I reviewed quotes from four reputable companies before choosing The Heating Specialist. I have been very pleased with the results. The two installers were very professional and clearly experts in the field. The installation took less time than I expected and the equipment has operated flawlessly with no issues whatsoever. I highly recommend the Heating Specialist for anyone looking to install a new home air conditioning system.

Kevin came out in a very timely manner. He was personable and explained in detail what was done to repair our boiler. The repair took a half hour or less. We were also informed about options if our boiler keeps failing as it is very old and parts may not be available. We were very satisfied.

My newer air conditioning unit decided to stop working in the midst of an early season heat wave. I called multiple companies in the area to schedule an appointment but most were booked out a week or more. The company I used to install my system recommended The Heating Specialist. I had never heard of this company before but they were able to come out in two days and said they were authorized to do warranty work on my brand of air conditioner. I thought "Great" and scheduled the appointment. To my surprise they requested a credit card number and charged my account for the diagnostic fee ($210.80) before even setting foot on my property. This seemed odd but I was desperate and decided to go ahead and proceed with the appointment. On the morning of the appointment Kevin called to confirm and let me know he was on his way. I told him that the fans seem to be operating properly but the compressor isn’t kicking on as it's blowing warm air inside the house and the refrigerant lines are not getting cold. Based on what I've been told by industry professionals and doing my own research the capacitor was the likely culprit. This is a $20 part and easily accessed behind a panel on the air conditioning unit. Being that my equipment is still under factory warranty I decided to let the professionals handle it instead of trying to repair it myself. When Kevin arrived he noted all the same symptoms I described to him on the phone, cut power to the air conditioner and replaced the capacitor. He then powered the system up and "boom" the air conditioner worked! This all took place in the span of about 10 minutes. Next came the even better news: the "repair" would be a charge of $225. This is in addition to the $210.80 for diagnosing the problem. What?! That would make $435.80 for 10 minutes of work. In fact Kevin spent more time sitting in his van writing up my bill than it took to actually repair my air conditioner. I asked Kevin if this repair charge would be covered under my factor

This company has gone downhill since David Brent left. They are arrogant, and disrespectful.

We had the Heating Specialist install a gas line, replace an electric water heater with a gas water heater (A0 Smith ProMax 50 gal), - the big deal - a new gas boiler (Weil McLain CGa-4 Gold Boiler) for our radiant hot water heat, replacing the oil-fired boiler & removing the old oil tank in the basement. This was back in 2018, but I wanted to chime in now because (a) the system has been problem free; (b) we've recently had plumbers and sewer guys in the house, and on BOTH occasions, they have looked at the boiler system with sincere admiration, called the plumbing work a thing of beauty, and asked who did the work. I think one guy took a photo. THAT's how pretty the work is, seriously, I'm beginning to think that y'all should have your plumber sign and date the panel in the corner, like artists do. I also appreciated that you didn't try to upsell me on the more expensive system with more electronics that also needed more chimney lining, etc etc. So - still a satisfied customer 5 years later!!

I had a furnace on the fritz and they came out and diagnosed the problem quickly. Showed me what part I needed and let me order it to save costs. Great experience overall from initial intake call through service tech.

I have been working with them for years maintaining my home furnace and my koi pond heater. My pond heater went down a few months back and they sent a tech out that was lost and then they sent Kevin out. I watched Kevin messing around with the tankless hot water heater (which is part of the system) and saw him shorting the control board. I chose not to question that when he came and told me it was bad. I told him it would probably be cheaper to buy a new unit than buy the parts. I asked if I bought the new unit and if they could replace it. That's not a problem was the answer I received. Keep in mind that they had done this exact same thing a few years back, replacing a unit that I had bought. So I ordered the unit, made an appointment with them, and they sent me a work order confirming. The work order even says "Customer has received new instant hot water heater and needs to have it installed." I took the day off from work and an hour before they were supposed to arrive, I get a call from Kevin saying they could not install anything I didn't purchase from them. I asked why they didn't tell me this 3 weeks ago when I talked to them. All he said was it was their policy now. Next, I called the office and the receptionist just said "Yes that is our policy." I communicated that I had taken the day off from work just to be there for them, and the reply I received was "Oh well..it's not happening today." I've used them for years and they managed to lose a customer and referrals in a matter of 5 minutes. I highly recommend that you make another phone call and not use Heating Specialists.

