I have utilized Max Mechanical multiple times now for separate issues with my home air conditioning. They have gone out of their way to service my problems in a timely manner. It's a level of friendly service that you don't really expect to come across this day and age. I have price compared them to other local HVAC companies and you simply cannot beat their quality and pricing. There is no one else I will use as long as I live in Charleston.
Needed old duct work out new duct work in. Set up appointment with Max Mechanical Heating and Air. He pulls up with his associate and is on the phone when he walks up so a small wait and then introductions. Go to show him what’s needed and notice he is now texting. I show, he what I considered half heartedly looks, he is back texting, asked if he heard me, he said yes, then told him wanted quote with and without new trunk lines. Well this threw him off, he started to look more then, and said did I want a unofficial price, that this was huge project, involved lots of work, and well looked disinterested from time he came through my gate. I understand multitasking, but to be constantly in your phone or on it while bidding a job I have a problem with. And without really investing time into looking comes up with a exorbitant amount for verbal quote. Asked if he would just email me both quotes. NEVER EVER RECEIVED AN EMAIL FROM THIS COMPANY. Owner must not need “a lot of work” job. Would never recommend.

We have used Max and his team a few times over the last five years and we write this positive review after our most recent experience. We have been experiencing an intermittent problem with our furnace that is hard to describe, hard to catch, and therefore, hard to diagnose and resolve. Max and his team worked with us to catch the intermittent problem as it happened and successfully diagnosed and replaced the misbehaving part, all under warranty and at a very reasonable service fee. They worked around our schedule, were responsive to our call/text, and on time. Not only did Max Mechanical resolve this issue, but they also corrected other existing problems with HVAC ducts being undersized that caused the issue to begin with. Max is exceptional – he is professional and very knowledgeable. He communicates with you as the job progresses and speaks with you in terms you can understand. Lastly, he took great care in keeping our house clean as they went in and out and thoroughly cleaned up after themselves. We highly recommend Max Mechanical for all your HVAC needs! Max was responsive to phone calls and text. He had patience to walk me thru some steps to check my heating. He was very informative and explained to me in detail about the possible issues at hand. He arrived in a timely matter and kept communication thru the process. He followed up and was truly concern about the issue. I’m very pleased with my service.

Max took time out of his day to help me troubleshoot conflicting diagnosis from two other HVAC guys. He didn’t rush the conversation and seemed very honest and knowledgeable. Not salesy at all like some are. I appreciate him taking time to figure out what my best next step should be. After this brief conversation I’d feel very comfortable working with him if the problem isn’t fixed with the solution in place.

Max and his team arrived in a timely manner and was so helpful! Our heating went out when the temperature dropped and he was very communicative and ready to come and repair our problem. He and his team were friendly as my kids were running around and my house was less than ideally clean (haha!). Thanks so much, Max!
Absolutely phenomenal service! Second time we have used his services. Both the owner and employees are super polite and knowledgeable. They will not try to upsell you or pressure you into services you don't need. Honest and hard working company. Only HVAC company we will use. Highly recommend!
Highly recommend Max and his team! My HVAC unit was dying in August and they were quickly able to get me on the schedule and get a whole new unit installed in a few hours and at a great competitive price. Max and his team were very professional and courteous (great with dogs as well) and cleaned up their workspace once they finished the job.
Outside condenser died Tuesday night, I reached out to Max and he and his team were by Wed before 9. The trouble-shot unit for minimal expense and while here replaced 2nd thermostat on other unit and fixed porch light. He gets my call first everything! Thanks Max!
