Quality and timely service is a hallmark of a good service provider and M&B Heating and Air hits the mark. Rick has been servicing our HVAC system for several years now. He’s a skilled technician that is customer focused. I have recommended M&B to friends and family and will continue to do so.
From start to finish was great! Easy to make an appointment with Heather and John did a very thorough job with the maintenance of our unit.
We were very impressed with M&B Heating & Air. We purchased ducts, handler & condenser from them and their techs were diligent in their knowledge of installing each products. It took four days to install the combos and the reps always kept us informed at each stage We are very satisfied with the products and their service. Michael was so great to us. Our AC turned off after install and he came out at 8pm in a terrible hail storm to help us get cool. He identified the problem, kept us cool that night, then the issue was fixed first thing the next day by Robert and Matthew. I’d recommend them to all of Charleston!
Robert Meade and his geothermal team replaced a geothermal unit at my residence. The four men were well mannered and professional. Care was taken to protect the floors and stairs during and after the installation, and there was a thorough cleanup after the installation was completed. I give high marks for the professional quality of the company.
I highly ecommend Myatt & Bates for any HVAC work that you need. From the scheduler to the unit installers, everyone was nice and professional. The sales rep was on time, gave us a quote with finance options. Julie in the finance area was so nice to work with and the guys who installed the system arrived on time, talked with us and started working immediately. They were both very nice and professional. I am so pleased with our new unit and look forward to doing business with them in the future.
M&B figured out exactly what I needed on a Sunday and had it in the very next week. When the parts were on order they provided space heaters, it was really a nice touch. When the air return was too loud, they came and fixed the problem after the installation. 100% recommend…not the cheapest, but definitely the best.
The old heat pump died after 21 years. Three technicians removed the old system, outside unit and duck work, than installed a new split system unit in 1 day. I thought that was pretty impressive.
From the salesperson to the installers, Myatt and Bates were on time and very professional. M&B beat a competitor by $4000 for a higher efficiency system. I was kept informed by text messages and emails. The installers explained everything as they worked, they worked fast, cleaned up before they left, and thanked us for the business. The office was efficient when job began and ended. July filed all paperwork for rebates and warranties. Thanks M&B
Their service technician Rick was very professional, explained everything in detail and in my opinion did a great job.
I had M&B install an hvac unit less than 10 years ago. I did not realize at the time that it was improperly done. Now that things have started to go downhill and I had three other consults, I see the issues. M&B serviced my unit twice per year ever since, never letting me know that there were problems. It wasn't until the unit leaked through the ceiling that we found out the issues. I contacted them several times for the last couple years of reports and it was like pulling teeth. I'm not even sure if they did reports all the time. I also asked for my money back for the maintenance plan that they just charged for as they didn't do anything and I wound up having to replace the entire unit. I no longer want to use them and just want the money back for services that haven't even occurred. They did not do anything to replace/repair the unit (I used another company) and they do not even have the decency to respond to my requests and communication. I've never witnessed such poor service.
We picked M&B to replace our 15 year old heat pump. Everyone from Julie in the office to our system installers, Matt & Freddie were friendly, courteous and professional. Matt and Freddie were prompt and on time both days during the replacement of our old dying 14 seer Lennox unit with a new 17 seer American Standard unit. They made sure to cover all of the flooring pathways necessary for access into the attic of our 2 story house. After they had left, I did note the new Honeywell Pro thermostat on the 2nd floor didn’t have an Auto Mode. I contacted Julie and she promptly scheduled service to replace it at no charge. The technician for this replacement, Mike, was as equally on time, courteous and professional as his colleagues. We enjoyed talking with all the employees we interacted with, are very satisfied with our new unit and would recommend M&B for unit replacement and/or servicing.
Our technicians were amazing! Respected our home with clean mats, installed a complicated HVAC with utmost efficiency and ensured we we’re happy with the complete installation. Worked with our condo residential mgmt to ensure a smooth install. Highly recommend!

I must say, I was quite impressed. Chris in an "unsales manner" convinced me to buy the top-of-the-line system! He is truly an asset to your firm. I can tell you he certainly upsold the opportunity, to the tune of approximately an additional $7000! The install crew went above and beyond on all aspects of keeping me informed, with respect to my home and me as well as for sure, knew what they were doing! For all this, I am greatly appreciative. Heather and Julie were looking out for the maintenance agreement and Julie for your $$$$. Please remind Chris he was going to change my filters. The new system, old filter?? You must be very proud of the company and every right to be! Please extend my appreciation to all involved with my install.
WARNING! I chose this company based on the reviews when our AC stopped, and unfortunately, I'm back to leave a review to warn others... This company PRICE GOUGES! Our AC tripped off after the pipe was clogged, he cleared the pipe, was at our home for a total of 20 minutes, and we were charged over $500 for the simple service. Not to mention after waiting at home in the time window which, he arrived an hour later with no call to update us, couldn't work his iPad, and lost his phone in our home. I would not recommend this company to a friend. If you do, make sure to ask for the pricing of the service beforehand! **We also called the company to ask for an explanation and they were unfriendly.**
