly condescending tone. Was told we'd have to upgrade entire system to handle even just one of the projects, with an initial STARTING cost of 6K-8K, and he was pretty adamant that was just the starting cost so I was already fully expecting it to be even more the way he was wording it. Had another electrician come out, not only do we NOT have to upgrade everything for just the one project (it can wait until we do the second much larger project), but was quoted about 30% the total cost. I would look elsewhere.
A true, old-fashioned, family run business that is really great. Always provides great service, timely and prompt. I highly recommend them.
Needed a meter base replaced due to a storm. Was willing to pay a premium to get it done. I figured 2500 would be high but I would go with it to get me tenant back in working order. Long sent an estimate for 3900 and said that it would have to be paid in full prior to the job being started. I have never heard of such nonsense. I ended up using BakerBrothers. Job was completed in one day at $1500. Less than half the price of Long Electric. The did not ask for a final payment until the job was passed via the city. Beware of LONG HEAT AND AIR. Go with BakerBrothers or anyone else.
I spoke to receptionist on 3-29...she scheduled my appt for Friday 4-2 between 3-5...NO ONE SHOWED UP OR GAVE ME A CURIOSITY CALL FOR REASON...I CALLED AT 5:30 AND RECEIVED RECORDING THAT BUSINESS WAS CLOSED AT 5PM...... WHAT A WASTE OF MY TIME AND EFFORT... I AM SO DISAPPOINTED THAT I WAS DISREGARDED.... WHAT HAPPENED TO CUSTOMER SERVICE???? E.

I have done them business with Long Electric several times during the course of owning my home. I have always been absolutely delighted with all aspects of their service. The latest service was a ceiling fan installation, were the ceiling height is 20 foot tall.

I came in to work on a Sunday afternoon, 105 degrees outside, and no a/c. Called Long Electric and they had their tech, Kevin, out here within an hour. 30 minutes later, A/C is repaired and blowing cold air. Great work!
