We had a new gas furnace and AC installed in May of 2022 by Morrison. Shortly after, there were issues with the install not being done correctly, and we were told by the technician that came out that the business had been sold to Sunset. Winter came, and the unit stopped working during the night. I left a message with the service (who said someone would be out later the same day) and NOTHING! No call back, zero response. I left multiple messages and still no response when it was in the 20's out and we had no heat. Fortunately, I called the Ecobee thermostat people, and got a super nice guy who spent an hour on the phone with me figuring out how to get the furnace working after verifying that the problem was not the thermostat. Turns out the water drain line was not installed correctly, so it froze, and the unit shut down. Months later, and more calls, and finally a technician was sent out to fix the problem. Week later, same thing happened again because the problem was NOT FIXED or corrected properly. Again, I've left multiple messages over a several months, and ZERO RESPONSE! Worst customer service ever!!! And, now I found out that the UV Air Scrubber was installed incorrectly as well, and I'm still trying to get a response from the company. Everything is under warranty and we were told they are honoring Morrison installs! DO NOT HIRE SUNSET if you want customer service!
Morrison Heating and Cooling installed my new furnace today in about 5 hours. They left everything clean and neat and the new furnace is so quiet. The new furnace brought the temperature of the house back up very quickly. I have had Morrison service my furnace and air conditioner for many years and knew that I could trust them. Thanks again.
Morrison is no longer in business sunset has taken over and not impressed. They won't get my business
Called and can't even leave a message when they don't answer. System they unstained went offline and doesn't work so now I'll have to find someone else to service it even though they should after the install when it's still under warranty.
They replaced my heat pump and water heater. Competitive price. Showed up on time. Did nice work. Very polite. Would recommend. Very happy. My new heat pump started acting up in July a little over a year sense they installed it. I had them come out to fix it $129 later they did nothing but tell me if it acted up again they would replace two parts at no charge to me. Called them an hour ago was told I would have to pay another $129. I was told they have no record of what the repair teck had said and they would have to talk to a manager and call me back. I told them that if the manager did not agree don't bother calling back. W-a-i-t-i-i-n-g. There employees are NOT honest.
I had a mini-split installed at my home by Brandon and David. They did an amazing job, communicated clearly about the work, were nice to my friendly (nosy) dogs, and left their work area cleaner than they found it. AJ did the electrical and was great as well. The unit works wonderfully and is ideal for the space, thanks to Peter's estimate. Thank you all!
Morrison is now owned by Sunset. Estimate was CRAZY expensive. Maybe they are short-staffed and figure if they mark it up 2x, they'll make the most money with limited resources. Wanted 2 mini-splits installed at same location outside, to handle two indoor units 8' away (yes 8') on wall in LR and BR (back to back). Smallest units (9k and 12k). With "discount' and EnergyTrust $500, PGE $200 estimate was $18k. Yes, electrical conduit, breaker and cutoff switch needed to be installed and that was part of estimate. Why two mini-splits and not a multi? New Daikin R32 units not yet available in multi, but the refrigerant meets new climate change standards. I want to do the right thing, and the difference of the outdoor unit pricing shouldn't make more than $1k diff.
Start to finish what an amazing experience, Ray the sale person was really great to work with, gave me several options price wise and they were one of the most reasonably priced bids I received. For a new furnace and AC they were $11,000.00 cheaper than the most expensive bid for similarly equipped products(and that price isn't a type "o" along with other company only sold their own brand so couldn't even know what quality I would have gotten) that is how much more reasonable they were. The full cost was pushing my budget so we talked and he came down to meet me at a cost I could afford. The installation was within 2 weeks of the initial conversation, and they were all really nice and knowledgeable when talking to the installation team. I wish I would have started with these guys and not went through weeks of getting other bids before talking to them. What an amazing experience. Kirk
UPDATED 8/28/22: We are in the middle of a very poor experience working with Morrison Heating and Cooling. Our home had an old central AC system that needed replacing, and I got several bids from companies in the area. Morrison promised quality and their bid was more competitive than the other two companies, so I moved forward with them after reading reviews. The install was mid July. After the install, my nest thermostat stopped working (it had worked with my old system) and I managed to get it working after a reset. I called Morrison to please come take a look because the system wasn’t functioning as it should. A technician came out to check on it, and after he worked with some of the wiring my thermostat stopped working again. He said the system “just wouldn’t work” with the Nest, and that he’d install a temporary thermostat until they could come back to update the wiring for Nest. The system came back on, but after he left, water started leaking out of the condenser coil area in the system and my laundry room was covered in water. The following day, Morrison called me and said “Sorry, your existing furnace is not compatible with the AC system we installed, you’re going to have to replace your entire furnace.” They told me “Good news though, we’ll only charge you $1500 at cost.” I told them there was no way I could afford spending another $1,500 to fix a problem they caused. Eventually, their regional manager said they would “eat the cost” and install the furnace for free. The crew came out and installed the new furnace. They said everything was going to work great. After they left, the air conditioning didn’t work again and was just blowing hot air (this was during the heat wave where we hit 105º). We had to sleep somewhere else because our house had no AC and we had to wait for them to come back. They came back eventually and replaced our thermostat and charged the compressor to match the new furnace, something the crew didn’t do when they installed it. Fas
Jeff is very friendly, polite, helpful, and competent. This is the second year he has cleaned and maintained my units; he does a wonderful job.
