These guys are great. Very professional and helpful. Always do a good job!
Gene Smith, who owns Lonestar Heating & Air, has been doing all my maintenance and service for 18 years. His receptionist, Mary Lou, has always been, friendly knowledgeable, professional and eager to please the customer. She is a very important part of the business. Gene is always professional, friendly and very knowledgeable about the needs of my heating and air systems. He is always on time for appointments and always more than fair on price. He did maintenance, repair and replacement on my old system and now continues twice a year maintenance on my new system. He has proved he is dependable, capable and trustworthy to the point I consider him a friend. With proven service like that, I see no reason to ever use any other company for any of my heating or air needs. Lonestar Heating & Air has a slogan, "Service You Can Hang Your Hat On", and I can personally verify that is true for Gene, Mary Lou, and all the employees of Lonestar Heating & Air.
I have been using Lonestar Heating & Air for over 8 years. I have used them for preventative maintenance, repair, and installation of a new unit. Always been outstanding service from the initial momemt I met Gene through a recommendation from a friend. Even when I have had to leave a message I get a quick call back from Mary-Lou who tries to help.with identifying the issue and providing possible resolutions while Gene is dispatched to my home. Its very difficult finding an A/C business you can trust. I am so happy I got referred to Gene over 8 years ago and I trust him 100%. I continually see that they value me as one of his customers.
We have used Lone Star for over ten years. Very professional service. Has always met our needs.
These guys are great. They do all of my service at my home and office.
Gene and his team do great and honest work at extremely reasonable pricing. I definitely recommend calling him for all your HVAC needs.
The secretary is very rude and constantly giving attitude for absolutely no reason (very unprofessional). They don’t even ask what we want they do whatever without even asking us. The secretary then went on to accuse us of making the price and picking out the AC unit which was most definitely not the case they did everything without and even brought a blower and installed it without telling us when we specifically wanted the new AC unit. Y’all’s job is to act professionally and do what the customer ask not to go and do whatever you want. The secretary is extremely just disrespectful and unprofessional and will not help with what you ask. Not how you treat your customers.
Mary Lou is very unprofessional and rude. They did not fix the issue like they said they would. The staff makes empty promises of coming and then don’t. I will not recommend them to anyone.
Great service, dependable and responsive. Alfredo was genuine, professional, and knowledgeable.
Honesty/Integrity is always #1 on the list for me. If honesty is the foundation then everything else falls into place. In August our house will be 3 years old so when the thermostat "went out" yet the breakers were fine, I needed to call someone. I called up lonestar heating and air. They were able to come out the same day. They initially thought the circuit board had a low voltage short. Said it's all under warranty for parts and would only be labor. Sweet! They grabbed a circuit board, headed back out to the house. We both knew what caused the short needed to be found to prevent this from happening again. Jim looked at each and every little thing that could have caused it checking off what worked and then finally discovered it was the wiring on the OUTSIDE unit that wasn't covered in electrical tape in one section so with the wind, rain, etc so after 3 years it caused a short. Once he found that he realized it did have a fuse that was blown and the circuit board ended up being saved. Those pesky little wire faults like that are so annoying but a little electrical tape to begin with could have saved a headache when it was installed by the company the builder used. I'm just thankful that Jim was able to find it for us and get the house cool before Mother's Day! Gene runs a great A/C company. Gene and Jim have super honest as they realized their initial assessment wasn't right after more investigating and then let us know right away as well as charging us under than their initial estimate! They could have easily charged us what was initially quoted but charged us for exactly what it took. Thanks again for getting us back running.
Very nice. He was fast and got my ac blowing cold.Even the owner was the one that came out on a Saturday. How many times do you see that happen on a weekend. Mary Hirst
We use Lonestar Heating & Air for both the commercial and residential properties for over 5 years and we LOVE them. They are really sweet people, always on time, flexible with scheduling, and we never have any issues. Totally recommend!
Friendly honest service
Have used this company for years. They service both our home & rental properties. Professional. On time. Reliable. Knowledgeable. Wouldn't use any other company! They. Are. The. BEST! Hands down!! - Jen
I had these guys out a couple years ago. Another AC company was trying to charge me $14k for a crappy no name unit they said 'might' last 10 years. This company offered me top name brand units known for lasting 20+ years. Rheem, Lenox, etc. I asked for 2 heating/AC units (in May) and they came and did an excellent job explaining the 300% energy cost savings. I asked for quotes on their best units, Lenox, and had 2 heat pumps installed in 2 days time for $11k. ChaCha was great to work with and all went smoothly.
Called for general system check-out—— she quoted a fee of $250.00 dollars for this service. OUTRAGEOUS!
Good service, good people, good price. I highly recommend Lonestar!
We had a brand new unit installed a few years ago at my home in Joshua. The unit was a lemon!!!! Every 6 months to a year Gene and his guys were out here fixing something on the unit! Gene finally got tired of it breaking and me calling complaining. He brought me a BRAND NEW UNIT AT NO CHARGE!!! It works better than the other one ever did!!! I am so pleased with Gene, Jason, and all the crew!!! A+ on the customer service!! You guys rock!! Thanks so much for all you have done!!
Called them and they quoted $80 service charge. Gene came out and looked at it and said I had a bad compressor and THEN charged me an extra $40 for half an hour service charge for not doing anything and messed up the wiring. He also said he had to go back and look up how to work on our Trane unit since he hasn't worked on those in awhile. Called back and wanted almost $1900 just to repair it and close to $3000 to replace the entire thing! I called a different AC company to come out and look. They noticed that he completely crossed all the wires, which I believe because he purposely left our fuse to the AC out. Once you plug in the fuse the fan will just run and not turn off even with the thermostat set to off. Will never use them AGAIN! I'm getting a completely new unit installed by the other company for only $1800! They are way overpriced and obviously don't know what they are doing if he crossed the wires and had to leave the fuse unplugged.
If you want to over pay, this is your guy.
