Known and done business with Mike Bentley for 25 years. He personally just repaired my unit on a hot Sunday morning. Very honest guy. Bentleys is old school. Excellent customer service and fair pricing make him # 1. Thanks Mike.
I recommend Bentley's. We first used them for twice-yearly maintenance for 4-5 years due to having very old heat and A/C systems. Their technicians give great service, often the same-day or next-day, and were very knowledgeable and honest with me about keeping my systems operable as long as possible. When we finally decided to replace them, we got multiple quotes. Bentley's cost was the lowest, and one of "the bigs" in town had their lowest quote literally twice what Bentley's was! That said, the "big" had priced in replacing all ductwork which I didn't ask for - this felt like a ripoff attempt, so I chose not to pursue further quotes from them. Bentley got the job done in one day, including replacing just the ductwork for the returns. Our new systems work great and are much more efficient than the old ones. We hired them back again this winter to resume twice-yearly maintenance, and they quickly fixed a little rattle we had noticed. I was also pleasantly surprised that the annual maintenance cost had not been increased, unlike just about every other price around us these days. A native Greenvillian friend had recommended this company to me, and after working with them, I know why, and I recommend them too. Definitely worth at least getting a quote from them. Very honest, very good at the work, reasonably priced, just all around a great experience. It's so refreshing to have a vendor you can rely on. THE ONE NEGATIVE - they do NOT call to remind you about service and to schedule it when you have the annual maintenance agreement for twice-yearly service. This is a real shortcoming and I am subtracting a star for it after years of never getting this reminder. (The only reminder I get is when it’s time to pay again!) This is so basic and should be obvious, that they call to remind you of and schedule the service you have paid for. When I reported this to them by phone, I got no answer, just a frosty “ok.”
Despite having rescheduling issues two weeks in a row for my first A/C maintenance service, I appreciated how transparent Mark was re: the issues and how hard he worked to make it right. The actual service was great and Stephen was very knowledgeable and helpful—he could’ve easily rushed through it since they added me in at the end of the day, but I felt like he took his time and was thorough. I hope that scheduling for the fall/winter maintenance runs smoother and I can bump this up to 4 or 5 stars, because so far everyone has been very genuine and honest—which is always what you hope for when you have service & repairs in your home!
My air handler stopped working they came out same day as I called. Tech found what was wrong quickly, ordered part and got back out in two days and it worked perfectly. Can’t thank them enough. Super professional and knowledgeable.

Jerry Walsh and Shawn Stone were prompt and did a great job! They cleaned up after finishing the job! They worked very hard for us! Made a 39 year old attic look new again! We will continue using Bentleys for our heating and air needs!

Called and asked about fixing a leak on a mini split. Was told there was a lot of stuff to do to get a leak fixed. Told them it was just a bad flare but owner convinced me it was more than that. Tech came out and fixed the flare in an hour and recharged the system and left. It was $600. $600 to fix a flare. Owner is a scammer and won't return calls asking to return some of that money for lying to me about complexity of the fix. Also, their "yearly checkup" doesn't do anything. They charge you $185 to come out and look at your system but not do anything like clean coils or add freon. These guys are straight scammers.
It was later in the evening, and my heat went out... called Bentley's and they came out when many others said no. Stephen was knowledgeable, professional and friendly. A very southern gentleman. I am very pleased with the service and will continue to use Bentleys for all my HVAC needs. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
STELLAR - this company goes above and beyond when it come to customer relations and retention, their prices are more than fair, the staff is friendly with high regards to ethical practices and morals, locally owned and operated. Bentley’s team is highly skilled and knowledgeable to take on any task. Best of the Upstate for a reason!

I was with Bentley last eight years under yearly maintenance plan. This time they came and checked my HVAC , Found capacitor is bad. ,Techician want 50 dollar for capacitor which you can 15 dollar from amazon . $120 in labour for five mins work . I was under mainatance contract with them . I couldn’t agree the change in maintenance policy agreement. Technician was nice enough to put old capacitor back . Wishing them good luck on new business strategy , nicely done .