Just had AC installed today and they were fantastic throughout the process, from quote to installation. They were communicative, efficient and friendly. Couldn't be happier with the service.
Simply put, these folks are fantastic! Every interaction, with ever single person, has been an absolute pleasure. I couldn't be happier with them and their service. Incredibly friendly, efficient, considerate, knowledgeable, and great communication all around. You can tell this is a very well run organization that truly cares not only about their customers, but also their employees. I would highly recommend!
The Morrison team provided excellent customer service, timeliness, and professionalism. They arrived early, communicated clearly the steps they would be taking, creatively worked to problem solve some of the quirkier/more challenging aspects of my old home, and left the space clean. The install looks great and I look forward to having AC for the upcoming summer! Thank you!
Steven was great. Diagnosed my issue quickly and gave me practical advice on my options. Didn't try to oversell me on anything like previous HVAC contractors have done. Saved me a ton of money, got my ac back up and running. Well definitely keep using Morrison.
We got a heat pump installed from Morrison's last week, and I recommend them to everyone. Great, personal service from very friendly and knowledgeable people. Their price beat out our other quote by $5k (!) and the whole process was easy and felt very transparent, no surprises at billing time.
What a wonderful company! I can’t believe what a great experience I had with Morrison Heating & Cooling. I would give them 10 stars if I could! From start to finish, everyone I dealt with was friendly, knowledgeable, responsive and really cared about what I wanted. Ray was my estimator and was the deciding factor in why I chose Morrison among several other estimates. He was available for a multitude of questions and did so with honesty, friendliness and patience. The price given was fair and a good value. Joe was prompt and transparent in getting me on the schedule and thoughtful in explaining how their scheduling worked. Gina in the office was friendly and responsive. I can’t believe the service I received from the installers! They turned a two-day job into one. All the guys who arrived to make this happen (David K., David D., Brandon, Greg and AJ) were friendly, hard working, and knowledgeable. They were funny and seemed to actually enjoy their job. It was a pleasure to have them here. I had a question regarding the way the thermostat was set up, so the next morning I contacted the office and spoke with Janet who promptly set up a follow-up visit for me with Jeff, who was very friendly, responsive and extremely knowledgeable. He answered all my questions and tweaked it so my new HVAC works exactly as I want it to. I don’t ever recall having such a positive experience with a company before. The work was top notch and simply everyone was a pleasure to deal with. They really care about their customers and their employees seem cared for as well. I highly recommend this excellent company for any HVAC needs!!
Armando & Brandon were great! Morrison Heating & Cooling was a pleasure to work with, they were informative and helpful. Their bid was competitive and they worked very fast! I highly recommend them to anyone needing furnace or A/C services!
Great experience with these folks! It's hard to find this kind of customer service. Im usually too busy to write reviews. Joe and his team made an impression on me, from the estimate to the completion. Very affordable, in fact best out of the two other I received. I haven't used the AC unit yet. But the heat has never blown this dang hard. House heats up quick. Wife is happy, I'm happy. Shout out to Janet and Jeff, thanks! Excellent experience with professional team that came out to install central AC to my home. Aaron H. Armando and Brandon answered my questions and were efficient and respectful to me as a homeowner while I had to work from my home office and be on calls/meetings. The AC worked after installation and overall great experience with this team of technicians.
Absolute five star service! Peter, the salesman was down to earth and very friendly. Aaron, Ryan, & Armondo installation technicians were on time, efficient, friendly and communicative. Janet and Gina in the office were readily available in office to answer questions. Morrison was fairly priced too and great at communicating throughout process. Highly recommend! Thank you!
