We had him come out to check our AC system out because it froze up yesterday and he was very upfront and honest no charge for his time very much Appreciate him.
Jay is the best. He knows what he is doing and fixes the problem the right way without having you spend a fortune.
I have used multiple times now for any issues with my AC units and he is always on time and very professional. Jay's knowledge about the AC units is amazing and he does not waste time with useless diagnosis. I have been super happy with Jay's service and will recommend him to anyone who has AC issues.
Jay has helped us more than once and has been such a life saver. He helped trouble shoot issues we were having with our AC and then during this insane winter weather he helped us via photos sent over text, trial and error and then diagnosing over the phone and walking us through how to temporarily fix it (to get us through these single digit temps). Very professional and he was even out of town while patiently helping us with all of this. 100% recommend giving him a call!
All 3 furnaces were down and Jay talked us through the fix (while he was out of town traveling). What great service! This, during the worst snow/cold storm in Tx history. Jay’s an angel!
11 months ago I called Jay to inquire about what type of HVAC system he would recommend for my home, he made a recommendation and I believed him, so he pulled out my old system and put in a new one and a more efficient system....., or so I thought, which in hind site seems to be a mistake. After receiving the highest electric bill in 19 years I called Jay to inquirer as to the "WHY" or what is happening? I explained to hime (Jay) over the last 10 months of using the new system he installed I have used more KW's than the pervious 10 months with a system that was 19 years old? When I called Jay to ask why, he had three basic responses: 1. Call your electric company and ask them. 2. Have an energy efficiency test done on your home......, really? (BTW, I've replaced my windows and roof within the last 3 years) 3. He (Jay) questioned why I had my thermostat set so high based on the weather.....? I had the temp set at 75 which I do not think is go high. His (Jay) customer service and/or service after the sale is the worst I've encountered in some time. He said that he would come out to discuss, but that got push back 2 or 3 times, then he told me he would not be coming out at all....., instead he was going to send a technician out (which I would think should have been done anyway?), ultimately I told him (Jay) not to send his tech out since he was not going to come out. All I know is that the system he recommended and installed is costing MORE THAN a system that was 19 years old and his customer service is terrible. I would steer clear of this company and/or get second and third opinion(s) on his suggestions...... Really....., a $300.00 electric bill "IS NOT" normal for my home, NEVER in 19 years have we had a bill that high, not until I followed your recommendation did that occur....., you and your company failed me!!!!
Jay came out to fix our heater - he quickly found the problem, but then thoroughly checked and tested the rest of the system inside and out to ensure that it was functioning correctly after the fix. I really appreciated that he took the time to teach me about our system, how it works, how to maintain it, and gave suggestions to make it more efficient. I took out a notepad and took notes! Jay was very kind and professional, we will be calling him again next time we need our HVAC serviced!
Based on recommendations on the Trophy Club Community Facebook pages I contacted J&T Mechanical. Jay came out and was very professional, knowledgeable. A very nice guy who not only serviced our units but also and gave us great feedback on our HVAC system in general. I highly recommend this company.
Came home from our week long vacation to a hot home Saturday evening. The main AC unit failed. So we started using the upstairs unit, after a few hours it too failed. Contacted Jay Saturday night and he came out the next morning. Unfortunately we had to wait on parts. Once the parts arrived On Monday, Jay and his helper quickly fixed our AC units. Jay always does a great job for neighbors and now for us too. Thank you Jay.
This is a great company to have repair, service or install air conditioning or heating systems. Was referred by a social media posting and called Jay the next day. Was able to set up an appointment within 6 hours of our call. He arrived early and repaired the unit which another company declared unrepairable. He was very honest in his explanation of our problem and his pricing was extremely fair. This is a company you want to share with others.
I reached out to J&T AC on short notice for assistance with my HVAC in the middle of July. James answered the phone, was professional, and more importantly, he was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. He was able to come out quickly to look at my HVAC and fixed everything I needed without over-charging me. His rates were exceptional and he never tried to “sell me” things I didn’t need. He was detailed and provided quality work! I highly recommend J&T AC. Of all the HVAC companies I have had out to my house, he is the only one I will call again!
I called Jay at J & T Mechanical to check on a unit that stopped working after a “repair” earlier in the week. He squeezed me in same day into his already busy Friday schedule. Came out and looked at the broken unit, as well as my other two units to make sure everything was working ok with them. He was knowledgeable, thorough in explanation, and showed me how to clean the units. He managed to get a new unit and replace it at the end of the day. Further, he spent time talking to the prior repairman to explain what happened to the unit, including pictures, so I could justify nonpayment. I was so pleased with the experience that I posted on FB and texted some of my local friends with his info. Will definitely keep Jay’s number handy. Highly recommend!
Jay is a great HVAC technician and business owner! He took the time to help diagnose and educate me about my AC issue - he explained things very clearly and even took the time to show me how to keep my system well maintained. Jay is honest, friendly and follows through on his service commitment. I look forward to having Jay routinely maintenance my system. We first used J&T last summer (2019) to evaluate on my AC units that had stopped cooling. The diagnosis was the coil had a leak. In the interim, freon was added to the system. It was suggested that we wait until the winter to replace the coil as the prices would be lower. It seemed like decent advice. I wrote a 5 star review in fact. This spring, my other unit stopped cooling. J&T "looked" but didn't test the system. Again, the diagnosis was to replace the coil on this system as it too had a leak. I agreed to the change which cost approximately $2900 with taxes. Three weeks later, the system stopped cooling. I called J&T out to determine the issue. This time, it was a leak on the outside unit. Again, no test we're run to identify the exact location. The recommendation was to replace the entire outside unit. At this point, as you would expect, I asked if this could have been the leak in the first place. This is where things got nasty and totally unprofessional. Instead of agreeing and trying to figure out a way to help us, Jay asked when was the AC unit last cleaned and then began to blame me for the unit not working properly. After my wife sighed from his response, he then said he's not taking this and said he's done with us. We attempted to have a further conversation but Jay of J&T got in his truck and left. This situation could easily have been resolved with an apology and finding a way to work together. So, I had another firm come out and look at the unit. They found the leak which was indeed on the outside unit. He fixed the leak with parts and labor for $370. One last thing, the first unit that was determined to have a coil leak in 2019 was also tested by this other firm. It still has max pressure and running fine. Home Owners Needing Help with their systems: AC firms do have ways to test systems to find leaks. One way is to inject a dye and I suspect there are other ways too. These tests cost extra money of course, but it could save you thousands of

One of our units was not cooling. Jay came out quickly and tried the least expensive option first, while explaining everything to me. He gave me advice for how to take care of the unit and things I could do myself. The unit wasn't working the next day, so Jay gave us a temp fix so that we could replace the necessary part when prices drop in the off season. I've texted him a bunch of questions while trying to get the unit running better and he answered so many questions and walked me thru a lot of the process. He's been great. Definitely recommend.
I called Jay last year and he came out the same day and fixed my AC issue. I called him again today regarding my other unit and he fixed it within 6 hours. I never expected any HVAC service company to respond like that. I have had the larger companies service me in the past and they gouge right from the start, but not Jay. He was very personable and gave me tips on how to improve air flow in the home and make the units run better. He is the man from now on. There are not enough people like him in the business.