The team at The Heating Specialist did an amazing job of replacing our old worn out furnace and air conditioning system. Jimmy, Jeffrey, and Austin were here on time, were super attentive to details, kept us appraised of their progress, and did an amazing job of installing our new heating and cooling system. The whole team, from Daniel working with us to get us the right setup for our house, through Presley handling the scheduling, through Jimmy, Jeffrey, and Austin who showed up today to do the tear out and install were all above and beyond our expectations. The install team was impressive - they put down protectors on our carpeting and left us in way better shape than when they arrived. Thank you for helping us and we look forward to you doing all of our future maintenance work!

Our furnace stopped working a few days before Thanksgiving. The HVAC company who had been servicing our system couldn't get someone out to our house for 10 days. I contacted The Heating Specialist and Kevin was able to do the emergency repairs that evening. We are now done with our original HVAC company and The Heating Specialist is going to be our go to company for servicing all of our HVAC systems.

About 2 yrs ago the heating specialists installed a new heater for us. In the middle of a bad snow and ice storm when our very old heater stopped working. We had a great experience working with them. Today we had them do a small repair. I called on a Sunday night and Kevin offered to come out right then, but we waited until the morning. Kevin called before he came, was on time and was very friendly. I appreciated him explaining things to me and he didn't mind me asking questions. I highly recommend them! Very professional.

The company did a nice job installing our new ductless minisplit AC system. Jacob did the final install and testing and was very helpful in explaining how to operate it. Thank you!

Edit-The company eventually agreed that I should not have to pay for that estimate and my check was returned. Most dishonest company I have ever dealt with. They gave me an estimate that was so high I did some investigation. I looked up the price of the parts and found the bill to be around $8000 higher than it should be. I asked for a clarification and break down of costs and I was completed ignored. I figured they realized I knew they were trying to scam me and thought that would be the end of it. I had the work done by another company (same unit quoted) for thousands less. I was completely surprised when then this company called asking for payment $210 (including a $20 charge for gas). I called explaining that I the estimate was a complete rip off and I was told " they have a right to charge what ever they want". Unless you have an extra $200 to waste I suggest you don't ask this unethical company for an estimate.

We also had a new water heater installed. This company was friendly and professional from the bid and installation scheduling (Presley), to the installers (Nicholas and Christian), who were prompt, efficient and knowledgeable. We would definitely use this company again.

These guys are pretty legit; professional and knowledgeable without any BS. The technician, Kevin, was friendly and easy to talk to. He even suggested a repair I can do on my own to save some money which I am more than happy to do, and very appreciative of. It looks like these guys have some competent guys working for them, if they're able to keep guys for 20+ years than it must be a good company. Highly recommended and probably should have called sooner.

This company installed a furnace without going over my options for a larger filter size given the furnace for the main unit lives inside the ADU!? The furnace only takes a size that has to be changed monthly. When I asked them to discuss my options, they want to charge me again to come out! This after they've been neglecting my calls for over two years trying to find out the right size for the furnace as I was left with the cheapest worst starter filter that didn't even really fit.

I would definitely recommend The Heating Specialist if you are looking for help with your HVAC system. I worked with Kevin 8 days ago when my heater stopped working. He quickly diagnosed the issue as a failed blower motor using a specialty tester - he is a true expert in HVAC systems. They were unable to fix the heater due to no availability in the US of a Lennox warrantied part due to COVID supply chain issues. Kevin gave me three options: replace the furnace, get the part and have him install it, or get the part and install it myself. I told him I wanted to install it myself and he took the time to walk me through the process. Because of him, I was able to find a motor off eBay and repair my heater! I really trust The Heating Specialist because of Kevin. He wasn't just trying to make money by forcing a new heater as my only option. He did the right thing and helped me get my heater working in a cost effective way. I'll be calling them once I actually do need to replace my heater.
