I would not recommend this company if timeliness is important to you. Despite scheduling a service appointment over a month in advance and taking time off work to accommodate it, they failed to show up. When I contacted them, a representative named Kirk informed me that they had neglected to record the appointment and did not notify me. This level of disorganization and unprofessionalism is unacceptable.
Service Now is the best heating and cooling company I've ever hired. Kurt, Frank, Kyle, and Andy were all terrific. I called Kurt, the general manager, on the morning of 4-10-2023, informing him that my furnace had failed. Frank arrived an hour later to take a look. The next morning, Kyle and Andy brought in and installed a new furnace. The following morning, Frank returned to double-check everything, including my thermostat and heat pump. Wow, five stars!
Fantastic service - really saved the day for me. I had another company come out and "repair" the furnace only to have the same issue crop up again the next day (guess I didn't need that new thermostat, argh). When I called Service Now and they sent Frank out to diagnose the issue, I immediately knew I was in much better hands and they actually knew what they were doing. Frank took the time to show me how to read the error code on our Carrier furnace for future reference, which I really appreciated. They were willing to fix the issue even though our furnace is well over 15 years old and were able to schedule someone for the next day to do the repair at a very reasonable price. When another issue cropped up, they came out the same day and addressed it (no cost). They've earned a customer for life, can't recommend them highly enough.
Very professional and polite
Friendly, prompt, professional, and affordable. Good experience.
I had used this company 15 years ago to install a furnace after getting other bids and was very happy with their service. So when my furnace started to malfunction, I called them again, and they were the most responsive of the companies I had called, and were very professional and knowledge. They were immediately aware of the issue with the heat exchanger, based on a manufacturing defect. I also was happy with their bid to add a heat pump, so they installed a dual furnace/heat pump system, and got it work with my Nest thermostat. Overall, enjoyed working with everyone from owner to installers, and highly recommend this company!
We have used several HVAC companies in Metro Portland area for our two old houses last 25 years, and so far this is the best company. They provide qualitative, professional service with reasonable price. Most important of all, they are prompt. We once desperately contacted most H&A companies near us when our system broke down during the peak of the Pandemic. When most companies scheduled their services few weeks or even month later, they immediately responded and did a perfect job. We highly recommend this company to all my neighbors.
I can't thank you enough for taking such good care of my aunt. Andy and Kyle installed her AC and they were wonderful. She was very anxious, but they graciously answered all her questions and made sure she was comfortable with what they were doing. So respectful and friendly and polite! 20 stars for customer service!
Service Now is true to their name. I called after hours leaving a voicemail on a Thursday, and they called me back within 10 minutes, and was able to squeeze me in on Friday in 99° weather. Frank educated me on how to maintain my ac unit/furnace, and didn’t charge me even though I was barely over my 12 month warrantee. I would recommend this company to my friends and family. Thank you guys!
I don’t often write reviews but feel compelled to correct the record given some of the poor reviews I have seen for Service Now. I’ve worked with Service Now for almost 10 years - as a home owner and property manager. Jason Johnston, their install guru is amazing at not only teaching you (if you’re willing) but also working with very complex situations (100 year old house with major remodeling plans, another home with poor original venting and original install ) while laying out a variety of options based on budget, future plans such as remodels and especially sustainability - something I care deeply about. Most recently I moved into a 20+ year home in a nice HOA to care for my elderly and recently widowed mother. And guess what, the furnace went out in December, 2021. My mother wanted to use their old contractor- one they found because of the sticker on the furnace when they bought the place. I just had to call “my guy” Jason Johnston for a second bid who easily found a much better solution compared to the very “green” sales guy who obviously didn’t know much and whose company didn’t have relationships with vendors to work the horrendous supply chain issues. Jason knew we were both on a tight budget and with the help of Kurt Wakefield, their supply chain and administrator expert, we were not only in more efficient heat but with options three other furnace installers couldn’t compete with price or expertise. And during the time of COVID, they easily confirmed the employees who came were vaccinated (not common in the trades) and came masked up. And this week, another blow. The original to this home AC died on an during the hottest week so far of the summer. I feared more cost, more supply chain issues and waiting a long time for the very busy crew to get here. But this is Service NOW! After only one after-hour call and an email, Kurt was on the phone with me immediately this morning and had a technician at our home before noon. Matt assessed the issue and
Best ever. Super helpful
Dangerous driver. Was side-by-side with one of their service vans but their lane was going to disappear so I accelerated to give him space to merge. Guy gunned it and tried to shove his way in were there was no space. I'm a firm believer that driving character and integrity (or lack thereof) carries over into the workplace and indicates how they will treat your home/property. Stoner-looking dude. License plate: '212 MTY'.
Received multiple bids for new furnance & air conditioner units. Service NOW Inc. was prompt, professional, gave multiple options but informed me of my best option with regards to house size and future maintenance costs. I was not upsold or given some long drawn out sales pitch. I was told what was needed for installation, length of time, and what to expect. Technicians arrived on time, informed me on progress as needed, and were friendly yet professional. I appreciated how all expectations were met and the technicians were respectful of my property. They cleaned everything up and left all areas free of any debris. I was informed on what work was performed, preventative maintenance measures, and my questions were answered thoroughly. They handled rebates, registering equipment, and gave discount for cash/check on new equipment install. Very happy with this company and highly recommend!
I was referred to Service Now by Angies List, and they got back to me wanting 95 bucks to come out and tell me what was wrong with my A/ C unit. I called and talked with Kurt Wakefield, the general manager, and told him what I already knew was causing the issues, and he chuckled and told me "good luck finding someone to work on your unit", and ended the call. A total waste of my time, and his attitude was Anything BUT Professional. I intend to report this to Angies List as well. My advice, find someone else that cares to do your work, your money would be better spent elsewhere. Good Luck!
Just called the number and was meet with a jumbled "Servicnowcanyouholdplease" from some old sounding male. When I was confused in what was said he immediately shouted "SIR CAN YOU HOLD PLEASE". Annnd I hung up. Sad to see good reviews of professionalism and then experiencing the exact opposite. Good thing there are like 10 more places to call in the immediate area.
I called Service Now because they were the closest to my home. A modern, efficient gas furnace should be serviced annually. The company that installed the furnace 12 years ago moved. This was my first annual service. I am not proud of that. When I called Service Now, one of the first questions they ask was if my furnace was working now. It was, so we scheduled an appointment about 2 days later. The service technician arrived on time, and was very experienced. He cleaned the heat exchangers, adjusted the flame and performed all of the necessary annual service, for a reasonable fee. I will be calling in this company again next year.
Good guy. Told me he wasn't right person for the specific heat pump fix I needed and that I should find someone that had experience with that specific part of a large scale system. I appreciated the advice and honesty.
I needed a very small specialty part that hardware stores don't carry, so I went to Service Now. They not only had the part, but gave it to me free of charge AND gave me a ton of great advice on oil furnace maintenance and repairs. They clearly see the value in long-term customer relationships versus a quick buck. Next time I need service, I'm calling Kurt at this place. Highly recommended.
