My 18 year old AC broke down and I had Eric come out and check it out and give me a quote to replace both the AC and the Furnace. (They are Daikin/Goodman distributor) He was professional and gave me the information I needed to make my decision. He was not pushy and he told me when he can start. I had about 5 others come out to give me a quote but none of them were able to give me a specific start date because weather was getting hotter and hotter and my furnace and the AC coils are in the attic. He came out on Monday, gave me the quote and told me he could get a crew in on Thursday to start if needed. I was concerned about the hot weather and the crew working in the attic and he said they will send enough guys so they can rotate the crew. He also gave me a few options on the choices. I pulled the trigger Wednesday morning and they still got a crew in on Thursday morning. It took a couple days to finish. And so much respect for John, Kaimana, Sedderick (and another guy was there on Thursday) because it was probably 120-130 degrees up in that attic but they got most of the hard work completed. They had work in the attic on both days and they cleaned up the areas on both days after they were done. Kept me posted throughout the project on the progress. To be honest I don't have any complaints. AC is working great, but since I got the AC fixed we have had a bit colder weather so I will wait a couple more weeks to see how it keeps up with the hot weather.
My AC died the day before the 4th of July. After 6pm so waited till next day to search for help. Sunset was my 2nd call and Sam came out and did a great job finding the problem. Had to wait till July 5th to get a couple more estimates from other companies. 2 week wait for scheduling so went ahead with Sunset and they came out on the 6th and completed removing all existing equipment and in stalling all new equipment. Electrician came next morning to complete the project. I was very impressed with the attention to detail and the professionalism of each member. Jace and Andrew the installers and AJ the electrician. The price is a little higher but the quality of work is the best I've ever seen. I couldn't be happier with the job they all did. I highly recommend them to anyone.
These guys are great! Noah was able to find the problem with my HVAC and fix it both faster than I thought and way cheaper than I was expecting!
Don’t waste your time they will give you an appointment time and will not keep to it, we had an emergency repair booked for the next day. They didn’t show up and then sent a text simply saying the appointment had been pushed back two days as they were busy. If you try and speak to them they will say they’ll call back and no one does. Extremely disappointing.
Sunset was able to fit me in next day as my AC just quit and was 87* inside my house. Shavon arrived in the time frame given and was wonderful, honest, spent extra time to find the exact problem and advocated for the next portion of service I needed the next day instead of the next week. Julian and Jake arrived on time with an upgraded unit. They were both very friendly, knowlegeable, efficient and within hours a whole new ac sytem, reconfigured the filter box and coil unit, installed an updated fuse box and thermostat. And they loved on my big dogs;) Wonderful field staff all the way around- this is great customer service that you cant find anymore! Thank you to all that were involved.
We had to reschedule the appointment a few times, but once Taylor arrived we had a great experience! He was professional, prompt, and did a great job.
Sunset were great and I highly recommend them! From the time Nathan came out to do our HVAC inspection to when Justin and Ramiro came to install our new A/C and heat pump. They were easy to work with and talked me through all available options to come up with the best one for us. I truly can not recommend them enough, thank you!

Technician was on time, respectful, and thorough - emailed me price estimates for work to be done. Prices are high so I am going to shop other businesses before making a decision.

Nathan was great! Very knowledgeable, professional, amiable & didn't try to sell me the top of the line expensive heat pump. I told him my situation & he suggested one that fit my plan & budget. I love the 10 months, zero interest or payments. The technicians will be here on Monday to install it, just in time to have it running before the heat wave. ♨️
Taylor was great to work with. I just bought my home, and he helped educate me on some things regarding my HVAC system. He is a consummate professional who takes pride in what he does, as it is evident by the service he provides. A great technician. Had my new furnace and AC installed less than 48 hrs from calling them. Tad went over the pricing and packages with me and was super knowledgeable and nice. The install team was fantastic. Clean work! Friendly and knowledgeable. The staff answering the phones are just as great. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.
I cannot recommend Sunset. It is my fault for not doing my homework ahead of time. They changed a $20 capacitor on my AC compressor and charged me $429!!! The industry standard is between $140-$200 for the same job. If you need a capacitor replaced, I recommend going somewhere else.
Justin and his team hit the mark with a very courteous and friendly install. The total install cost was terrific value. They are fast, too. I had the install done the same week as the estimate! Kudos!

One star is generous. I started the process of getting a heat pump over a month ago. Since the first installation, sunset heating and cooling has been to my home over seven times. AND, I still do not have a functioning heat pump. I thought it would be best to use the same company that installed the furnace in my home. That was a mistake. I have had to call multiple times to inquire about the status of when installation will be complete. This experience has been horrendous. Use this company if you are okay with never having heating or cooling again.
